Carly Barton claims that cannabis is the only thing that relieves her chronic pain, so she’s growing her own and has told the police. After suffering a stroke at the age of 24, Carly developed the neurological condition fibromyalgia, meaning she lives in constant pain. Her suffering became so bad, that at one point she was taking morphine every two hours, with little effect. Carly’s life changed forever the moment she tried cannabis, but despite changes in the law, it’s still difficult to get an NHS prescription. Carly joins us today as she hopes to make it easier for sufferers like herself to get access to medical cannabis.

How 4yrs on are we still in pretty much same situation 🤔 why can't you get on NHS only private 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Money, I bet they tax tf outa it
@@jacktaylor7690Pharmaceutical companies, have soooo many meds that they make £££ from!
Imagine when they legalise it they will milk everyone from it aswel..
They won’t put it on the nhs because 1 they are making too much money from it already and 2 when they legalise it recreationally they will want as many people as possible buying it with loads of tax
It has!!! She is the person who created CANCARD! A card I now have.
For this, you contact them, you send your medical records, they validate the whole thing and also give your name to the police, so they can use their discretion on whether to prosecute or not if they stop check you.
I was worried at first that they’d come smashing my door down but nope!!
2 friends of mine got stopped checked and had THC in their system.
The first friend didn’t have the card. He got taken to court, got a driving ban for a year , 6 points on his licence, a fine, and he also had to repeat the blood test at the end of the year to obtain his licence back. So he had to completely quit cannabis and got back on fentanol instead, so now he can’t even work 🤯🤯
The second friend? Same scenario, except that he had his Cancard. He still got a ban for a year, 3 points on his licence, and when he needed his licence back, all he needed to do was provide a doctor’s letter to say that his condition is permanent. As a result, he wasn’t asked to repeat the blood test before he got his licence back!!
Anyone on medical cannabis should get their Cancard!
Not sure why cannabis would be laced with heroin or fentanyl as this would up the cost. Also not sure drug dealers meet people in the middle of the night. Completely agree that cannabis has massive medical uses and it should either be available on the NHS or patients be allowed to grow it✌️
Never ever heard of anybody dying off bud. Even spice, people say the high was weird or unusually long/short etc
Nobody is putting fent in weed, instant murder charge
Killing your customers is bad business
people die from spice, its why we know that you can technically die from too much cannabis@@fizzjuty5798
@@fizzjuty5798there is accidental cross contamination, as quite a few places where underground weed is prepared, is also the place where many other drugs are prepared by the same hands. It's a quality control issue.
@@fizzjuty5798never heard off anyone dying from cannabis and heard and seen 1 person dying from spice
The bad drugs are the ones you do not pay tax on 😂
I'm grateful to be sat here now with my prescription. Has helped me massively
I use cannabis everyday and I love it. I have four autoimmune disorders and I use it every day, without it I would be in so much pain and stress. If you were to look at me you would think I was talking rubbish, that's the power of cannabis. I grew it a few times and it was the most beautiful looking plant I've ever seen. Smells good too. Hopefully one day our stupid government will work out how to put a tax on it so we can buy it from the local shops. Until then I will keep going down dark and dingy alleyways to collect it while praying I don't get a knife pulled out on me.
Why not get a private prescription. It's getting considerably cheaper. My last stuff worked out £154 oz. Also easier to get than u may think, delivery to ur door
Cannabis helps with the pain in ways that general pain relief cannot reach. If it would make any difference I would crawl on my knees to beg politicians to change the law.
im not sure what bud she is buying but medical is about £4 per gram so if she is spending 1400 a month on it she is on 12.5 ounces a month which is rather ridiculous for a medical patient (~10g) a day
Yeah its £4 a gram now, not back then, it was Hella expensive
When I usto work in the bars my ex partner suffered from epilepsy and she took it took, it was a 800 a month for 14g which it was alot cheaper to go to a dealer getting 14g for between 70 to 140 for 14g.
@@lukewilson1886 give another look at it now, it's gotten ALOT cheaper and affordable, £4 a gram, I'd go with lyphe clinic or mamedica
yea shes just a pure stoner on the sly thats why she got the cancard
The cheapest medical atm is £5. And its not good.
Need to spend £8+ for good stuff. My bill is around £600 a month. Would be more if I had top shelf, and more money spare
Apart from the high profile cannabis farm raids I get the feeling that the police don't really want the paperwork. Perhaps somebody prominent in the force should lobby parliament on the subject.
Big up cancard ❤
Yeh bruv got mine last month 😜
Is that the same women who started Cancard? 😮
@@JamesThomas-pv5en yes, and now started the first legal grow operation in the uk
can cards dont make cannabis possession legal at all, they are a scam
it's nothing but a scam, plenty of people getting arrested with a cancard and they are not helping them. it has no legal merit in the UK court of law. Home Office has stated that a prescription is the only thing that will keep you out of court. Most people that hold a cancard do not have access to medical cannabis
Smirking actor. Proof of all Claims Required.
just go private clinic its alot cheaper and safer im with mamedica for my anxitey and depression and helps so much
Another vote for Mamedica. Same conditions, Tilray Master Kush at £5/g has been fantastic.
Zombified definitely.
She clearly isn't she's just relaxed, is it better to be in constant full body agony?
What does your question mean lol It has no relevance to my comment. Do you feel dumb now? @@tweedx7772
