I can't believe how quickly we have reached this point in the house moving series!! But, it's finally time to share our moving vlog with you. This was supposed to be a one day vlog but it ended up being a whole weekend vlog as I kind of under-estimated the amount of work this move would take! Ok get someone to swap the direction the door opens is an option or put the sofa on the opposite wall or have the sofa going lengthwise across the back doors instead you might find the measurements workout better
We did think about hinging the door on the other side. I’ve got used to it now but defo something to think about in the future. Thanks for the suggestions 😊

That’s a good idea! We decided to work on the living room first which is slowly coming along. I think next up will be some better shoe storage as we need MORE 😂 and then we can decide if that space still needs filling or not

What about putting the sofa on the other wall and put the TV where the sofa is
We did think that but we have a radiator on the side where the sofa is and all of the tv wiring etc is on the opposite wall. We are happy with it now we’ve got used to it 😂

Now we are used to it, I’m happy with the sofa. Think at the time I was tired and then got emotional when I had a bit of a shock 😂

My partner gets like that! Nothing stays in one place for too long 😂
Is it common to have a door for living room to close off from rest of home?
Everywhere I’ve lived has had one. Tbh we never really close it anyway but sometimes it’s a nice way of making things feel more cosy 😊
Switching the sofa and tv round opposite sides would be more open without blocking the doors
I thought of that but now we are used to it I can’t be bothered 😂 I was so worried when it first arrived but now I love having a big sofa to stretch out on during the evenings 😂
I must admit I agree with Shannon, it probably would look more open on the other wall. It would fit great there and would free up the lounge door too. I get it though, you’ve not been in long so naturally you just want to enjoy your new home understandably. Maybe later on when you want to freshen up the walls with some paint try it then. It’s your home though so it’s up to you how you have your furniture 🥰
First time to your channel. Loving your new home. I would definitely try the sofa on the other wall I think that will fit so much better. As least you won't have to worry about opening and closing your door x
Thank you 😊 we spoke about moving the sofa after reading comments about it but all of our tv plugs are on the opposite wall and behind where the sofa currently is there’s a radiator. So don’t think it would work well for us
