Love ❤️ your review definitely getting one tomorrow thanks a million.
Awesome review. Thank you 🙂
Very informative. Thank you
It does say all the recipes are predicated on cooking on Medium, i.e. all the way round to the 3 o clock pos'n (ish). Great review, thanks.
4:00 That was my observation too. What's more, the LOW setting is quite warm to the touch. I wonder if it's really a *slow* cooker at all . . .
I have a mini Slo-Cooker, but it's very limited. Looking to upgrade, but sadly this wouldn't work for me.
I don't do non stick stuff and there's no "Auto" function on this one, which I'd really miss.
Still, thanks for the review.
Very interesting and very easy on the eye! 😉
What a superb video. One query, I've just bought the Morphy Richards 6.5 l Slow Cooker and it looks identical to the one that you're using. However, the cooking pot is ceramic not metal and I assume that rules out using it directly on the hob. Have they changed the pot to ceramic, or can you still buy one with a metal pot?
Hi thankyou for your video can u use the searing pan on a induction hob thankyou for your help 🙂
10:51 "sowtay" haha
With you on the dial setting order. Mines arriving Monday to replace an old one that died.
Oh wow my inner pot is broken pls where can I get another Tnx
Hi can i cook rice with it on before using i have to take off the black pot
I’ve heard that the settings on this are quite low compared to others. Apparently the ‘low’ setting is more of a ‘keep warm’. Any thoughts?
I bought on of these and had to return it because it would not cook properly. The heater element at only 163 watts (I measured it at 155 watts) isn't powerfull enought to get the food up to a decent cooking temperature from cold quick enough before the automatic programme turns itself down at 4 hours then keeps it warm for 2 hours which is not enough heat and time going into the food to cook it properly. If you cook it for longer than 4 hours its automatic programme goes onto a lower temperature which ends up with the same under cooked results even after 8 hours. The only way to make it cook properly from cold is to overide the programme and cook the food on high for at least 8 hours but you must be there to stir it ocasionally because it cooks more on the opposit side of the controls which is probably made like this to protect the electronics. Nearly a good product im waiting for version 2 to come out good job I kept my old slow cooker : )
Does the searing pot work on an induction hob? Many thanks
No
I am a bit confused as to how long I need to cook food and at what setting? Also, the slow cooker does not seem to have a setting to stop cooking after the requisite time.
I love my sear & cook slo cooker but I had a problem never had in any other slo cooker that gave me a problem the glass lid completely shattered right in to my cooking so upset it is now stuck in a cupboard lid less.
I understand this only gets to 225 degrees at peak and 144 below the high setting. That's just too slow. Any recommendation for a 300 degree slow cooker?
Having a 300 degree slow cooker would be quite contradictory
Can i use a ceramic hob with it?
It says it is ok to do so.
What about induction?
Slow cooker newbie here. I got this slow cooker but didn’t realise there was a searing element to it and I’ve got an induction hob so it’s not compatible. Can I still use the slow cooker as normal and if I want to sear just have to do that separate or should I return and get a different one?
Yes you can use it like a regular slow cooker you will just have to brown whatever it is you want to cook beforehand in one of your own pans like you would with a normal slow cooker.
The "sear function" is just a handy feature in that you don't have to dirty another pan.
Thanks!
Hope there is some left! I’m on my way with fresh home baked bread rolls 😂😂😂😍
Well if you’re bringing fresh bread rolls 🥖 I’ll stick some more on now 🥣
