Khichda is also called haleem or harees with few minor changes, it has got very ancient & interesting history, after the flood ,when prophet Nooh AS (Noah' s Ark) reached mount Jodi ,he asked people to bring whatever they had with them, cereals, pulses etc ,they mixed all the ingredients & made this dish.
