Ever since WG started throwing around lootboxes every single month, I stopped spending money on this game. Back in the day lootboxes felt like they had some value since they were not common, but nowadays... they're just crappy crates to me. See you never, WG!
I stopped playing WoT exactly of this, i used to spend to much money for lootboxes and everytime they make another event to get money from players, but i still enjoy watching Skull playing and showing us what we could get from these boxess ;D

Yeah, I used to shop around on christmas boxes as well, once a year was okay and you got your money's worth. But it got less and less as more and more other "shoppable" events entered the game.
Ones that give gold are still only once a year so those are the ones I buy, the original and best Xmas Loot boxes.
Christmas boxes give minimum gold value in those boxes, no minimum gold makes these not worth the money.
The price is extremely stupid. I know this game is not cheap if you want to pay but this...

Nothing special in the loot boxes that I saw I wont be wasting my money!
Bought 25 boxes, no tanks, no experimental equipment, just some stickers and premium days. Totally waste of money. No gold in boxes - not worth buying them.

Loot boxes from Christmas 2023 - I still play most of them and they make credits.

I do pay for this game, but only during the Xmas event. Those loot boxes usually give the best tanks (for those who really like that), and also bring gold and credits. After that event I just don't want to pay for bling and crap. I have nothing against a company trying to make a profit, but these boxes are just not good.
Quite frankly I am not even interested in the commanders. If anything I would prefer the original actors that actually made Star Treck a success.
I didn’t even know that personal manual existed. 210 boxes didn’t get one
I got Nemesis, AAT60, GSOR 1010 and 56TP + all 3 crew members, a few personal manuals (didn't count those and I had lots before), 1x 500 experimental pieces and quite a few T1 pieces in 125boxes.
The 4 tanks I got brought me to having all tanks in these lootboxes so if I get more I'll get gold compensation, so I may test my luck a bit with another 50 boxes, but it's only a maybe... overall happy with the value, since I got many credit boosters etc.
I know these are not cheap, but I have a bit of money saved for games and since I don't play many games I decide to spend on WoT. Hate me or not, but I gotta have some vice.

I bought 35 boxes and got. The KA-RI and the AAT60. I'm ok with the outcome, but that was all I got except for boosters and a few components.
I bought 50 boxes and got two tanks the ambt and 56tp plus a training manual and a crew member

About the tinfoil hat btw - I'm getting more than a little pissed off that WG doesn't do more to prevent matchfixing in onslaught.. It's reheeeheeeeheeally pissing me off to see two S. Conqs (in a platoon) switch in the last second to two Grille, only to fire once (hitting nothing) and drive straight into the enemy to die - that's just not normal.

Skill doesn't mention that your chance to get a new tank from these boxes garunteed vheicle mechanic is 1/10. If you don't already have the 8 other existing tanks your chances are 1/10. You cannot Expect to get new tanks if you are a new player without an already expensive garage of premium vehicles

I bought 50 boxes for myself (as I always do, no more, no less), got both of the new premiums, M 41 90mm and GSOR 1010. Made me feel a lot better about my purchase, but mostly because Wargaming got screwed over by it.

Only christmas boxes are good in value but in nowadays even these are bad because christmas tanks are more and more like shits.
Dang, monetization is even worse, glad that I quit the game back in 2020. I do reinstall it from time to time only to get one shotted and uninstall again lel :D

Hi Skill! I personaly want from WG if once they put the components into boxes (a.k.a. purchasable) the put very minimal amount of it. They promised of there is no way to buy it.

Bought 120 boxes got 3 tanks( both new ones) + gold for another and 3 commanders and the skin. Tbh the credit boosters are good this time and components good as well. Its a rip off for pixels but still its a price of a night out in pub ,for game i play daily lol....
I wasted 4,5€ in boxes. The game punished me with the Nemesis IN THE FIRST BOX!!! 3 games to tcry (try and cry), and good 1.8m credits (I need them)

EDIT: the good thing for me is, im the winter gamer, so during summer like april to november i dont play WoT, so i wont encounter this problem. I just buy every year the 80 loot boxes or what ever you get from the 80 € pack :)

The fact you had to hit the 50 limit five times technically six to get a tank highlights the odds are drastically lower than they state! even at 50 to guarantee your doing at minimum 50% in your case you hit the 50 five times times before getting a tank and 49 that last time.................. so that 5% chance or 10% or whatever they are claiming is clearly a lie! I don't normally care but this is just pathetic clearly a money grab!

Drop rate is 2%, so chance of missing tank is 98%, and chance of missing tank 50 times in a row is 0.98^50 which is ~0.13 = 13% chance of not getting tank in 50 boxes. getting to box 50 5/6 times probability is 0.5%, skipped the math, with 2% drop rate you have to be super unlucky but its not impossible

I bought 100 boxes. I got the T-8 56TP, the Ka-Ri and 2 crewmembers. Thats not worth the money. I'm done with buying WG Boxes. Thats a lot of money to get 2 premium T-8's and 2 crewmembers.

The addiction only works if you live the tension to the maximum for what you'll get for each and every box. That's why you don't get the option to open multiple illegal gambling boxes. Frankly, I hope the entirety of the EU does the same as Belgium, bans this illegal monetization scheme and fines wh0regaming a dragon's mountain worth of actual, real life money. This is predatory and it should never be allowed to exist in the first place.

Avoiding these boxes like I'd avoid a nagging and problematic woman...at maximum warp speed.
For me loot boxes this often started to have quite the opposite effect - I lost any interest in them, its just another thursday in World of Tanks. On the other side there are no new maps to play on and the real fun for me - Frontlines - are very rare and have tendency to be on the weeks which I am very busy. So, I nearly stopped caring and I nearly stopped playing.
In order to make me play the game more they would need to start caring more about their game and us, players. I can have WAY more fun for 40 euros, Wargaming is just not competetive and they offer shit now. Since im not into shit, i stopped playing. Simple as that.
In 50 boxes opened, I got absolute the lowest shit possible. Not a single commander, not a single training manual, no 2D/3D camos, only about a week of prem days, and maybe 400 exp components... and the shitty 56TP. What a WG POS rip off!!!
Skill thanks for the video, but I feel that Wargaming has no shame and lost interest in players. Recent changes to maps to shorten games and favor heavy tanks by reducing foliage and blocking TD positions is disgusting. They just want heavy tanks slogging it out, no skill or alternative play types, favoring heavy armoured vehicles and professional unicom players. Its becoming far less 'realistic' play and more simple video game like. The number of new premium tanks has become ridiculous. The increasing sale of loot boxes is nothing more than sucking up funds from players wallets, especially those who are cashed up professionals. I have loved playing world of tanks for the past 6 years, but now I am seriously looking for an alternative game that isn't so money focused.
I do not care for your saying it being lazy when some of us have actual jobs and can't spend hours upon hours on this ...
"Congratulations!" at the top of the screen is making me sad. Someone paid and the game has to give something positive, even though it's just encouraging gambling.
This whole loot box system was and is designed to prey on weak minded gambling addicts, they literally offer NOTHING for your money or time spent opening them. Xmas boxes to me are fine, you get a good amount of really useful stuff like Gold and credits, personal reserves and such. The tanks are just frosting as usually crap that collects dust.
I feel WG should put in a token system to the boxes which you then use to select the tank you wish to receive and if you already have all the tanks offered in the pack you get gold instead of the token. I always end up getting the tank I'll never play instead of the one I really wanted, every time, never fails.
Since this is gambling, I don't appreciate the thumbnail and title normalizing that buying hundreds of lootboxes is normal.
