Everytime I see the pupa access that one old lady's memories so she could see her mother I get all weepy. I know it's just a bit so he can get his harry Potter whistle but still. I found it profound and moving.
What I love about it is that they didn't do what I expected from every adult animated show nowadays which is to do the profound scene and then kill her, but I'm glad they chose to just keep it simple by having all of that be for a Harry Potter whistle and two batteries lmfao.

I feel like the pupa is a kind of an all knowing cosmic entity with extremely bizarre whims and cravings. That can and will get them in any way and there is no way of stopping it. And the only reason it doesn't terraform the planet is because it is having fun.

When he was usurped, he was thrown out of the wall, and the lady there, Cherri(I think that’s how it was spelled?) helped do it, but was then stabbed in the back and thrown out as well by the new leader of the wall, Tim. The Duke and Cherri had spent a year working together to try and help her escape the backyard, and he kind of had a weird thing about not wanting people to see his dick. Which he brought up in rare but strange occasions. I think Cherri basically had a moment of curiosity since he made a weirdly big deal about it, but then decided not to out of respect
If the pupa or someone/something like him would offer me the chance to regain my memories, I'd pick my past lives and the oldest memories of the life I'm having right now.
Wait how did she forget what her mother looks like wouldn’t she have a picture of her I mean she can’t be that old my grandma was born in the 1950s and she has pictures of herself and from the look of her clothes her mom had to be in the 60s so there’s something wrong there
My grandma (she died recently at 81) had a the only picture of her and her mother together. The yellow, completely rubbed one. And it was gone by accident, when it was put alongside fuel into the furnace, more than 40 years ago. Her mother drowned in her 30s, so they didn't spend that much time together. So I believe how you might not remember the look of your mother, when you spent only the childhood with her, being an elderly yourself and the only evidence was gone decades ago.
