Very instructional video indeed but I have one comment to make. The video shows only one spring being removed when the accumulator piston is being taken out but two springs being installed when the re-assembly is being done(a smaller spring inside a larger one). This should be explained in more detail as I am in the process of repairing my overdrive and I have narrowed down the cause of my problem to insufficient oil pressure when the unit has warmed up. It works fine when cold but is sluggish as it warms up and then eventually fails to work at all. It seems that the addition of the newer extra strength springs will increase oil pressure and help to solve this problem, hopefully. Companies like Ahead4Healeys in England offer a kit which includes the two springs and a new accumulator piston. It would be great if the person making this video had been more informative about this aspect of the rebuild.
Thanks very much for this most interesting and detailed teardown and reassembly video.
I can't thank you enough for this video Magnus! I'm rebuilding a BN4 and your video walked me right through a tough task.
+Chris Arneson You´re welcome!
Excellent, excellent series on our infamous Healey overdrive
Brilliant video, many thanks Mike
Very nice with all the special tools
Could you show how it works , or doesn't in my case

Do you have one for sale for a 73 MGB? Perhaps the entire transmission.
Magnus, you forgot the magnetic washers that are placed between the filter gauze and the large bronze filter oil drain plug...
Yes Michael. At least I forgot to show them in picture and some more things like how to remove the accumulator housing...
Are you in the uk as I need my overdrive rebuilding
Okay you're in Sweden
