@@S_047 I'm assuming that last weeks rebellion was 10-20 villagers per giant for 60 to 120 people who engaged the giants and probably all died. The town hopefully has a population of about 1-2 thousand considering it was a good sized city before it lost half of its population to the briarwoods. I'm sure crit roll stats or wiki has the actual population of the city. But even so population and willing fighters are not the same.
That doesn't include public buildings like a town hall. Once they have control over the government they can confiscate the entire town if they want. Or just go around disguised as whatever until they get invited into every building therein.
A vampire lord dead, a goliath brute defeated, two of the oppressor's houses burned down, armies of undead skeletons shattered before them, and three different zombie giants were put down for good. Dawn arrives, and clouds form the crest of the De Rolo family in the sky. The rebellion begins its assault on the castle. This battle of good versus evil now begins. And the door almost wins.
Vax: We have a HOLY GNOME OVER HERE!!! KIKI: I WANNA MAKE HIM EAT A BAG OF HOLY DICKS!! PIKE: LET'S GO KILL THESE UNHOLY FUCKS!!!! (series not campaign but she was thinking it 😜!)
poopslord i dont disagree but they are pretty fun and happy on their own too. Especially with Sam. Its only when Sam is gone or Grog that i feel like everyone is just bleh
And thanks to the cursed land scenery in the last few episodes, Matt could just go into gore anytime with any players. Matt was especially giddy explaining gore in Percy Killings.
The characters really do reflect the players. Ashley has to leave for work in 3 hours, hasn't slept, and still wants to keep playing with her friends. What a pure soul.
TBH I understand her. I play online games with my friends in the evening after work a lot and when work gets too much and I can't join, I start to miss them so much. We're all living far away from each other so it's really important to all of us to interact this way.
Bit late but Pike is their moral compass essentially. They're all basically chaotic neutral save for Keyleth who I think is Neutral/Chostic good but she's just kind of a narc sometimes. Granted I'm biased because I'm CN myself 😂
Keyleth is supposed to be Neutral Good, but Marisha plays her more Chaotic Stupid. Vax is Chaotic Good, like Pike, and Liam is usually phenomenal in playing him that way (e.g. Kynan incident). Grog and I think Scanlan are Chaotic Neutral (the wiki says that Vex was originally NG, but was later switched to CN, though it doesn't give a when for that). Percy obviously has some issues currently clouding that Neutral Good alignment at the moment.
Fortunately no. There's no real opportunity for them to be strictly /evil/ though, and it gets less frustrating in my opinion. Either way, I'd say it's /totally/ worth it to continue watching, please do!
That is true, and I do understand and can even appreciate that. I just found this episode to be particularly frustrating. I'm sorry, but ((((MINOR SPOILERS))))... watching a group of barely-armed civilians get murdered by an undead creature to investigate some frayed rope seems a bit...cold, doesn't it?
taliesin: Check out our comic strip because the more people look at it the more people will think "this deserves to be an entire comic book Sam: big dreams talisin *one year later*
This is a great advertisement for why to play a cleric the minute Pike showed up everyone was suddenly 2 feet taller and grew a conscious. I'm sure it's partially Ashley's personality as well but wow Vox Machina is a totally different group with her around.
To that effect, they may just be role-playing what necrosis, desecration, despair and corruption can do to someone's mind. This simply isn't the truth of the matter cuz they totally just made this bloody for fun. Amazing imagery though albeit gorey and not what we want from our dashing heroes. Pikes reentrance brought them hope and reminded them all what they stand for.
Missed opportunity for Pike to reveal she came because she felt a need from Sarenrae, who was alerted of their need when the agnostic Vax prayed for safety for the team.
Nitpick: Someone who prays to a god is not an agnostic. Agnosticism does not work in the context of that world where gods exist and are pretty obviously there. Agnosticism is the belief that it is impossible to ever know whether gods exist. Which is nonsensical if you're touring with a gang of god-empowered people who quite literally wield the power of their god. If you mean to say he was not following a god, you could call him a former atheist (a = no; theos = god), which kinda works for him.
@@ALJ9000 One step further, it is the belief that it is impossible to know. If you think about it, nobody knows whether or not there are gods, neither theists nor atheists (some people might have that "knowledge", not going to go deeper there). Atheists don't believe in them, theists believe in them. Agnosticists believe that it is not possible to ever know. There will never be proof of their nonexistence and we can also never find them, because they're gods, not big sky animals we can somehow detect. This means there can be agnostic atheists who don't believe in gods and also don't think we can ever find out if they exist or not as well as non-agnostic atheists who don't believe in gods and are fairly sure they don't exist. In the same way, technically, there could be agnostic theists, who believe in deities whom they believe to be undetectable. The core tenet of most religion is belief, regardless of whether the object of belief exists or not. But yea, the word comes from Greek and basically means the "ism" of "not knowing". But if you put an "ism" at the end of something, it's usually a more firm belief in the thing. I might like waffles but if I'm a "wafflist", I probably believe in the superiority of waffles as food or something. A-gnosis is simple non-knowledge, but A-gnos-ticism is a mode of thought commonly associated with atheism and science but not technically the same.
@@LootFragg Depends on the worldbuilding. If you haven't personally *met* a god and can't cast divine magic yourself, all you really have evidence of is that some people who can cast spells claim they're empowered to do so by gods, and others claim it's just magical power that they've learned to manipulate. It would be perfectly possible to believe that a divine caster was just a superstitious wizard. Even the divine/arcane distinction doesn't necessarily prove anything when atheist druids and celestial-blooded sorcerers exist, and when a bard can learn to "Bless" people just by playing his lute super good. *Magic* is a demonstrable fact. *Gods*, as far as most people are concerned, are nearly as elusive as they are in the real world. You can be an agnostic D&D character right up until your cleric calls forth a successful Divine Intervention, or even longer if you're a stubborn enough skeptic.
Keep something in mind Laura LOVES hearing big damage numbers and LOVES getting to do stuff it's why for the first few episodes after taking a level into Rogue she was almost insufferably cocky, she dialed it down later on but it's worth remembering that she's a human being.
+Neo232100 who doesn't love hearing big numbers though? In a game where you feel the stakes and the pressure, the knowledge that you can do hundreds of points of damage and only do a fraction of that is extremely frustrating, if not worrying. They've put so much time into their characters that loosing any one of them would be terrifying. Remember Pike? Yeah, that shit doesn't feel good. It's nice to have glory and all, but it's more about knowing what you can do, and then falling short of your expectations.
Well yes that too. I just felt the need to point out that Laura wasn't even half as useless as she was acting like she was. Besides I was also pointing out that Laura is a human being and they can be mistaken.
To be fair, Laura's character is very often relatively useless, compared to the heavy hitters like Grog, Vax and Scanlan. And Kayleith is just much more versatile than Vex could ever be, because she's a druid.
“Run” Grog says with tense tone of voice. “ I will surely will run “ the resistance fighter says as he pick up sword and wipes it off. Then he turns and runs back to fight. “ I like him” Grog says with a big old smile on Goliath his face. Travis is always so much fun to watch
Ashley saying "Kick some ass! Come on! Let's go!" as Pike jumps into and vaporizes a horde of skeletons is simultaneously the most adorable and epic thing I've ever seen in 5E. *Little monstah.*
I bet Matt called Ashley after the last session like "plz Ashley they're letting civilians fight a giant alone and die doing so while they're loking at a tree, we need you"
I was thinking that while watching. It was like... Matt: There's a zombie giant fighting some civilians next to you Party: can we look at the tree? Matt: As you look at the tree there's still a zombie giant behind you Party: we want to investigate the tree Matt: Ok, so while the zombie giant is killing these guys next to you, you investigate the tree Party: Can we do anything else with the tree? Matt: Well there's a zombie giant behind you that just killed the citizens it was fighting and now he's walking toward you. Oh and now there's an army of skeletons coming from the other direction. Party: We climb the tree. Matt: (facepalm)
Pretty obviously by accident, but I think they role-played that previous "shitty" session correctly. In an earlier episode, they were directly told by the DM that this place was corrupting them. Even Keyleth. So a bunch of peasants used as free meat shields fit the narrative. So does the cleric "waking them up" in this.
Same! And this is directly after Keyleth's big fuss about going out to fight the giants and saving people. There was a giant RIGHT THERE hurting the people. Nah, the trees more interesting. They got this suddenly.
Vax: We're like family now, and I've seen you do many great things, and you have earned my trust. But, if you hurt my sister, if you hurt anyone else in this group inadvertantly, I-- Percy: I would expect no less. Vax: Well alright then. Percy: Vax? I have a sister! Vax: It's pretty cool, isn't it? This whole exchange, this whole plot arc, I just love all of it so so much
Really? I thought it was super cringe and out of character. He's dressing him down for no reason. They've been companions for years and never has this come up. Then he decides to talk like you would to a child, and pull a vin diesel from fast & furious for no actual reason.
@@Furthermore26 I get where you're coming from and I completely agree that Vax' mentality towards Percy gets annoying in later episodes, but right now, from a narrative standpoint, it makes complete sense to me. They may have known eachother for a while at this point, but no one actually knew ANYTHING about him personally. They also confirmed this on the stream and outside of it. Like, they were adventuring buddies, but no one in the group knew anything about his past and how he got to where he was because he is good at keeping secrets and ashamed of himself. So naturally, him mostly staying in the background for a long time until this arc started, I don't think anybody expected him to turn out to have such a volatile nature, especially the rare times when he REALLY gets angry. Even the players were surprised. The group is clearly worried for him because he's not in a good place right now, but they are also a little scared of what might happen if they don't keep him in check. Percy is my favorite character and I want the best for him, but Vax has every right to be worried, especially since Vex is getting close to Percy and he doesn't want her to be hurt.
@@Furthermore26 Not for "no reason", he made a deal with some unknown otherworldly being and they knew nothing about his history. Vax was concerned for his sister, which is far from out of character, and gave the typical brother speech about a friend dating his sister.. I've used that speech once upon a time, when I had a sister I actually gave a crap about.
@@Furthermore26 percy even said himself that he might hurt them and that they shouldnt hesitate to take him out if he tries, he also has an eldritch being visibly inhabiting his body. How is that 'out of nowhere'?

I've heard tales about Scanlan Shorthalt, Some say he's only 4 feet tall, can breath words of death & shoot lightning out of his arse. They are all true...
Would have been funnier if someone slipped a potion of greater intelligence into his ale as a prank without saying anything to the rest of the party.. Vax really missed an opportunity there to mess with everyone.
Wow, what whiplash of the Group dynamic. As soon as pike comes into the Picture they all act far more heroic and man do they love her, I mean who doesn't? Also The session seems far more hopeful and brighter when she came along… Please let her be here next time!
I am so glad she showed up. If not vm would have retreated for the night. The rebellion qoukd have been crushed. Her showing up forced the groups hand.
I can't decide if them having a devoted healer made them decide they could pull it off or if Pike really is the moral core of the team. Or why not both I guess.
Percy's soft little hopeful "Vax... I have a sister" was so pure and powerful. It's like he hasn't had the chance to really accept the fact that his family isn't fully gone. It's like sitting in this cave, knowing this battle should be the last of his journey of revenge, surrounded by his sleeping friends, he finally finds a shred of hope that there's something good at the end of this dark path. Uge I tear up thinking of it!

I just realized that when they make the show, this will probably be the first episode with Pike. So her introduction to the show is going to be her coming in like Gandalf at the turn of the tide, killing like 50 zombies at once, and then disintegrating a giant.
I believe since they are rewriting some of the story to still have surprises, one of the things they will change is that pike can be there for the whole story
I would just like to point out how absolutely adored Ashley Johnson is by the entire cast lmao They genuinely fangirl her whenever she opens her mouth lol and honestly me too, she’s pretty charming and tbh i discovered Critical Role because of her, so thank you Ashley, for your existence!
a year late but THIS! ive only been watching cr consistently for a month or two. it was ashley’s character in candela obscura that got me hooked. she’s just brings such a great energy, im hooked every time!
I'm always in awe of how much characterisation and flavour Taliesin manages to fit into just shooting a bunch of times. Especially in times like these you can see him strategizing _as Percy_ and portraying how Percy feels even as he's just doing a round of attacks like the other martial types. It really stands out, and makes every turn Percy takes feel unique.
Grog: untrusting of the old lady. Matt: further giving us confirmation she is indeed JUST an old lady. Rest of us in hindsight: BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHAIR?!!!
but she isn't just an old lady, Grog was right! I mean, he had very little reason to actually suspect this poor old woman locked in a cell in a dungeon of being an enemy, much less a vampire like he thought, and they were literally just being a bunch of assholes to an old woman which is apparently part of their M.O. now, but he was right at least.
Watching in 2020 and Taliesin announcing the comic strip and saying that hopefully that may turn into a comic book and animation and everyone else going 'sure' and 'big dreams' is soooo cute. Big dreams indeed.
Sometimes I forget that Laura and Liam are not ACTUALLY siblings because omg they are so good at it!! I cried laughing every time (When Vax had his foot injured in the Lava) Liam kept putting his foot up when they were healing him and Laura would give him shit . They are such adorable friends and the "I swear to Pelor, if you had gotten us killed!" fucking kills me.
Still very much "twinsies" (as themselves, out of character) in campaign 3, more noticeable once more now they're sitting together at the table again. The pranks and whispers and general sibling energy is still super adorable!
Well if you look at this as a show... An amazing weekly show that by now they thankfully have sponsors for, so they actually get paid for working on... He already is the author of a pretty freaking great story. There's a reason his name gets top billing on this.
I once wanted to be a writer, and I got good feedback on what little I wrote, but I never really wanted to write a novel, or even a short story. Now I'm just beginning to build a world for D&D and I am actually excited about it. There might be a reason Matt isn't an author. Or maybe he is, and we just don't know about any of his published work because he uses a pseudonym.
Spoilers! This makes so much sense for Perceval’s end of the campaign. He said he missed his family and that’s why he was always partially thinking this was all part of his own psychotic break. So him being extremely happy that there’s a possibility of having something that he’s always missed is totally with in the mind of Perceval.
Shoehorning Ashley into the campaign makes critrole so real. What d&d group doesn't have that one player who can't play consistently, for whatever reason?
When I was at my last assignment in the USAF back in 97, my work schedule was on a 9 day cycle, and I could only make a couple of games a month, but there were others in the game with similar schedules too.
Just started a campaign and one of our guys can’t play on the night we picked for about two months. We decided to give him a bonus to stealth and the story is that he is there the whole time but no one noticed him.
Pike is arguably the best person to be here. Being that in her religion just letting undead live is a sin pretty much. It's her holy duty to wipe Sylas and Delilah off the face of taldorei.
Granted since this moment, there is the grave domain clerics being created. Their very duty is to wipe out undead in all forms, something that the raven queen is very suited to be as a deity.
Vax in the tunnel, ignoring his sister's frustration at him. Liam IRL using a hand to block his view of Laura/ her view of his face. 😂 They do sibling energy so well
So, it's been more than 3 years, and I'm just now catching up here, but...when Grog had Trinket walk on his back? Yeah... In a game with as much exceptional roleplaying as the CR folks manage, it's that kind of tiny purely RP-based moment that shines forward. That's SO TRUE to Grog's character; it aligns with with the silliest throwaway phrase of ANY character in the group (...that Trinket gives *expert* massages). The group immediately picks up on it, and it creates this sort of sideline visual that everyone absolutely buys into as something that would happen - organically - in this world and in this group. I know it's a *trivial moment, but that's what often makes CR so exceptional -- these little organic moments that transpire between the characters because they REALLY know one another; they KNOW their shared history; they've really learned and internalized things about the other characters in the party. Just fantastic. I love it!
Instead of Rock, Paper, Scissors it's Door, Old Person, Vox Machina. Door stops Vox Machina, Vox Machina kills Old Person, Old Person has the door opened for them.
Scanlan and the giant was so great. He brings up his horn: *HOOOOOON-PIng!* Oh, my shawn... *weak horn sound* Bends over to fix it, the club goes over his head. Classic comedy.
Props to Liam, Vax is hands down my favourite character so far. In combat he's effective. In the group moments where they are talking/ camping he furthers not only the current story/ adventure but his own story threads and relationships. A true RP'er.
Vax and Percy have great arcs, and Vax made me want to play a rogue in my own first campaign. Grog is probably my favorite of them, with Scanlan being a close second, but as far as complex characters those Percy and Vax take the cake.
Man, I love that they had Pike back for one episode and she literally just astral projected in and solved all their problems. 1. Took out over half a skeletal army by herself. 2. Took out 1 of the last 3 remaining giants. 3. Healed a sizable portion of Percy's crazy. 4. Summoned a spiritual guard so that they could finally get some fucking sleep. 5. Made her friends the dopest breakfast ever. 6. Defeated the undefeatable door. Pike = MVP ETA: !SPOILERS in the replies to my comment!
Well, these guys are all voice actors that are heavily invested in popular movies, and each episode is full of references to various ones. The three point landing is kind of a staple in hero fantasy because it looks awesome, even though it would break everyone's legs if they actually had to fall more than a foot or so. And this table definitely errs on the side of cool.
I mean, he never specifies which points they land on. I do parkour, 2 feet and 1 hand, like spiderman almost, is most of the time a safer landing than just 2 feet. But the knee thing, completely ridiculous. With that said, I always imagine it as people trying to land on 2 feet but they cant support it so one leg collapses to a knee and they have to put a hand down for support.
The only way a three point landing onto a knee would work is if they landed on two feet and a hand, then the knee followed through. That’s how I imagine superheroes do it, so that I don’t feel pain every time someone lands in an action film. 😂
And for the record, her return was close to what I envisioned it would be: a Big Damn Heroes moment. AND she finally gets a finishing blow, and there was much celebrating!
Omg lol my favorite part of this is easily Marisha excitedly blurting "omg it's ripley!!" followed by Ashley's "...wait who's ripley?" into "wait, we're _stopping?!"_ I feel a lot of kinship with Ashley in general, but that exchange just solidified the feeling for me haha!! 😆
I think what he means is Liam isn't afraid to take chances. To go for glory, or to do something risky for the sake of the group. More so than any other, save perhaps Pike, would be willing to sacrifice his character if it kept someone else alive.
Rogues are, by definition, adrenaline junkies. You start off, at level one, as tissue paper with ONE heavy hit IF you don't get seen while sneaking about someone else's home.... it's all about risk vs reward for rogues, I think.
2:41:18 My sister tried to do the whole "put shaving cream in their hand and get them to rub their nose while they're sleeping" deal to me. The light woke me up, and I very groggily processed what she was trying to do as she put the foam in my hand. I let her tickle my nose and I twitched a few times...then I smacked her with the shaving cream filled hand. This reminded me of that.
$7.5M!! As of now, we're getting 2 episodes with a never-before-seen animated special, and 6 episodes from this arc (The Briarwood arc). If we can get to $8.8M We'll get the full arc animated!! If we can get more than that, we might even get to see the next arc in this story! I believe in us! We are critters, and we are indeed legion!
Even if you skip the break, I need you all to see Ashley-on-a-computer being held up to the crew camera at break to wave and show off her ice cream. (2:11:53)
John Leyderos it might be of sadistic of me to enjoy when she panics. Like when she wants Liam to use different dice for Vax's death saving throws and he says it doesn't matter and she cries "yes it does!!"
Don't mind me I skipped last episode because apparently it was pretty bad (according to the comment section but from the looks of this one it seems better)
Someone made a compilation of all of Scanlan's campaign songs (and what they were adapted from!), which really drives home how much of a musical improv genius Sam is. Vampires can mist through doors. Their true superpower.
Vampires can't enter buildings without first being invited in.
That doesn't include public buildings like a town hall. Once they have control over the government they can confiscate the entire town if they want. Or just go around disguised as whatever until they get invited into every building therein.
They were invited in for a feast held in the Briarwoods' honor.

A vampire lord dead, a goliath brute defeated, two of the oppressor's houses burned down, armies of undead skeletons shattered before them, and three different zombie giants were put down for good. The characters really do reflect the players.

Gosh I wish Pike was here more often. I love CR, but with her playing, they're acting more like heroes, just makes me happier.
+BloodrealmX Vex becomes CN in a later episode - episode 46, to be exact.
Fortunately no. There's no real opportunity for them to be strictly /evil/ though, and it gets less frustrating in my opinion.

It kinda helps that she turns a shambling hoard of undead into popping candy
To that effect, they may just be role-playing what necrosis, desecration, despair and corruption can do to someone's mind. This simply isn't the truth of the matter cuz they totally just made this bloody for fun. Amazing imagery though albeit gorey and not what we want from our dashing heroes. Pikes reentrance brought them hope and reminded them all what they stand for.
Vex: Pike, what did you roll for stealth?
Pike, the bright glowing avatar of Sarenrae with Full Plate Armor: ...Um....ten?
What Pike should have said upon healing the NPC: Remember: Shop at Gilmore's Glorious Goods!
Lol I thought Scanlan was going to say that
Missed opportunity for Pike to reveal she came because she felt a need from Sarenrae, who was alerted of their need when the agnostic Vax prayed for safety for the team.
@@LootFragg I thought agnosticism was not knowing whether or not there are gods period?
@@LootFragg Good to know. You know quite a bit about this
@@LootFragg Depends on the worldbuilding.

+Neo232100 who doesn't love hearing big numbers though? In a game where you feel the stakes and the pressure, the knowledge that you can do hundreds of points of damage and only do a fraction of that is extremely frustrating, if not worrying. Pretty obviously by accident, but I think they role-played that previous "shitty" session correctly. In an earlier episode, they were directly told by the DM that this place was corrupting them.
Keyleth: We notice when you sneak off. You do know that, right?
Vax/Liam: No, my rolls are too high; you really don't notice : )
It's even funnier and even cute when you realize Keyleth was flirting and Vax was trying to deflect it with humor.
Flavoring is why battlemaster is my favorite subclass
Yeah, he makes the Fighter class interesting (is that his class?)
I really wish he would make another character as brilliant and flawed as Percy (excluding Molly :'( )

Grog: untrusting of the old lady.
Matt: further giving us confirmation she is indeed JUST an old lady.
Rest of us in hindsight: BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHAIR?!!!
Let's not forget the nefarious door
but she isn't just an old lady, Grog was right! I mean, he had very little reason to actually suspect this poor old woman locked in a cell in a dungeon of being an enemy, much less a vampire like he thought, and they were literally just being a bunch of assholes to an old woman which is apparently part of their M.O. now, but he was right at least.
And NOW the team has reason to distrust all furniture! (C3 Ep1).
@@Reepicheep-1 I still think the animated furniture was Matt's revenge for the half hour they spent freaking out over the chair.
Watching in 2020 and Taliesin announcing the comic strip and saying that hopefully that may turn into a comic book and animation and everyone else going 'sure' and 'big dreams' is soooo cute. Big dreams indeed.
Wait, do they get a comic book? 😳 I'm new here this month. ( Its currently Aug 2021 )
@@therandomshow_ they have loads and loads of comic books and also 2 seasons of an animated show in the making

Just in case anyone still doesn't know, the animated series is on Prime and it starts next week!

11:55 when the gang laughs at Tal for joking about an animation... just made me smile so much- they had no idea!
It's just adorable isn't it?
Things I will never understand:
- Why Matt is not a professional script writer or Author. The stories and plots he comes up with are gold.
Well, part of the tale is what the characters decide to do. But I agree, his world building is spectacular, and I'm sure he would be a stunning author
Well if you look at this as a show... An amazing weekly show that by now they thankfully have sponsors for, so they actually get paid for working on...
He already is the author of a pretty freaking great story.
There's a reason his name gets top billing on this.
Mannequin Victoria Chas
I once wanted to be a writer, and I got good feedback on what little I wrote, but I never really wanted to write a novel, or even a short story. Now I'm just beginning to build a world for D&D and I am actually excited about it. There might be a reason Matt isn't an author. Or maybe he is, and we just don't know about any of his published work because he uses a pseudonym.
This is amusing because this year, he IS a writer on 2 D&D campaign settings this year. Including his own Tal'Dorei.
2:45:05 "Vax... I have a sister!"
MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THIS!
AniCat Gaming I literally started crying after he said that.
He looks so happy and I can't help, but feel everything is going to be sad.
Spoilers!
This makes so much sense for Perceval’s end of the campaign. He said he missed his family and that’s why he was always partially thinking this was all part of his own psychotic break. So him being extremely happy that there’s a possibility of having something that he’s always missed is totally with in the mind of Perceval.
His whole face lighting up is Adorable.
Percy has been in such a dark place for so long, the joy in his voice when he mentions his sister to Vax was such a pure moment I welled up a little

What d&d group doesn't have that one player who can't play consistently, for whatever reason?
Ya buddy! Thats me! Used to be a camp worker. 2 months gone at a time.
That would be I, The Once and Eternal Dishwasher
I love it!
C'mon Mercer, I've been watching these for the last 3 days straight. I don't need the recap, friend; I live in this world right now.
Hunter Martin it took me over two weeks to get to this point. Did you even get any sleep during your binge?
I have not slept since I've seen the first episode...I'm too far gone but now I'm free
You are my people 😂
5 days to get here for me... you’re insane.
Polar Elephant took me a week and half because I’m binge watching both campaigns
They are really really not good with the elderly. Like at all. Doors and old people, the bane of Vox Machina.
I'm sure one day they will come across an old person who looks like a door and that will throw them for a loop.
Instead of Rock, Paper, Scissors it's Door, Old Person, Vox Machina.
Door stops Vox Machina, Vox Machina kills Old Person, Old Person has the door opened for them.
Mad Hatters in jeans Tiberius will rise once again on that day
Gods forbid they come across an old door
god forbid they come across Tiberius
I love how Ashley chose to have less than 2 hours of sleep just to play with her friends.
Scanlan and the giant was so great. He brings up his horn: *HOOOOOON-PIng!*
Oh, my shawn...
*weak horn sound*
Bends over to fix it, the club goes over his head.
I love how Laura mouthed "Shit" when Pike asked Percy if he wanted to hold onto the corruption. I'd never noticed it before.
Pike = MVP

Oh... My heart melted when Percy said so excitedly, "I have a sister."
Literally anyone: does something cool
Matt: and she makes a three-point landing
Anytime he says that, I think of Deadpool. “She’s gonna do the superhero landing!”
Now I want Ryan Gosling playing Deadpool as a guest
Omg lol my favorite part of this is easily Marisha excitedly blurting "omg it's ripley!!" followed by Ashley's "...wait who's ripley?" into "wait, we're _stopping?!"_
I feel a lot of kinship with Ashley in general, but that exchange just solidified the feeling for me haha!! 😆
Vax is a great character cause Liam isn't afraid to let him die
... i agree that Vax is a good character, but i disagree with you saying it's because Liam isn't afraid if he dies.
CorwinC73 the tissue paper made me snort hard
MissMokate along with spellcasters they fall pretty quick. But as you see later they get some nice tools.
I applaud this. Well done
I would’ve immediately shoved the cream into her face when she put it on my hand if it were me
I guess she failed her sleight of hand role 😂

Can I just say that Scanlan/Sam is the best bard ever xD His ability to take songs and just adapt them! Cracks me up every time!
Someone made a compilation of all of Scanlan's campaign songs (and what they were adapted from!), which really drives home how much of a musical improv genius Sam is. It also helps that the rest of the group typically join in for a few bars and are otherwise enthusiastic about it.

sloesty I don't understand your logic. In theory, bones are more brittle than flesh, thus being more susceptible to hard force (bludgeoning)
sloesty ...what? Blunt force causes hard things to break, like, ahem, dried, old, brittle bones. Piercing I would agree with, hell, I actually believe skeletons should be immune to piercing damage, though most weapons using piercing damage have alternate form of attack, like a spear being able to be used to deal the same damage as a quarterstaff lol
Pike has it rough. She's doing all her math solo. Lol Also, it cannot be overstated how much of a DM god Mercer is. Ashley's like this is what I want and Matt's like okay, and creates an entire scenario with full descriptions out of a single prompt.
