Jim Howard, Fashion Illustrator

A look at the life and work of Denver's own Jim Howard, whose fashion illustration career spanned four decades. More than 100 of Howard’s illustrations - along with newspaper clippings and portraits he created will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the Denver Art Museum. “Drawn to Glamour: Fashion Illustrations by Jim Howard,” runs from March 25 through July 22, 2018 and documents not only one Howard’s work, but also the evolution of drawing as a medium and the importance of it to American retailing in the second half of the 20th century.

Absolutely brilliant to see a master at work, the idea of the illustrators all having their own models to work with for the illustrations is so exciting and should be how its always done
