All those home made rubber bushings and other bits - wow! Truly the next level of car restoration of a really nice French car. A Brit here who appreciates French cars for their superb engineering and looks!
I am... blown away! Either you are crazy, or a genius. I think it's both, a crazy genius! Sincere congratulations, what respect for authenticity, all my congratulations. It is fortunate that this car found you on its way, you saved it!
Very glad you restored this beauty. My dad bought one new in 1956. It was years ahead of its time. Its strong point was the independent suspension. When most cars of the time had a live rear axle. Our Renault could out corner almost anything with loud protests from the tyres. The only weak spots that I can remember is the gearbox. It would jump out of first, I believe a design flaw where the teeth of the first gear were angled in the wrong direction and at the coast it rusted. Generally a really good car and we had many years of pleasure from it. I still have a b/w photo of ours,
Elles avaient aussi des problèmes de chauffe moteur .Certaines versions étaient équipées de moteurs hydrauliques aux roues arrières ( pas fiables). ces véhicules ne sont pas recherchés en France . Très gros travail de reconstruction , respects.
38 years ago i found one of these in a wrecking yard in central west ,new south wales . No rust but very sun burnt . It took a bit of searching to figure what it was even though i had owned a dauphine in the past . 😊

A very good job and a beautiful Renault. Big thumbs up from Germany.
Excelente trabajo. Felicitaciones
Excellent job. Looks like a cross between a Dauphine and a Vauxhall E model Velox
Magnificent job 👏

Had one in early 70’s good points; overdrive and handling, bad pints reverse gear dog/selector that kept shearing and lack of interior cooling.
Yes that car is cool Peace out
