Mate, this is awesome, it's surreal, the amount of laps I've done in this car on this track on ACC and to see someone do it for real and notice the similarities in lines and driving styles for the characteristics of this car there's something special about that 🔥

Several things I’ve noticed in this: the visibility out of the McLaren is pretty good for such a low slung car! The Spa 24 pit length is brutal, the acceleration up the hill off the limiter is brutal, and the headlights really show how much dirt and gravel gets drug into the track. And that’s just a practice session!

This is incredible, this came up in my recommended videos and I'm so glad it did. Incredible to see inside a gt3 car especially at night. Brilliant content 👏
These videos help me so much on ACC and Forza. They help me with my cornering, drive lines and my braking points. A huge thank you for these epic videos!!!!
Hey James! Thanks so much for this! Question for you…. Many people have been debating about brake pedal in the real gt3 car vs brake pedal in the sim world. We would love it if you would do a video, even simply explaining, simply the differences and similarities between the two. For instance, what is the travel like in the real Mclaren vs say a csl load cell or a huskeinveld sprint pedal. How about the pressure needed to apply to get 100% force? Adjustability? We are super intrigued and its always talked about on reddit and within the community and youve got that first hand experience in BOTH realms. Yeah the “pro” elite drivers speak about it but they dont run the everyday sim equipment like we/you do and the curiosity is rampant!
Hello Matt, sorry to bother, I think you hoped for James’ feedback but there’s a video he´s in where they address that topic :) ruclips.net/video/XNot6nWEPAo/видео.html Hope this can help you, cheers👋
@@ohLunaah thats not what I want to know tho. I just want to know how far the mclaren pedal travels, and with what force needs to be applied to reach max brake force. Obviously G force will never be able to be replicated in a sim. G force isnt gonna change the specs of the brake pedal.
Interesting to see the throttle lifts at Stavelot (and Blanchimont, but only for traffic). I like how cockpit lights come on when crossing pit lane line.
And this is why when I hear someone say,” oh, racing drivers aren’t athletes, they just get paid to drive a car in circles” it just makes me want to punch them in the face. This shit looks brutal af with the g-forces, even more being dropped into a battle with other GT drivers who prob won’t give much room.
What a trip. I just raced this track like a dozen times earlier on GT7. Sheer coincidence I just happened to be watching this real life video. I was like " this looks really familiar." Haha
0:04 would’ve been the perfect moment to whine in a little child voice “Mom says it’s my turn in the car!” Just to watch your teammate’s reaction 😂 In all seriousness, great driving you did there. I can’t even imagine what it takes to be driving at the limit and still have the capability to take in all information from all the screens, radios, mirrors, etc etc.
I’m always amazed at just how difficult it appears to be to actually see out the mirrors at night ffs the sim attempts to reproduce glare but that just appears unusable
I will be honest I was never ready when I was told there’s a huge difference than warm and cold tires. I didn’t know it would be like driving in the rain. And compensating for everyone faster and worse tires is so hard. Racing truely is so hard trying not to crash 100,000s of dollars of cars
Wowww e bellissima. Adoro SPA e anche io su ACC uso spesso la MCLAREN. ma sicuro che nella realtà sia un altra storia. Complimenti per i video Fratello.
So awesome 🤩 Hi James, just a quick question: which is the most suitable kind/color of light to have installed in the cockpit and why? do you priorize a good visibility or protecting your eyes? Thanks a lot! Just followed you, loving your content. Regards from Argentina.
Perhaps you talked about it and i missed it, but can you tell if you felt like "ahh, i know this behaviour of the Mclaren" cause you regocnized some perks of the sim version? i mean sure, the G forces will make eveything feel different. But i am curious anyway,...I feel like i could land a A320 because i played that plane in flight sim in detail and fully simulated. Not a great landing i guess. But there is a chance nobody would die. Would you say an experienced and save driving sim racer would make it around the track without any real life experience?
100%, my ACC experience in the McLaren has helped massively. Any competent sim racer could drive one of these things no problem providing they are in half decent shape from a fitness point of view. The hard bit is being fast!
Are the rear proximity light displays a required regulation? Two sets ( dash and rear view screen) would be distracting to me. Do you get used to them?
Real life truly is the best GT3 simulation on the market.
How can it be simulation if it’s real life?
