funny thing though is if he did get the card he'd probably be able to cultivate a few plants in his home without white man's law getting on his azz about. 'just remembered they were on the Rez and that it's legal there and it's so obvious that I hit myself in the head for being so stupid. It would at least mean who could travel to one place or the next with a plant and no issues.'

Gary Farmer is a treasure. So many of his movies I grew up watching. Powwow Highway is my favorite but others like Smoke Signals, Dead Man, and the Tony Hillerman TV series were great. I got to meet him at my 2009 college graduation at The Institute of American Indian Arts. He came by the table I was eating lunch at with my family and stopped to shake my hand after I called his name and my mom took a picture with us.
My fav is John Trudell & Gary as the Coyote & Spider tricksters in Dreamkeeper.

Funny thing is if that weed medicine card is anything like my Illinois one, then even BEFORE it was made legal you were allowed by that card carrying to grow up to 3 plants. After legalization the number of plants went up to something like 5 or more? A lot more than anyone can legally do openly in the state when allowed, which I think is 1 or 2 at most.
Cool thing is that I know the first man, first person in Illinois to be charged and convicted of possession of that good green leaf. Back in late 60's, guy's name is Alex Paull. Even has a book about it. I sell him cbd hemp bud so he can something cheap with his tobacco and still feel pretty decent. He doesn't grow weed anymore and dude, the prices are Still hella expensive over the counter.

I’m from Oklahoma.. There are no reservations here in Oklahoma. They make it look like the natives are thieves and they make them look trashy in this. My kids are Cherokee.

White people are not allowed to live on reservation land but the whole state is full of white people in every town. Obviously you never seen real reservations land like in New Mexico 🤣🤣 the only reason why there is tribal jurisdiction here now is because of the new law they passed only a few years back. @@Truckenwhiteboy Federal Indian law is encoded in Title 25. Let's just say that a question about what that title says is way too broad to ever answer. Generally speaking, there are two types of reservation land, trust land and fee land. The US government holds trust land in trust, which has various restrictions on transfer, and is exempt from taxation: transfers require higher approval (tribe, BIA). Fee land is land that the individual(s) own outright. In the case of fee land, anyone can purchase that land.

You really enjoy hating on this show and natives alot. Such a vile and sad person, almost feel bad for you
Like real reservations, you could never contain the full spirit and flesh of indigenous people in one place, one expression.
It’d be a shame if you were so reserved, you never learned the depth of your own expression and life, and were stuck somewhere miserable, mirroring your pain on others.
Maybe take a lesson from uncle.
