I had the pleasure and honour of being asked to play #Odin for this music video. 🤟🏼 Always awesome to work on music that you personally love too. Thanks dudes.
@Carl Gunderson I was just talking about the aggressiveness, the raw riffs and the speed of the drums. Lately their songs have been more melodic and slower. The last album I remember with hard songs was Deceiver. But that's just my opinion. You don't have to like it and I might even be wrong...but it's still my opinion. Cheers
It seems you are more of a comment archaeologist, as yours resembles the top comment under Manegarm's 'Odin Owns Ye All'. Good taste in music this delver of history has
I saw them at a venue in Louisville, I was like 6 feet away from the stage, and by the time I was heading home, my ears were ringing, and couldn’t hear anything. But I loved every second of that show!
I remember seeing these guys in 2007 on the Sounds of the Underground tour and thinking this band needs to be huge. This song all these years later only reinforces that thought.
The Pursuit of Vikings is where they really took off. I also seen them at SOTU that year, what an experience. Crazy, I think the lineup went: Goatwhore, Amon Amarth, Necro (the rapper). That crowd was HEATED. But that wasn't even the worst part, The Devil Wears Prada had a 30 minute set and spent at least 10 minutes talking about Jesus. But Job For A Cowboy absolutely killed their set.
Cannot tell you how much I needed this today! Rassragr customer who sorely needs a visit from Ivarr the Boneless. A warehouse so cold it would make a frost giant shiver and a system so antiquated I'm fairly sure ragnar lothbrok brought it over!
@Amon Amarth I was at your concert in Las Vegas at the Pearl concert theater at the Palms 5/24/2024. It was such an awesome show!! I fucking loved it!!. It was the most awesome show I've ever been to. Thank you so much guys! It was fucking awesome!!! I was on the floor right in front of the stage and it was fucking awesome!!!
Playing Amon Amarth is one of the only things that'll consistently soothe my newborn when she's fussy, though Cry Of The Blackbirds in particular seems to be a favorite.
Thank you. Thank you so much. This is marvelous. I’m just on the verge of tears. The folk need to be spurred on to learn about their forebears. I would love to listen to this while peacefully and nonviolently helping the Abrahamic religions leave Europe.
I pray to Oden you come back to Vermont my Norse soul needs your music more then anything! I will brew a mead to your return and have it ready for many horn worth!!!!
Saw these guys in concert like 2019 and i havent listened to them since. However i was watching vinland saga the other day and it led me to remembering this band lol

Good to see many fans like the new album...i think the half songs are good and the other not so much ( we are talking here about amon amarth not a usual band). Old amon amarth songs were 💣. If u just discovered amon amarth now source their first albums, huge difference, too good to repeat them and after so many years they try to make smthing new....im not against that but i really love the old albums so much, since u hear them u cant forget this taste they are leaving to u
Yeah, their early stuff is incredible. It was the perfect balance of melody and hard hitting drums and bass. This just feels like Death Metal by the numbers. Repeat a verse over and over again, throw in a solo, repeat a few riffs and then call it a song as it ends sounding just like how it started.
@@johnpolimeno1264: Yeah, it happens to the majority of bands. A Children of Bodom never really had a great album after their first four or five until their last one called Hexed. The same thing can be said about Arch Enemy who just seems to be playing the same old music over and over again since Doomsday Machine. Amon haven't been good since With Odin On Our Side and, unlike the other two groups I mentioned who always managed to produce a few hits since their glory days, (Arch Enemy is especially good at coming out of no where with a song or two that kick ass on otherwise boring albums) Amon hasn't caught my attention in a very long time.

It seems that Amon Amarth are back to making rawer and faster songs. I haven't heard anything like this since "deceiver of the gods". I like it
They will never again make something as the first 3 albuns...
@@mindtraveller100 Victorious March is Legend.

Praise be to Odin!!! I raise my mug to the all father and offer him one!
Took my 6 year old to the concert in Toronto a cpl weeks ago. He loves Amon. Been singing along since he was 3.
Your an awesome dad man
This is the Amon Amarth I have been missing for quite some time now. Raw!!
I’ve been a fan for a long time now. They’re my favorite band. Their music never gets old.
Great Heathan Army is my favorite

God I love amon amarth since my dad played it whilst driving me to kindergarten
Seems extreme for childrens' ears lol. Did you grow up to be a raging Berserker cage fighter?? Haha
And I listen with my boy now while dinner 🤘
My dad used to play this while hitting the beach after rowing across the sea. It was an 8-track back then I think.
We’ve been playing for my soon to be born son while he’s in the womb - they’re never too young for death metal 🤘🏻

Amon Amarth is 👑 🗡🛡 🤘
Its always a glorious day when an Amon Amarth video is released.
This is the first Music Video I think I have seen that portrays blacksmithing correctly. Awesome Video and an awesome song
Thank you. We put a lot of effort into making sure this work was 100% accurate and proper Viking

One of the strongest tracks on the album, and good to see them return to form with the video instead of the nonsense from the last couple of songs.
