    Really nice setup, nice and stable too. Safer than the smaller one for sure. That steak looked pretty good too 😊

      Yes very very stable I've already knocked over my little cook set when I have a little bit larger of a pot on it more than just my coffee cup but I always give it the 5-minute rule LOL

    I agree it would be great for truck camping. But a little to much for backpacking. Awesome review

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah truck camping car camping tent camping and short backpacking because combined it's under 3.5 lb it's just a matter of space and it might be a convenient item decision at that point LOL

    Nice demo
    The stove and grill make a nice sturdy combo. It also seems to cook evenly without the hot spot
    Had to look up what Hang Con is..well..you’re going to be in your happy place .
    Looking forward to seeing your video and the trip to Florida
    Take care 🇨🇦❤️🌴

      Hey Sue I was so impressed with how even the cooking was because usually with a cook set you get a hotspot but based on the thickness of that aluminum plus non-stick it was impressive in the heat was all the way out to the edges looking forward to using it more and more on different situations and thank you so much for looking up the event I'm headed to coming up soon I'll be making hopefully a video on the way down plus once it starts I know the event planner wants to do a podcast so hopefully I'll get information from that to be able to post take care God bless and thank you for your prayers and support

      Yes and it's nice that it comes in that sturdy pack for travel or to pack away with the preheat tubes temps that are below freezing it will work much better on Windy days though you still got to be cautious and maybe put up a wind baffle it was windy that day but it still did good much more wind definitely a wind baffle

    that fire maple stuff iv watched few vids about seems decent enough quality im thinking of buying there jet boil copy i normally just use Trangia burner in uk military crusader system light and will never go wrong and added bounus will run on hexamine blocks too witch i always keep pack of in my pack just as backup and in wet hexamine blocks make great Firestarter

      I have been extremely impressed with fire maple with the quality of their products and definitely good price points certainly take a look at the description to check out the code for a discount if you do decide on getting something from them hopefully they will have what you're looking for I've got quite a few of their products over the last year and a half and there is not a item that I do not like. The UK military Crusader system sounds interesting

    • @ianwilde1800
      @ianwilde1800 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@randomadventures2.0 the crusader system you can buy online for 50 uk about $60 consists of water bottle cup the base that will work with hexamine blocks fire gel or fits Trangia a cooking pot all in nice camo poutch i use the mk 1 pot because its stainless steel where as k 2 one is alloy its rely nice light system and its used buy uk military so its tough and the Trangia burner in my opinion is one the best iv tried copy's in titanium etc they use more fuel take longer to heat up

  • @jasonrobelia8829
    @jasonrobelia8829 8 месяцев назад +1

    My only complaint is with the grill pan. You can cook a steak on a flat surface but frying eggs, pankakes and such on a grill pan such as this isn't so feasible. I personally would rather have it with out the ridges.

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  8 месяцев назад

      Yes I agree with you you cannot do eggs or other things like pancakes that you can do on a flat griddle. Without the ridges I think it would not be as sturdy and possibly warp during the cooking process.

    • @jasonrobelia8829
      @jasonrobelia8829 8 месяцев назад

      It's not a deal breaker for me and I'm most likely gonna pick one up with out the pan. My friends and I do a lot of kayak camp trips and fish while floating the river.this should nest nicely in the cast iron pan I take with.

    BRS is nice but it doesn’t cook as evenly it’s better for boiling water mostly this Fire maple stove looks like a more even cook what you think 🤔???

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  11 месяцев назад

      Yes the BRS works great in the through hiker or just heating water for coffee or doing a few nor meals but as far as putting anything bigger on it even say like a 5 inch pot the heat is so concentrated right in the center you got to make sure you stir stir stir or it will be burn burn burn or any pot that is just bigger than a titanium cup speaking from someone with experience LOL on the burn side of it
