  • Hello to all of our ‪@vagabondlife2018‬ subscribers.
Today we take you to Kard Ba Paow (said Card-Bar-Pow) or the "Coconut Market" given its name due to the fact that the market is in and surrounded by a plantation of Coconut trees.
Kard = Market / Ba-Paow = local northern dialect word to call the coconut tree or the fruit itself.
The market is only open on Saturday and Sunday from 7am - 4 pm.
Picture this - small canals between rows of coconut trees, with seats and tables scattered all around. You can pick up food from various stalls and enjoy it beneath any coconut tree. It’s a serene experience - chilling out and eating with live music playing in the background.
A great way to spend your morning.

Hey Aimela, hope all is going well. Yes as you will know Gai (chicken) and Moo (pork) grilled over the charcoals on a stick are just the best 😋

Thanks Sharri, it was definitely a different type of market, not something you would see back in NZ.
