Paella is one the many amazing dishes. My granny used to make for us. When she passed, my aunts tried to recreate it but it's never the same, how I wish I could taste it again😌 This made me miss my granny ❤️

I love how you suggested another rice alternative, instead of bomba or round rice. I have a few questions chef… 1) when do we blast the heat to make Socorat (sp?) (the crunchy bottom). Within the last minute in the second 10 minutes or after while still foiled? 2) is it Italian olive oil or Spanish? 3) can I use fresh squeezed lemon juice in place of Cuban cooking wine or any wine? We prefer no alcohol (we will enjoy alcohol in the sangria 🤗🤗) Thanks !

It doesn't matter what oil you prefer, Italian or Spanish, I am personally using Spanish on this recipe. 3. For the cooking wine 4. For the rice that we are using in this recipe was medium grain rice type you can use light lime juice or using stock instead.

I'm willing to admit that this may taste good. But what it's not, not even in a parallel universe, is paella. Sausage? Peas? Parsley? And why add turmeric (yes, that's the spelling)? What do you think the saffron is for if not the flavour and colour? Paella is rice with other stuff Not stuff with a tiny bit of rice It's telling that you didn't plate it up to show the socarrat... Google it.
