I have been using both the California Mini and this Geo Sluice highbanker all summer, and I am so impressed with both units. They both retain even the tiniest bits of flour gold. It's light, compact and runs on a battery/bilge pump combo. The new lithium ion batteries are less then half the weight of lead acid batteries, hold a charge longer and can be charged thousands of times. Another win-win situation. I have been highbanking for 30 years, and this is a perfect fit for me in the autumn of my life. Jeff at Geo Sluice makes excellent equipment.
Hello, how long will a fully charged lithium ion battery run the 2200GPH pump if it is used full time ? I have read about 5 hrs, but you would know the answer. Thanks
I ran mine for the first time today with material I had left from running a homemade sluice someone gave me. I found a picker lol. The area I got the dirt from is not really known for pickers either. There's so much black sand i ordered a magic bit to try. I'm pretty happy with the machine and can't wait to take it out and test with it. The picker I got is really rough so i know it just came out the rock. Funny thing is I got that dirt from the road lol I noticed large pieces of black sand and scraped some up and brought it home
Thanks for the demo 😊it did a great job only thing I could suggest to increase your take and or keep the micros from making it as far down the sluice is to wet your cons before processing because gold is naturally hydrophobic and drys will tend to ride the water down further
I Always run my cons wet, I have seen small gold float out of my sluice box if ran dry. A drop or so of Jet Dry detergent is said to break up the water surface tension . Don't know I have not tried it .
The tiny circular mounds drop area where all the screened material falls, is a good indicator of gold. It holds some of the lighter gold like some of the v matts that some people add to their sluices. u.cubeupload.com/johnedmonton/sept8d.jpg

Didn't anybody ever tell you that you should Never sluice dry material, that's why your losing gold , always use wet paydirt when sluicing,
