When he said: There ara no vital points on the outside of the body. They are located on the inside of the body" reminds me the center line principle of Win Chung. The blocking with the palm, trapping tha arm and closing distance also reminds me Win Chung. The more I know about Karate Katas the more convinced I am the Kung Fu roots in Karate.
One must disagree with his assertion that no vitals exist on the sides of the human body so he claims it's useless to flank the adversary using tai sabaki. When one flanks to the outside, staying close, maintaining contact, one may attack the temple, tempro-mandibular joint, ear, mastoid, jawline, carotid sinus, nape of the neck, kidneys, oblique kick the side of knee and utilize grappling/wrestling takedowns (by taking their back, as in tegaruma). Mike Tyson was a master of flanking his opponents in the ring using taisabaki footwork to counter-attack them from the outside. . . he defeated many larger men this way. Becoming heavy weight champion of the world. In closing, if the attacker, unknown to you, is striking with a small knife or ice pick in their punching hand the last place you should be is remaining squared up inside their centerline. You want to always flank to their outside, outside their power line, cause there's no acceptable exchanges is life or death (unlike in sporting bouts) and hands move to quickly to see the puncturing weapon to know if attacker is armed or unarmed. Especially in darkness at night or in low visibility. This is why Taisabaki so important to life or death combat defense against bigger or stronger attacker. If he were an experienced full contact fighter, as opposed to only being experienced friendly sparring master of his art, he'd know these things.
All martial arts have now morphed into MMA and UFC displaying real fighting in tournaments. Traditional martial arts, however, need to be practised as an art, like tai chi or Sumo wrestling and not for the purpose of real fighting or self defence.
karate and traditional martial arts in general is being degenerated in sport fights and its really sad... also, MMA is is not made for self defense, its also a sport traditional martial arts like karate and others are made for self defense and have deep Theorical knowlodge of body mechanics of how to move and defend yourself ( Theories like "Tenshin, UKE, Meotode, zanshin, mushin and others), and also practices a lot of psychological strength as well (for life or death situations ) those all theorical concepts is the key of TMA by understanding it you can use it in practice... but if you only emphatizes sparring sections... you will not be patient to understand the real meaning of TMA and just will go back to MMA and boxing...

the only difference is Karate works, Wing Chun doesn't
Why do you need to be convinced of the facts? What else would karate have come from if not from kung fu?
I love his demonstration. It's powerful and clear. Arigato gosaimaz sensei

Domo Arigatou gozaimasu Sensei b'Uchina abunaio! Bom caratí bom caratê sur tout la vie!
Karate is true ultimate art.
Much more difficult to learn, than Kung fu .
I think.
Mohsin Naseer karate is literally taken from Kung fu
only if you stop learning
Karate is an imitation of kung fu with many things lost and some improved
Спасибо за интересное видео🙏👍

This shorin-ryu part is clearly the most bullshido of these

I disagree entirely. Traditional Karate understood and practiced correctly is SUPER effective on the street.
You really do not understand. Please try.
