I've gotten some health issues recently where anytime I eat anything sweet I end up with severe weakness, anxiety, full blown numbness, and vision impairment. I used to be addicted to sweets (as most people), but my symptoms have made me wake up and realize I have been slowly killing myself. It's so crazy looking around me seeing my family feeding their children sodas and candies galore. No wonder we grow up with so many health issues!

I have totally eliminated sugar from my diet in every form and have come to realize that sugar is completely unnecessary and that the human body can function without it.
I follow a ketogenic lifestyle and my body runs on ketones rather than glucose.
I have awesome energy, I'm never hungry or crave food, I'm always alert and my cognitive abilities are amazing. Furthermore, my weight is stable and I have no joint pain whatsoever. I'm 59 years old but look like I'm in my early forties and have the energy and stamina of a guy in his twenties.

I have followed a 100% vegan, mostly whole food plant based diet for years now. I am in my 60's and am trim and fit. I do chin ups, weight training, hikes, and love to play Frisbee. I get glowing reports from my doctor, have never needed prescription meds on an ongoing basis. I eat lots of fruit, but no fruit juices. I do drink fruit smoothies, but avoid added sugar. I gained energy when I switched diets, and feel years younger. Sugar is bad for you. So is meat, dairy and eggs. The longest living populations eat little or no meat. Google "Blue Zones" and check out the Seventh Day Adventists who are taught to be vegetarian or vegan.

I saw sugar, in a video, being processed from cane. In places, like India, cane juice is sold on the street, but it's natural and all the nutrients are still in it. Our sugar is stripped of everything nutritious and left as a mere shadow of its former self, for our consumption. The molecular change, in its chemistry, is obviously foreign to the plant and any other sugar source anywhere! That would constitute an alien product to agriculture and us. Maybe sugar is even toxic, now that I think of it, but because it's familiar and common, like my granny and my religion, I never questioned it. I had a computer, in 2007. I performed a search on sacred names and church sponsored traditions, for the first time, since I never questioned such familiar, warm and fuzzy ceremonies and names before. The result, after seven years, was the fact that I was confronted with the evidence that my religion is satanic and the preachers, Pope, Cardinals, nuns and priests are satanists, witches and demons. The sacred names are those of Greek demon Gods, like Isis and Zeus and the plan to deceive us was intentional. We were taught to pray to demons, celebrate occult ceremonies and wear satanic symbols. The fact that our food, water and air, are being poisoned, by the government institutions and their friends at Monsanto, proves everything we were told is a lye, because the politicians and pastors know about it, but keep the subject quiet. They don't broadcast that the 15 vaccines, given to newborns, contain mercury to damage their brains, even though they're well aware of it and the medical community only uses radiation and chemotherapy, because they know they don't work; they cause cancer, but if they want to keep their jobs, we must die.

Pants I couldn't fit into 6 weeks ago I can now fit into them easily. If you start the Keto diet you will find you will start cooking real food and stay away from the microwave stuff. Look at the label. All the microwave food has carbs in it. And yes, you do have the time to cook. You will make it a priority.

8:20 - Wrong. Cells in our bodies DO NOT need glucose to survive. To say that cells need glucose, and to say that glucose also feeds tumors makes no sense. Glucose is either good or bad for you. It can't be both. Rather, ketones are what your body produces for energy through a proper low carb and high fat diet.
9:05 - "Evolved the ability?" This was never the case! Again, ketones have always been the body's natural fuel for cells. Glucose, at the levels most people consume it, was never part of a natural diet.

    • @signalfire6
      @signalfire6 9 лет назад +2

+crobc1 Finally someone in the comments who knows what they're talking about! Ketones are a natural food for the body; otherwise our ancestors would have starved quickly between meals, bad weather or hunts. We don't need glucose, we can survive on a high fat/ketotic diet just fine, if not better than fine because it's slightly euphoric and a much steadier energy supply. It's the reason we're able to store fat (which we need to convert into at least slight ketosis to metabolize); even the 'med schooled' up above doesn't get it; until 150 years ago, the yearly processed sugar intake of the average person was only in the ounces; now it's in the hundreds of pounds. Our bodies were not designed to metabolize all that, and worse yet, it's in lieu of regular fruits (in season) and root vegetables (in season) which had many other nutrients in them. Sugar is poison, and it hits the brain just like cocaine does, creating a feedback loop to eat more. Add in the insulin surge and you have a metabolic nightmare. And we've known for 100 years that cancer cells can't metabolize ketones, only glucose. There's a strong hint in there that if you lower your blood glucose and raise your blood ketone levels, you'll starve the cancer cells out. Maybe 'chemo' (AKA poison) works by making the patient so sick they can't eat and THAT'S what sometimes reverses the cancer; you'll note if you're diagnosed with cancer, NOBODY ever asks you about your diet. In fact, they encourage poor you to 'eat anything you can' which usually means sugary junk. Cancer is often diagnosed by sudden rapid weight loss (the cancer cells are voracious in their multiplication). Why are all the 'miraculous' spontaneous remissions not investigated as to what those people did differently? Like asked about their diets? Medical science (lol) has a lot to answer for.

I thought this was well done and informative!
Best diet or regular consumption of food; Protein, veggies and friut! Limit sugar to about 25-30 grams and carb's to 100 or so per day until you reach desired weight. 80+ percent of health is nutrition! Exercise regularly and adequate sleep-top three! Stress highly degrades the body also! Get rid of it!
I am a trainer with many years of experience.

Walmart puts so many handicap parking spots up close to make it easier for the sugar addicts to get more sugar while riding their motorized carts around the store.

No. They aren't the ones who consumed the sugar. We are. It's not against the law to make or consume sugar. No legal basis.

The problem I have with sugar is that, it’s level in my body gets very low that I have to literally eat it to maintain balance. Since I began to eat garlic and turmeric, black pepper and apple cider tea; I have had the problem of low sugar level ( 3.5 to 4.5) wherein I had to eat sugar to up its level in my body.

I have been using sugar all my life, i was fat 5 10', 195lb and when i switched to whole plant based diet with no animal products i l went from 195 to 163 in less than 6 months, my A1C is WNL and i feel better than i have ever felt. Bottom line reduce added sugar in your food or drink but eliminate animal products and u will see the difference

Tommy Sier : yes but back then (pre 1995) there were no GMO foods and it was real organic sugar NOT high fructose corn syrup - which is extremely addictive and toxic as it is produced in a lab and uses mercury in the process- which cannot be completely removed. Also, I’m sure he ate additional foods that were healthy and sustained his good bacteria (microbiome). My grandpa smoked and drank and ate a lot of different foods and lived to 96- he also retired at age 55 with a pension- different time - the food was clean - trust me as a genetic engineer I know- we went to the bottom of the food chain and poisoned it!! God forgive us!

Yes, it is. I stopped eating sugar about 3 years ago and I can't recommend it to enough people. Many of my friends are addicted to sugar, but you can't make them quit.. only show it's possible and the effects it has.

Good observation. They also say "Is associated with" and rarely say "caused by". The evidence in science is always refutable but sometimes accumulates to the point of being just super convincing. Kind of like electricity. We used it long before we discovered what electrons really were. It's still a theory.

scott webber - I’ve gone the no sugar route 3 times in my life, once for 12 years. Each time went back to a standard diet, my health would slowly deteriorate, so I’ve finally accepted that I simply can’t do that. I’ve found that the only way to succeed (for me, at least) is to cut it out of the diet 100%, including hidden added sugars in bread, condiments, everything - no cheating. Yes, honey and all the rest, too! Every time I decided to cheat with a little sweet treat, the sugar cravings would immediately come back with a vengeance! Luckily, it’s much easier to find foods with no added sugars today, but it’s best to make most everything from scratch.
Many people don’t “handle” sugar nearly as well as they think. Just a thought . . . 😊

I believe sugar is bad for you. I have heard this many times in the past. From many studies. The fitness expert Jack La lane said it was poison many years ogo.But some people will not cut back on it just because they like it. And also it takes will power to resist it. You have to be tough and alot of people just don't have what it takes. But this is one thing that unlike smoking which also hurts other people from the second hand smoke. Sugar only hurts the health of the person eating it.
