- @saltycaptain1840 I purchased the Salty Captain Musket. I just wanted to see how it worked for my Sea-Doo. After-all, I ride in the Ocean every week. I needed to ditch the "hand washing" and get something much more efficient for my PWC. #seadoo #saltycaptain #

Best review I’ve seen. Ordering one. Salt-away unit keeps cracking. Thanks.
Yes. Same here using the salt away unit.
Absolutely love the salty captain musket.
I will be doing another review very shortly as I now am using their wash products as well.
I have been using it for a couple of years and love it! Salty captain musket makes it easy
Great! Thanks for chiming in. Where are you chiming in from?
@@TheOceansideGuy I’m in Australia 🇦🇺
Oh wow. Cool!
The “Musketeer” has been around for at least 5 years and the adjustable hose nozzle and fittings have been available since the late 50s early 60s, was looking for a review on the cleaning ability of the chemicals.
Yes. They’re cleaning agents are going to be reviewed here shortly. Look for a video coming on that soon.

Great Vid Deric 👍 I’m from Australia, best think I ever use on my Ski 🤙
I tend to use the blue stuff for the engine flush also can use like u did on ur ski ..
I use the pink Salt water Detergent too wash my ski , must say that’s also amazing, breaks down the salt 🧂 😅👍
Wow. Thank you for your comment. I really enjoyed the musket. Going to keep using it!
I may have to try the salt water detergent to wash the ski.
Thanks for the video, I’ve been thinking about getting this kit. So it looks like a person should buy one extra quick connect for the butt of the gun and you should be set?
You’re welcome for the video. I figured someone else would need to see how the product works. Thanks for chiming in.
Yes, it does come with a connection to add your own quick connect at the bottom of the gun. But as you saw in the video, mine did not connect too well so I just took off the connection piece that came with the unit and plugged straight into the gun using my own hose.
I bought the kit and the product seems good but I feel that the gun is cheaply made and the plastic quick connects release every time you drop them even from a foot or so off the ground. I do like the product tho
Have you or will you install the Ergolock knee pads at some point? they would look great on your ski
Hi. Not yet. Been thinking about it.
What connect did you use on the hull?
Actually, the connect comes with the salty captain musket, so it fits perfectly.
Within the next week, I will be putting out another review on this product.

Leaking seals is not a good look for the brand. Bad seal on the connector.
Ok
Also after you do the salt wash and rinse, do you give the ski a good hand wash? Do you wash down your engine compartment after your ocean rides?
So with this set up, it washes the salt right off. I used to give it a good hand wash, but now this replaces that.
I only wash down my engine compartment if needed.
I do keep it clean as well as spraying it down with a water displacement.

Interesting product. Only thing is you are only flushing the exhaust on a seadoo. You can’t run them out of water for long without frying your carbon seal and the engine as seadoo uses the submerged ride plate to cool the engine and the water it’s in the cool the carbon seal.
Yes that is correct.
Another reason why when flushing the ski not to run it “out of water“ for long periods of time and be sure to follow the Sea-Doo manual.
Would have liked to see if the product actually removed the salt from the ski.
Works just like salt away. This video wasn’t really meant to show how it takes salt off but how the gun actually works. I appreciate your feedback. Maybe the next video I can show more detail.
why do you have to flush it and how often do you do it?
After every saltwater ride is when I flush out the exhaust system. The saltwater is very corrosive.
what happened to reg number standing out from the hull?
Not sure what you’re talking about?
@@TheOceansideGuy your numbers are black. your hull is black. the numbers by law are supposed to be visible from a distance.
