    You should see here in Berlin how all Indians guys stick to themselves and make littte india , this attitude is more with IT guys as they have limited English skills as well and its mostly enough to get work done, not to qualify as good communicators ( I think it’s typical with Engineering guys in India )All IT guys here are from small cities Tire 2 and 3 in India , most people I spoke to absolutely don’t take effort to learn German .take A1 as formality noting more ,
    So your point is right,
    Definitely some do learn German but 85% don’t use German language at all not even in Aldi or Döner Shops 🙄.
    This Absolutely personal observations living here in Berlin all this years.

    • @BharatinGermany
      @BharatinGermany  3 года назад +51

      That is 100% correct Sumit! I believe the same. This is why I am really against people who tell others not to learn German because everything is more or less 'survivable' in English. Integration goes down the drains and then the complains start.
      People who say that's why USA is a good option: take a look at the gun violence, horrible health insurance which can make you bankrupt, police brutality, bad public transportation system and the insane issue with student loan debts.
      Germany is by far the best country to study and find opportunities in afterwards. You also have the freedom to go anywhere in EU. The only thing you have to do is learn German to live your best life and that is doable in no more than 4 or 5 months: 2 hours during the weekdays and 6 hours during the weekends and you are at B2.

    Small feedback, I am an IT engineer who works in India, first thing if you are an IT guy then you cannot code in German or in any language other than English so why is it necessary to learn German if all my clients and work is in English. Secondly, Germany portrays itself as a very welcoming and diverse country, how is it diverse if we have to forcefully learn German to survive in a country. If all the people in Germany are taught English in their school time and they are good at it then I think so Germans should embrace other cultures and languages rather than enforcing their language on international students and people. Thirdly, “it is not stupid” if someone does not want to learn a new language because learning a new language is not easy from scratch and if Germans want that people should learn their language, then they need to become comfortable with the universal language of the world that is English. Lastly, If Bharat as a German citizen (not by birth although) encourages and loves the German language and culture should start making videos in German and do counseling of German students rather than Indians, all your videos are in English and Hindi, make them in German. Don’t force them to learn German in name of culture and other things. Lastly in India, you don’t need to learn Hindi or any other 121 languages (that’s why we don’t have a national language unlike Germany) to live in India because we respect other languages and if you know universal language (English) then we don’t judge you, unlike Germany where you need to have B1 level German to get a citizenship.

      If you do not wish to learn the native language of the country you wish to live and work in (be it any European country, Japan, Korea or China) then it will not be possible for you to mix with the people apart from the ones who only speak in English and integrate with the society. Integration with the society is very important since you would be living there and I think this is something you do not realize. A lot of Germans speak English well, but that is not their native language and would obviously talk more in German. It is their country after all and they are not under any obligation to speak only English just to deal with foreigners. You will not have neighbors who would check on you if you are too cocooned in your own sphere. That's where you alienate yourself from the society. Nobody likes to live as an island. The same is with Japan or Korea. You are confusing India with Germany. In India English is used because of the large number of languages that we have and it's not possible for people to know other languages and that is why English does the job. The same is not with Germany. They use English only till it is required. Not beyond that. Just because English is a global language doesn't mean people would speak it just for the sake of it! They have their own language. Check out a comment above mentioning exactly how majority of IT guys from India only stick with people from their own zone.
      Lastly, if you think you don't want to learn German while working in Germany, then simply don't go. That's it.

      Try to ask a question like this in the US why do i need to speak english. Simple immigrations is about respect. If you want people to respect you, You will learn the language. Or you want to be one of these people who runs to his german friends for every tiny paperwork. Find that pretty embarrassing as a grown up man. If you only wanted to speak english you could have also gone to an english speaking Country. The India comparison is stupid because India doesn't have a national language. Germany does and its German. Over 95% of the population speaks German. I am 100% sure that in your job interview you were also asked about your German and you must have said that you are still learning and improving in order to land the job. (which you are not planning to do apparently ) That was one of the reasons you got the job if you would have sat there and said why do i need german anyways all the clients speak in english and most Germans speak english. Definitely you could have forgotten about the job. IT IS STUPID to move to a country where there is another language and not learn it. NO question about whether its stupid or not. You knew where you were going it was your own choice as a grown up man. Learning a language is not a burden its a life long advantage. Lazy people will find an excuse for each and everything in their life. English is not officially a universal language. (There are just 40% english speaking countries thats why its called an universal language)

    Sir i want to come to Germany for study my masters, and I am not good in English, so is it compulsary to learn, fluent in English.
    Or German is only must in Germany.

      German should be enough, although many jobs with higher pay require english skills. But talking about working in a supermarket or something, you dont need english. But most people in germany, especially the younger ones, speak english very well.

    With due respect to everyone 🙏🙏🙏In india how we are parented is a big problem....n then we complain in this country this is not proper etc etc etc....I personally feel in India we should have better schooling... education... parenting n everything then we can say that this is a problem in other countries....for eg....most Indians have inflated ego ....male child is overpampered...work culture doesn't exist only buttering skills get you to top level... corruption n bribe I need not say 🤐🤐....in india we show neighbour love which is not genuine 80% of the time 😂😂😂....so let's accept n be happy...all is good...all is well 😊😊😊....it will only help us grow as individuals 😊😊😊

    I Heard Germans take vitamin D for not enough sunlight. Does that reduce depression or general antidepressants??

    • @chartophylacium5250
      @chartophylacium5250 2 года назад

      I'm German, have been living in German for my entire life, never took vitamin D and never had problems with winter depression. Instead I love the snow, the cooler weather and the cozy long evenings. But it depends on what you like. If you're coming from India and have a darker complexion than vitamin D could be an option as you might be used to a lot more sun and may have a hard time producing enough vitamin D by yourself. As far as science showed, the lighter complexion of us Europeans is an adaptation to get enough vitamin D.
