Hey Roger I’m from Belgium and living in NSW close to Stockton beach. Your videos are very informative and I’m hooked now. Love your content. I’m hoping to catch my first fish from the beach soon.
Great spot Roger. I don’t know about worms but heaps of pippis on beach. Up towards where the houses finish. The wall also is a great place for spinning casting a few lures and luderick fishing. Have fished the inner wall walking along soft plastic for flatties. Great choices to suit all conditions.
I'm quite envious we have a nice storm here In Alexandria Egypt. just watching everyone in the west fishing is just frustrating ,wish you the best of luck uncle
So Roger thanks for giving me a chance to dream about summertime! Here in Pennsylvania it was -1 this morning 😢. Not a fan of ice fishing. You give me relief watching the waves and casting out!
Thanks Roger. Your videos have been helpful. I also like when you share a video like this to show it is normal to have a session where you may not be super productive but having fun. It is more realistic and balanced instead of just showing us all the better side only. Otherwise as a beginner like me would be discouraged and feel hopeless all the time 😅
My 3rd ever time out last night beach fishing (C.Coast NSW) for a similar experience to this. Being ankle deep in warm water watching the waves, the serenity was fantastic. Only the one Whiting on the 2nd cast but I’d have been just as happy with no fish and just being there for the hour or so. Quick question if anyone knows but did Roger have his first hook (worm) up above the weight and the bottom hook traditionally below?
Do you ever check the barometer on what the air presser is doing because i have a watch with a barometer in it and seems fairly acuate. I dont know if this is true or not but when the barometer is low the swim bladder expands and fish eat less because it shrinks the stomach and there is a saying 1020 fish are plenty the swim bladder shrinks and plenty of room for food.
Hey Roger, good to see you out there. I'm laid up in bed with a bad back and covid so living vicariously through you. What do you think of the metal spike rod holders? The swell on the butt of my rod makes the plastic pipe to large a diameter to easilt push into sand. Also, I'll be seeing you on your beach trip in February. Really looking forward to it.
Hey Roger, what type of rig and bait do you recommend to target Bream. I usually use a Star Sinker and 2/0 long shank with Worm, but I find it pulls in more whiting than others. I have caught bream, salmon and trevally but like i said more whiting than anything. love the vids keep it up
It is good to see even for you pros it doesn't come easy. Tough session, great info, thank you. Are you running two leaders from the swivel for the dual baits? Or is the top hook tied to the same leader as the deadliest rig? Thanks again.
Still waiting for a jewfish capture roger. There are so many on the south coast but you seem to struggle. I want to send you to my beach but my mate wont let me share it with you.
@@talesuntoldx Several times on this and other fishing channels, in both the videos and comments, people have said there's no beach worms in Africa. I don't know what they're on about because all you have to do is type it into google to find that - yes - there are. There's four types and one species is even endemic to the region (only found there).
🎣 we have a variety of marine worms in south africa, most of them are found in tidal estuaries and under seashore rocks etc. One species I know of is found in the shore wave dump area, in one place I know of. England has their rag worm on their coast 🎣
Sorry, didn't you say in the last video your medium combo is a 9 foot 6 inch rod (you didn't say what size reel - you got distracted by a fish and didn't return to the subject) ;-D and your LARGE combo is a 12 foot?

I’m from the area also, I haven’t tried beach fishing yet but I’ll be going on Stockton beach I’m not sure where abouts on the beach yet
Oh mate this is perfect, trying beach fishing for the first time (south coast Australia) and your videos have been a godsend

So cool to watch all the things I did wrong this last week at Ulladulla 🙂
Awesome a mid week video. Thanks Roger. It’s a bonus not having to wait till the weekend. Love it.

Sometimes you can’t worry about every detail
If you really want to catch more fish - go fishing and stop worrying about some gauge saying it’s no good .
Really enjoy your videos Roger. Always full of useful information and you catch fish!

Bonus video? Happy days 😊
Do you have a video on how you dispatch the various species?
Hey Roger what app do you reckon is the best for checking conditions
Tks roger

Love watchin* from Manchester UK. originally from SA. So remember wonderful days beach fishing. Where in Oz are you based? Thanks again

Hi Roger, whats your thoughts on a reel with a baitrunner function
Hi Roger awesome video I'm just wondering how wide your pvc pipes are or should I invest in a proper rod holder from BCF
Hi I have a BFC in my garage. It is 50 mm x 600 though I think you could go a bit longer. Bunnings has 50mm by 1 m for 12 bucks.
@@Backtrack2823 Thank you I will definitely consider it!
Do you always use a leader, like is it essential

Where do you get your pilly ??? Igloos so fresh

Are sea worms found in all regions of the world or are they specific to certain countries?
