I let my hair grow for 3 years too and it was part of a promise. At the end of 3 years, in Feb/22, I had it cut and I donated all the hair to a cancer institute so they could make some wigs for children. I felt so good doing it that and I have decided to grow it again. At the moment it has been 3 months without having it cut. Just remember: whatever is your aim, just go for it!!!

Watching these videos gives me inspiration! I’m on month 6 and it’s getting pretty long. I have coarse/wavy and thick hair that I treat with coconut oil, leave in conditioner (sulphate and paraben free), as well as coconut infused shampoo and conditioner. I only wash my hair 2 times per (every 3-4 days or so, in order to minimize dry hair). I apply the leave in conditioner and coconut oil everyday. I also dry my hair with a professional grade hair drier on cold setting. I don’t towel dry to avoid breaking my hair. I don’t air dry to avoid frizz. I don’t blow dry my hair on hot to avoid heat damage. I’m just scared that my hair won’t be smooth, silky, healthy, and have some flow and movement when it gets long. I’m scared that it’s going to be a dry, frizzy, unhealthy and unpleasant mess that has no life, health, shine, smoothness, movement, and flow. I don’t know what to expect and I’m anxious about it.

The fear is in your mind. The right employer will hire you for your skills, not your looks or personal preferences, provided that we are all clean of course when we go to a job interview. If a prospective employer ''rejects'' you for any personal reasons but not your own skills in the job you are after ,this is not a good employer for you and you shouldn't be working there in the first place. Sometimes, a ''rejection'' is protecting us from what is not good for us and we should thank life for being so nice to us by showing us the way.
