find a bunch of baseball to football sized rocks, chuncks of 2x4's, dowels etc, keep them in a tote or just in a pile in the yard, re configure when you have beat the current corse
@ i have built many "indoor" crawler tracks (i have scx24) and they are aloota fun but take up alotta room. i bet you could build similar but make them exterior rated and leave them outside, if you have space or a tree to lean them up against? treated fence pickets are cheap and durable for the base, or a pallet or three, chicken wire mounded up for mountains and such, strips of cloth and exterior house paint like paper mache, sprinkle the wet paint with sawdust, sand, etc, glue on sticks, rocks, dowels etc, paint and sprinkle some more, lean it on a tree, cover it up with a tarp? when you get bored with that layout, add, cut, modify, all cheap materials and can be modded easy
@@simonescalici5302 I did say in the video I live in an rv sooo all of your suggestions are great, but they will not work for me. I'm a carpenter by trade, so building something is not my issue. As I stated in the video, I need something small, lightweight, and ideally something I can put together and take apart for storage in the rv I live and travel in. Again, thanks for the suggestions and watching my video.
@@RedsRCVlog oh got it, like a mobile rv, ha! all the shows of the "tiny house " folks got my default to a parked rv. dm me if you like, i can send you pics of many i have built, a couple might be what you are looking for. one especially, its kinda like a lego boardwalk rickety bridge, its fun
@@simonescalici5302 Ya man no worries lol. We travel around a bunch so we are always on the move. Trying to visit the whole country eventually. Anyways thanks a bunch for the suggestions and help trying to brainstorm for a build, I really do appreciate it! Thank you.
Out of the box this stupid thing out performed three other minis with lots of mods. I have done all of the free mods and more. You can also raise the skid plate to be even with the frame rails. Just a hair more clearance. Not sure if possible when reversing the motor. Maybe? A better set of tires is all that's really needed. I went with a set of Injora T1011's. They are phenomenal. Had to trim the body but, worth it. This winter's project is to make it brushless with high clearance suspension and steering links and a torq servo from direct rc. Just got the last piece. Should be unstoppable. Lol. You asked about indoor course ideas. Check out Texoma RC's Rockblox video. My son and I just picked up the material to make 4 sets of these. We're thinking a little clear coat or lacquer between the velcro and dusting it with fine sand for grip. Should give the grandkids hours of fun.
Great comment, and it sounds like you are gonna build an awesome machine! I do think some tires are definitely next on the list. I'll check out the ones you mentioned and thank you for watching and commenting with all the great info.

Great build! I love my Gen8 n Ascent, u can do so much with no money spent!😊
Ya man, I'm already loving this rig! 💯
Spray foam and some rocks and wood
Rubber bands around the shocks work for me. 👍
That's a good tip! New shocks will be on the way eventually 😁
I have seen people take a few shotgun/rifle cases and build courses inside those
I've kinda thought about something like that. It's tough finding a way that will work in an rv 😅

Since u moved the front shocks location Tuck the esc back as far as you can
I put the esc as far up on the front as possible. We want the weight in the front not the back
