I LOVE your videos💕 and I love how you show your steps and how you’re so honest about how sometimes it takes a lot of tries and can be really frustrating. I’m SO new to trying vintage hairstyles and most the time right now end up with a mess but your videos really have given me a place to start.

It always takes a long time to do elaborate hairstyles, especially when just starting out. To give you reference, it once took me almost 4 hours to do 20s wave, to set it all in place the way I wanted, but I was happy with results. Some other time it took me 2, still didn't turn out the exact way I wanted, I didn't feel like continuing and just left it as is which was also nice, but a different look.
Even when you know what you're doing there are "bad hair days".

Its really beautiful. I was trying although my hair is much shorter, once you get the idea of making the rolls around your fingers, it gets easier. I found setting it in pin curls gives you lots of practice too. Onward and upward...hopefully I will be victorious (my hair puts up a good fight though!).
It’s all about practice for sure! And also there are days when the hair is on board and sometimes it’s not, that can happen too 🙃

Do you need to back comb with curly hair that already has volume? I feel like if I back comb my daughter's hair, it will become knots and impossible to comb back out.
