The Mighty Roar of the Barbary Lion
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 29 сен 2024
- The Barbary lion, also known as the Atlas lion, was a majestic species of lion that once roamed North Africa. They were larger than other lion subspecies and had distinctive black manes that made them easily recognizable. Sadly, they were hunted to extinction in the wild in the 20th century, and only a few captive individuals remain in zoos. Efforts are now being made to reintroduce them into the wild, but it will be a long and challenging process. The Barbary lion's extinction serves as a reminder of the devastating impact that human activity can have on wildlife, and the importance of conservation efforts to protect endangered species.

A colossal and majestic tank weighing more than 300 kg of muscle, the king of beasts
I saw the male Ussuri tiger (Amba), whose weight was 381 kg. That was in the Harbin safari park.
Y’all need to understand this! Captive roar could never compare to wild life pure raw roar
It’s breaking my heart tbh
As a Berber, elders used to tell us story's about those mighty beasts, I feel sorry the only thing left of them is statues and cities named after them.
Hey quick question, do you guys call yourself berbers or amazigh? What is more common/appropriate? If you don’t mind me asking of course
@@MAruGGs Amazigh is much more common among the natives, but many are comfortable also with the term Berber which is what early Arab conquerors called the Natives here, though it's a bit offensive it's okay I guess, as we also refer to ourselves as Berbers.

Wrong, I can carry a concealed 44 magnum in the state of Texas, and with my very strong hand ..from weighting lifting...I can shoot him in the head
Stronger than you? I am sure that lion can destroy two of you easily.
He is beautiful Lion
My grandfather reported that the Barbary Lion was still in Algeria when he was a kid.
Dang bro look like a ancient statue
Got extinct due to habitat loss and "human activities"?? Say "hunting"! Man has brought this and other spectacularly beautiful species of animals, to extinction by hunting them rampantly. Say that.
Barbary, not barbabry! If you want to see them come to the zoo in Rabat the capital of the kingdom of Morocco.
Fun fact: during the french colonization of morocco, the french used to hunt and kill those lions, so the locals were catching them and then sending those lions to the king so he can protect them. After the colonization was over, the late monarch of Morocco, king Hassan the second ordered the creation of a habitat to those majestic lions.
I hope one day His Majesty The Barbary Lion is seen roaming in his wild Kingdom. 😢
this lion species built like disney lion king
Beautiful animal!!
I truly enjoyed the roar, the main reason why I clicked on this video. I was not left disappointed. My father can return any moment from the store with milk.
I love this lion
That first lion was like "Tonight is going to be the night that I would die for yew."
This shows how amazing humans are. No mighty beast can survive against our might!
No shows how greedy and violent we are
"No might beast can survive our might" including us humans. We can survive our own foolishness
😂😂 human supremacy
People don’t have the right to kill animals! We are not mighty we use weapons, animals are stronger than humans and way more beautiful than humans
I love lions❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
It would be nice the lineage of the Barbary Lion still excist in captivity, but lions are so undiscrimately bred with all kinds of lineages that is unlikely the lineage is still "pure".
Beautiful God created some amazing animals
1940s? Then why are these footages look new to me?
Their expressions have more personality
They need to make a comeback, someday, as Barbary Lions are so beautiful!
Look at him tough ain't he😂😂😂
Couldn't hear what was being said, the music was too loud! Why do peopledo that? Apparently they don't review it before posting it. 🙄
This makes me think how the cape lion or the mosbach lion would be now..
I only hear crickets in the background, no roaring tho?!, must be the giant roar of the crickets? Still nothing..hmm
Unique 🦁 roar
Would have been great to hear the roar
what a roar
There are still 40 atlas lions in Morocco under the auspices of the king, and their number increases every year thanks to the strict monitoring of them by specialists.
Where's the roar? Didn't get to hear that. 😕
Beautiful ❤
Let's take care of animals and especially those that are in danger of extinction, the barbarian lion was the most successful in combats in Rome and it is smaller than the African lion, but it has a warrior's heart, let's not let what happens to it same to the tigers that are also in danger of extinction.
Animals and plants Ecosystem destruction proves that we humankind are the Barbarians. I Wish for the protection of Earth Ecosystems 😢
These are just remnants of what a true/pure barbary lion was.
Hopefully when they are finally reintroduced into the wild they can get their splendor back
It was extinct because they kept evolving so fast
The King of the jungle, through time and time. 🦁👑⏳⌛❤💛
What a photo!
how can you say all that in the video and then not show us the roar of the damn thing
I guess I will have to go elsewhere to actually hear the roar…
Lovely video. However the music is so loud it makes it very hard to hear the narration.

I wonder why some Bastards, saw this Beautiful Creature from Africa and decided to Hunt them to Extinction ??? In 1940; A Bastard from another Continent, Came to Africa and couldn't discipline himself, he decided to shoot the Last Barbary LION 🦁 in the wild. WHY WHY WHY☹️☹️☹️ ??

why the zoos around the world don't create 1 habitat is protected only for the barbarian lions working side to side and with the government

Lions live the most harsh brutal life.....despite living in prides
Hyenas: "you sure?"
@@Doomguyhunter1 Male Hyenas: Why are we still here? Just to suffer?!
@@Doomguyhunter1 I mean at least the other hyenas allow them to live alot of the time and since hyenas are better hunters they don't starve to death nearly as often. Most male lions are killed as babies. The one's that aren't are cast from the pride when they get kinda big. They then spend their time alone looking for either some lone females to mate with or a pride to take over, most of them doing this will die and never get that far. When successful they start off by killing all the babies because they aren't their baby. If by some chance they're tolerated in the group and never get cast out, the dominant male is likely going to bite their nuts off at some point if they ever try to mate as they're wired to do.
So yea they probably do have a more brutal and harsh life than hyenas overall.
@@sepehradonis6959nah actually they are well treated just as long as they ate hot bad
Went extinct in the 1960s but the last known one was shot in the 1940s.
And now there is a few in zoos...yes im confused too😢
extinct in its natural habitat I think.

A Majestic Monster!
The first lion is not a Barbary lion. That is Halftail the king of the Marsh Pride.
Try filming an extinct species. Could be a problem. Are you always that duuh?
totally true, I have photos of them that my grandfather kept and I can easily say their head is way bigger than any lion out there and the mane is just insane not to mention the photos were of them next to people from my grandfather's tribe and they were all chilling like it ain't nothing bruh...they used to domesticate them...damn!
😱 you know the mash. We are friends now now 😊.

right?

Our coming generations will ask us why we didn't protect this creature😢
the good thing is we were atleast smart enough to zoo them before they died out. i think they plan to mass breed them and slowly reintroduce them but that could just be wishful thinking.
They wont even know about this creature sadly this species was borderline extinct in the 1900's
we are that generations asking this. it went extinct 2 generations ago
And I'll tell them I'm not a fkin zoo keeper
😂😂😂@@Rucker1980
It was seen in the wilderness in morocco this, week, many witnesses from remote villages in morocco claim they came across it in the middle atlas mountains forests, foot prints were also found. I really hope there still a wild population here in morocco
a truly magnificent animal
I hope people can get their numbers up and be able to reintroduce them back into the wild some how.
Nope their completely done only ones that exist are mixed breeds in zoos and even they are far and few between.
Ikr, that would be amazing. That is one stunningly beautiful creature!
Don’t know if the 80 specimens in zoos is enough to save them.
