I've been waiting a looong time for this game and finally, it's here!
Growing up with Bethesda games such as The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind shaped my taste in video games a lot. I love open world games, ready to be explored with freedom to be who you want to be.
The gameplay feels a lot like our beloved Bethesda titles like Fallout 4, the maps of space and traveling there gives me Mass Effect vibes - especially since you are collecting data from the planets.
So far the Graphics are awesome, yet still feel like a Bethesda title, especially the faces of NPCs give it away - and of course, the ragdolls you hit with melee and they go WEEE :D
tl;dr : I am enjoying the heck out of the game so far!

@@ashesantics pretty cool! I feel it is a bit slow at times, but maybe I just had always picked the less action-heavy and more talky-talky quests :D and I I struggle with the ship controls. they don't make sense to me.

A big part of the fun here is watching the process as you create your character.
I love how in half the let's plays I watch people take Vasco's ammo when they first open his inventory. Later they usually question why he isn't helping them shoot enemies. Vasco should have a dialog line saying, "if you take my ammo I won't be able to help you shoot enemies". Leaving it as is leads to confusion although if you have played Bethesda RPGs it should be intuitive that he is holding ammo when you have not given him any because he needs it.
The digipicks are connected to the security skill and as you rank up security it will highlight the rings in blue when that possible key could work for the specific ring.

The reason it jumped u into battle so fast is bc u skipped the tutorial by allocating energy to every part. If u just waited for Vasco he woulda went through each one with u
Ah Lizz, that was really cool, I have been watching one of my favourite streamers Grohlvana play this and I could not figure out how he was doing the lockpicking! But watching you made it clear in my head how to do it, so thanks, for when I get to play this :)

After watching many of these Starfield character builds, it seems to me that a lot of people don’t realize it’s completely optional whether you choose any traits. If you don’t like the negatives, just skip traits.

when you first traded gear with vasco. you took his ammo lol. he couldnt fight the whole time thats why he just stood there looking at them. companions need 1 round of ammo for their weapons

This game is far and beyond the gaming experience I have been waiting for my entire life. Within 5 hours of gameplay, without even getting far into the story, just from the exploration aspect, this has entered my top 10 games of all time!

Seems really good despite the criticism it’s gotten. I think it’s the “console wars” thing lol.
I really hope you liked this game, I loved Starfield, but I'm a massive star trek fan and love Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, so this game was right up my ally. I liked the quests as well, though the first few hours were boring for me, after that I started getting attached to the companions. The only thing i didn't like at first was how simple the flight controls are. The tutorial is very thorough though.
Todd Howard said he offered to make a Star Trek like skyrim game but couldn't get it.
They had the face capture thing for MLB The Show and when I used it the face in the game looked nothing like me.

@@LIZZgame some of the coolest side quests and main quests I have ever played in my life, Bethesda or not. If you hear a distress signal when you get to the Charybdis system, answer it. Trust me lol

May have to be a ronin once I upgrade my potato. 2/3 skills isn't bad, melee is fine in case ammo runs low but stealth sniper will be center of my play style.

Never played this, but looks amazing. I also loved their Daggerfall (never finished it), Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim too. All beautiful games, with or without mods. 🙂
I basically grew up in the lands of Morrowind! Skyrim is cool too, never played the others. Oblivion is on my to-play-list!
@@LIZZgame haha yeah, I must’ve used so much time on character creation screens, including on games like baldurs gate and neverwinter nights for PC (hope this gets a remaster some day, but unlikely)
Started playing this too (30hrs in per my save file atm) had to stop playing BG3 but I think I'll be back playing BG3 in a few days, the game is good, but it's no where near the level of hype that was made it out to be. If you love Fallout with better gun play... then you will love Starfield. I also skipped your final vid on BG3 Lizz, didn't want to spoil the end game boss fight for me 😆 Anyone else feel the "space" sections of this game is a bit clunky? 🤔

"I know they're buggy sometimes" - no! They're ALWAYS buggy. It just depends on how much. My first playhtrough was actually bugless up to the middle. Then I wanted to try something different and started a new game in parallel. Stole a ship, took off. Half the ship remained on the planet. Up in orbit a pirate attack occured. I couldn't do anything since the reactor of the ship was back down on the planet. And it got worse. So ...

This game is fun for making your own spaceship. But globally, "Starfield" is a "Starfailed".
I guess its a bit late to say this but your Robot can fight/shoot because you took its ammo away

@@MrGenenmi Nope its not and it probably never will be out 😂... but OP has good point, when it comes to the way Starfield handles the "space section" of the game, the big three space games have done it better. (NMS, SC, ED) 😁

@@MrGenenmi while the game is not out of early access and as the person already replying to you said, it probably never will be lol. you can get the game and play it freely and the updates are very active. They even do free weekends like once a month or so. So yes, it is technically accessible to anyone with 40 dollars and a hardware that can launch the game.

@@LIZZgame 14 year old me would have played Starfield for months at a time. When I started playing video games, trees were still square. People should chill out a bit and be happy that games have developed so dramatically in the last few decades.
