That documentary was amazing. Totally different perspective on her. I always thought I “knew” Paris. Even being a super fan. But after watching This Is Paris I realized just how little I knew before the doc. I never took her for the wrap she got (stupid, ditzy, bratty and spoiled, rude and snotty, etc) because I always recognized the shyness in her and how big of a heart she’s got, as well as how intelligent she can be but I never understood just how intelligent and articulate she really is until that documentary and just how in touch she is with the world and what the world thinks/thought of her. She is an amazing woman and the world owes her a massive apology. Unfortunately though, that isn’t how the tabloids and media are and they only care about showcasing and taking advantage of the worst situations and portraying whatever sells with the public. And we (the public) have been just as guilty in helping to promote and continue this sort of nasty shaming and massive scale bullying. And it’s sad. Especially in the case with Paris because she’s been through some seriously shitty stuff that most people will never have to experience (thank goodness) and will never understand how much pain and scarring some of these events likely have had upon her. Yet she’s remained such a friendly, fun, funny, and overall happy bubbly person. She still loves the world and the industry regardless and didn’t let it defeat her so I have mad respect for her. I couldn’t imagine experiencing that type of global bullying, stalking, ridiculing, and level of disrespect and betrayal.
I’m happy she did this documentary and I’m happy I watched it. My outlook of her has changed a lot despite the fact feeling as though I already knew her well. Definitely recommend it to EVERYONE!

Um no. That is now. There was definitely a sudden feud between them that happened mid aughts. This video does a good job sorting the narrative from the rumors, blind news items, and statements made by both women at the time. Paris even wrote a song allegedly about Nicole called “Jealousy” on her album. The the facts and reports support this narrative, I would not be at all surprised if this actually is what happened.

Once in response to two guys politely asking for her to model their fashion line, once while poorly imitating a certain type of dancing in the club, saying “we are like two (word)” and once where she makes up and sings a creepy song that is mostly about how terrible a certain race of people are. I actually believe there were more incidents than that but it’s all I can remember concretely. It’s all very findable online and there is a jezabelle article neatly summing most of it up. I never had any hate for Paris and she got a lot of it too. She could have just coasted off her family money but she seems to work hard at being her own business woman.
Her documentaries were good and she spoke of "getting into character". I think she's matured nicely and she hasn't messed with her face and body like some people that many of us are completely sick of 😉(I'm sure she has just tiny procedures done). It's why she still looks sooo young! Much luv ❤
The Hilton grandpa that was wealthy & built the Hilton fortune did NOT approve of Paris being on simple life & her tape.. he wax so embarrassed & upset about it that he dis-inherited paris and her family members. They didn't inherit the Hilton fortune, if they got anything it wasn't anything close to what it was previously.

My mom was called to do nails for Paris & Nicole during the Simple Life. She used to be one of the top nail technicians in Arkansas.
As with most reality TV, the things they did in the show were real, but when the cameras weren't rolling both girls were still wined and dined. My mom said Paris had an attitude, but only towards Nicole. After watching this her attitude makes sense.
Except the Arkansas season was the first season. And the "viewing party" rumor (both Paris and Nicole say this didn't happen) wasn't til around the 3rd season

Its crazy watching her earlier interviews and seeing that her voice was so different from on The Simple Life. It was more like how it is now but on the simple life it was very high pitched and just awkward in general. Watching her documentary now, you can tell The Simple Life was a persona she put on. Her whole public life is mostly a persona, she's not what people seem to portray her as. She's not stupid. She's a thoughtful and intelligent woman with a significant amount of fear.
I've just discovered this channel and omg? the details, editing skills, effort that is put into their videos is so top notch!

I've always loved and defended Paris Hilton. People always gave her the short end of the stick because of her family status. They were never able to give her the recognition for her accomplishments because they were too busy talking about her family's wealth. No one in the industry received as much hate regarding their family background than Paris. All she ever did unlike the others was worked her ass off. She didn't just wanted to be another Hilton but Paris. And that she did... she made a name for herself and created multiple empires. To that reporter that was unprofessional and rude I would've spat on him before walking out of that interview. He wanted a reaction out of her and kept bullying her. He asked the same question 4 times with different wordings each time digging deeper to wound her. She was very professional and classy as she always been. Paris had no need to be jealous of anyone or think that her time had passed. It's obvious that she will never be forgotten because all the socialites & reality stars of today are just copying her. Paris is Queen of the Socialites. I wouldn't say she's famous for being famous because she worked for every bit of that fame. It wasn't just her background that gave her what she is today but her hardwork. Also, on the subject of Nicole. I believe that she was jealous of the attention on Paris. You can see it in the Simple Life first few episodes. Remember episode 2 when she was outside with the family they were stating with son and his friends. The moment Paris joined the party all eyes were on her and the boys lost interested in Nicole. You could see her entire body and face expressions changing. Jealousy is not something to take lightly and if she really had that viewing. Then Paris (anyone) had the every right to distance herself from that kind of person. Personally I wouldn't be able to sit and laugh with that person ever again. Yes, I would forget them but I would always keep them at an arm's length. That trust would NEVER be the same. I can't wait for the documentary I always knew Paris was playing a role. You would be blind not to realize. No dummy could pull off what she did. She knew exactly when to say and do things for a reaction.
Nicole definitely made the show but she owes Paris for the opportunity which ultimately kick-started her career.
I absolutely hated Nicole on The Simple Life. She was so rude and disrespectful. Paris actually felt bad about some of the stuff that they did - that NICOLE instigated - while Nicole didnt give a shit. I rewatched it recently to see if what I remembered was true but it made me dislike her more.
@G the viewing party too. What Nicole did was such a violation of trust - it's disgusting and just fkn evil. If you EVER had love for someone you would NEVER do them dirty like that. Paris didnt deserve that. Then on top of that while they weren't talking Nicole tries to have a reporter take a story that Paris is pregnant from a one night stand. If Paris hadnt walked in in the middle of the interview that story would have been everywhere and she wouldn't have been able to say it was a lie. Evil! But honestly sure it's mostly staged but there are always some genuine parts. You really notice how fkn bad of an influence Nicole is in season 4. Paris didnt swear in front of any of the kids, genuinely tried to work with the families properly. Nicole was rude and disrespectful and actually vandalized people's property. It was in season 5 when they were back together that Paris started doing stupid shit again (mischievous stuff) but ONLY with Nicole - just like in seasons 1/2/3.
If what Nicole did is true by showing the tape of Paris at a party that just shows the Katniss of women.

I’ve enjoyed learning more about Paris. It actually give me comfort to grow old alongside women like her - to know it took her longer than “normal” start to to find herself and figure life out and deal with her traumas makes me feel less intimidated or scared as I do the same. I’m beginning to understand why my parents said their 40’s were one of their fave decades. I’m only 39, but 40 is looming and I’m working to be in a state of mind to embrace it and make it the best years of my life so far. Well on my way. As I think Paris is too. Just because she has money, does not mean she gets a free pass for happiness. We all have work to do in order to be our best selves and live our best lives. Most of us have traumas to work through, mental issues to live with and treat, things to learn and ways to mature. Getting the right help and first acknowledging what is at the core of our issues are key. It’s never too late. I can’t wait to see how Paris continues to figure stuff out for herself. I have a feeling she is going to find the peace she is seeking.
