The little amount of soft brushing you do with a brush at home simply cannot deal with the plaque on the molars. Experienced techs will tell you this...If you don't do this, they will start to lose teeth. It is less expensive than permanently losing a molar. It is usually the biggist treatment the animal needs, and, with any luck, you will find a tech who gets along well with your pet and they two do a good job. Usually, you can learn the Vibe between the tech and pet quite fast. When the vibe is good, the animal let's the tech pull off large pieces of plaque at one time and the job is done fairly fast. *But It Is Critical...
The toothbrush has to be wet..then put the toothpaste for pets on it...plus get the toothbrush for small pets But on another note...Bingo is ADORABLE...😍

But here's the thing, if the tartar has turned to Calculus(hardened on the teeth), the toothbrush will only be affective on the anteriors(the front teeth) and the posteriors(the molars) will need deeper cleaning by a professional. It won't hurt your babies to be put to sleep for a good cleaning once a year. It will preserve the life of their teeth. Invest in a smaller toothbrush and cat toothpaste for the time being. I used to brush my dog's teeth. I had a toothbrush and a little finger brush, that she preferred for her back teeth, and flavored enzyme tooth paste. However, for serious hardened plaque, you need to have your vet scale Bingo's teeth. If you make it a game and let Bingo chew on the bristle end of the brush while you hold it, he will get used to having it in his mouth.
When he goes to collage have him major in "Dentistry" then he can take care of YOU GUYS when you get old! Also I agree with the guy said to take him to a vet to have then REALLY cleaned, it's really important to do that. My cat got a bad gum infection from a bad tooth!

Yes, this is the best way. Get teeth cleaned at Vet every so often, but not all the time. Vet can tell you what is best.
