New Amsterdam really did themselves a disservice because this beautiful love story could have been their legacy. I have NEVER seen this kind of chemistry and portrayal of two people in love on a television series. They had an opportunity to please the fans, up the ratings even though they were ending after season 5. The way it ended was tragic on so many levels. If they knew Freema was leaving, and ultimately Max, why not have them marry with a beautiful upscale wedding, and even though Freema was leaving the show, make up some storyline that she had to return to London while Max stayed behind wrapping up all loose ends for season 5 NA. He would later be joining. The way it ended, him choosing Elizabeth over Helen made no sense, not with the intensity of the love he and Helen shared. It was so tragic how they ended their relationship, and how they treated Freema's character Helen. How many years passed because I read where Luna (his daughter) takes over as the new Director. How old is his Luna in Season 5. It makes no sense. There are a number of scenarios of how this wonderful show may have redeemed itself. Maybe I'm missing something since I've never watched a single full episode of NA. Had they treated Max and Helen's characters differently, I was about to binge watch the entire show. So unfortunate when i read how they villified the character of Dr. Helen Sharpe, and all that she had done. New Amsterdam had an opportunity to have the greatest love story be immortalized in the history of television. Loved Ryan/Max and Freema/Helen! 🕊❤️❤️🕊
It’s amazing and beautiful.Max’s face is everything he doesn’t understand why the love of his life isn’t coming.If he can’t understand imagine us I don’t understand what David Schulner has in mind .He has said people will get worried for lot of things but not for Sharpwin.Fans will have everything they have waiting for.I think he has made a mistake because the season 4 finale doesn’t heals anything it gives pain.And the relationship between Helen and her mother is still toxic

Yep it’s true she’s not doing the last scenes with Ryan at least she could’ve made sure that got married!!! Much later we will know the whole truth!! Both Freema and Ryan are tight lipped which let know something was going on behind the scenes!!! My point of view!!!
Max and Helen should definitely get married. They compelete each other in more ways then one.. Their songs should be YOU ARE THE REASON AND I WILL WALK 500 MILES FOR YOU.. TRUE LOVE AND ENDURANCE IS RARE THESE DAYS

Do the Right Thing, bring season 5 in with Max and Helen has talked and resolved the issue. Fast forward the timeline.Wedding Date set and they are more in Love and happier and their wedding is still taking place on the rooftop of New Amsterdam.Beautifully Decorated a warm and Romantic wedding with Luna as flower girl and their close friends, chaplin/minister to do the ceremony. Things are working out in a positive manner for everyone moving on. NA is up and running in full force .
Hearing this song " wow " makes me remember the last words of max she's not coming makes me sad .. what does the author want to make the ending of a good story messy in the last episode poor players have played a total of the ending of the story like that just wait and see S5 how did the writer fix this situation
