- As he is just about to kick off his Mythology Tour, performing alongside his niece Sammy and son Steve, Barry Gibb held a media conference in Sydney today to chat about the show, his brothers and coming home to Australia
To hear a son praise his father like that tells you alot about the man.I have never heard any of his peers say anything negative about him ,always what a nice and humble man,a far cry from most artists today.,and he was actually extraordinarily talented.
Barry's father seems to have set an excellent example for him and his family. This is a humble family that was always supportive of one another
and functioned as one.
Mom was right in there also doing all she could to make this family what it became.

@@marlenmuller He has no choice. He just has to endure it. And I am sure he has his moments when he breaks down and cries, in private. Probably more often than anyone knows. The hardest thing when you are the last sibling is not to have anyone you can say to “hey, remember when….(fill in the blank)? He and his brothers took quite a ride together.

It's very difficult to see Barry being the only brother left standing and even more difficult for Barbara to see three of her boys go. I do admire their courage in spite of this to move on and that at least, the Bee Gees children are there to continue their legacy. Thank you Barry for the music you have given us through the years. :)

Time involves memories...
Throughout this Time one grows older...the "Key" is the hits...I'm 52
and can remember from fanny be tender-earlier in my life to stayin alive in the 70's with my first girlfriend to getting married with for whom the bell tolls...yeah...
They kept popping up out hits throughout Time...and i can even remember around 12yrs old learning to skate for the first time to the sound of tragity bad spelling sorry but their music has become a place holder for my personal history of memories...thank you bee gees for keys to help me remember.. Just sayin

It is really tearing the heart out of me as a Bee Gee's fan but I heard a version of 'How deep is your Love' today where the Official Bee Gee's site had pitch corrected Barry from the 1989 concert. They could not pitch correct the harmonies of Robin and Maurice because they were too close. However they did not really relate to Barry anymore. We are being robbed of the true beauty of their true 3 part harmony. Theft is theft. I lost my vinyl years ago now new recordings will all be 'corrected'.

Hey Barry, my mother, who is a devoted fan -and solely- of the Gibb's (as I am, and my grandfather, although he's not as exclusive as us); when I shown this conference to her and told her that you were singing with your daughter, she said "Aww, he's looking for people to sing with! Tell him I will! And I have 4 children (3 boys and a girl) and that we should get all together sometime to sing. Signed Celia María Wybert. I see you soon".

Indiancrab I believe she passed in 2016 at the age of 95. She had so much heartbreak losing her 3 sons and her husband 3 years after Andy. They say he never got over losing Andy. So very sad 😔
