Can we just appreciate this guy being in kingdom hearts 1 to all the up to kingdom hearts 3 because this guy really brings in the memories, also great remix and miss the kh1 voice actor for ansem
As much as I enjoyed the versions of songs past BBS, the newer songs feel duller and less bombastic than the OG's. Yours manages to take the quality of a newer kingdom hearts game, but still have the same soul as the OG music.
Thanks! I think a big part of that is that I use source MIDIs ripped straight from the game itself. So, in a way, this IS the OG Forze, just with upgraded instruments & a bit of a tweak to instrument balance.

Really solid remake. It's distinct enough from both the original and the HD versions to be able to stand on its own, and for me personally, that's more than enough to deserve two thumbs up.
Midgar, you really outdone yourself. As soon as i started listening to this, i was suddenly transported as myself when i was a kid and i was finishing this game on ps2, the feel that gives, the nostalgia, the EVERYTHING. You deserve all the love of your community. I will try myself and spread some of your work to my friends (whom also are music freaks like me) and try to get you many views as possible. I usually don't like orchestrated versions of music because it's typically very easy to notice that every instrument has been sampled and it's not actually being played all at once the same way it would be in a real orchestra, a lot of people end up creating very amateurish sounding stuff and don't get me wrong I know how hard it is but that's why people typically avoid them. THIS however is different, this sounds like a real orchestra played it although that isn't the case, this one's a really good mix if you can keep this up I think the orchestral remakes will start seeing a lot more traction but it's no big deal if it doesn't work out, it's genuinely so hard to get it to sound right.

That's exactly what I shoot for with these. 😊 And I definitely understand what you mean, I've heard a lot of mixes like that myself, where it's just obvious that it uses sample libraries and is very raw, not mixed down. When it comes to these mixes, I always try to make sure that the mix is layered, akin to a real orchestra, and has volume and performance dynamics, as well as realistic reverb. I've had experience in the past with mixing/mastering and audio engineering, so for these I went back and listened to the 1.5 HD version of the track, identified where I felt the track could use some more beef, and did my best to match the quality of the production. As much as I adore my soundfont remixes, these are my pride and joy, and the clearest expression of what I'm shooting for in the future, as I'd ultimately like to end up composing for some indie RPGs. This channel has been like my stealth way to build up experience and a portfolio. 😂
I was just going through a playlist of the KH OST and thought to myself this track should totally have an epic orchestral remix/remake. And wouldn't you know it, this one was just posted about a week ago, impeccable timing!
As always another brilliant remake of one of my favorite battle themes. Although I do have a question, would you ever try to refont data Rikus Forze Del male remix if you haven't already? Just a thought.
