No way that Green Bay field goal is good.

It was total BS. They raised the uprights after the 65 season because of that game

That's my pops Don Shinnick #66 with the scoop and score! Love seeing these old games on RUclips! Appreciate the work you are doing! Fun showing them to his grandkids, including my 3 kids (now adults). Several who were very young when we lost dad in 2004.

Shula was 47-13 vs the rest of the league from 1963-67 but only 2-9 vs Lombardis Packers. From the upset loss in the 64 title game vs Cleveland to the no good FG that beat the Colts in OT in 65, to the final day of the season loss to the Rams in 1967 and the loss in SB3; it was inexplicable disappointment. How many great players in that era in Baltimore are not in the HOF because of those epic defeats? I heard Memorial Stadium in Baltimore on a fall Sunday was an epic experience. I would’ve loved to have seen Unitas, Jimmy Orr, John Mackey and the great Penn State legend Lenny Moore live in an actual game and having had experienced the atmosphere of the old stadium. I was born too late for that

The Browns were also a good team and they were at home it might not be as much of an upset as you might think

The only game the Colts wore the blue 🔵 jerseys during the regular season was in the final game at the Rams

How is that field goal at 5:17 good?! No wonder the narrator said “ruled good”

I'm old enough to have watched the game live and I couldn't believe it either. I got the view from the front on the live broadcast and it was just as bad looking from behind the kicker. The Colts got screwed on that one!

That kick by Chandler was no good. The Colts got jobbed.

When Chuck Thompson said that Colts fans were disappointed with how the 1965 season ended for Baltimore, it's too bad someone couldn't go back in time and tell him, "just wait until 1967, and then 1968".

If the Shula in Miami would have been coaching the colts, they would have won in 65,67,68.

Just totally inexplicable because Baltimore was right behind GB as the best team in football. If the tying FG hadn’t been ruled good, then the Colts go on and beat Cleveland for the 65 title. I think they would’ve been a tougher matchup for GB in the 67 playoffs; they probably win SB2 if they got past the Rams. Then SB3 with 5 turnovers and a missed FG basically gave away that game. A lot of ppl still think SB3 was fixed. The only thing I hated was when NFL films did Americas team for the 1970 champion Colts; they all seemed really bitter. It’s hard to win a championship. Ask Tom Landry who only got 2. Ask Mike Ditka whose Bears only enjoyed 1985. Ask Marv Levy or Bud Grant who never got one. Yeah, I think the Colts left some championships on the board in that era; maybe the most infuriating was 1971 when a last game of the season loss to New England gave Miami the division which meant the AFC title game was in Miami instead of Baltimore and the Colts lost 21-0.

1966 also, they had to settle for the Playoff ( Losers) Bowl

Things didn't so bad for the for the Colts in 1970 however

I could also watch Unitas to Berry all day long. To me, Peyton Manning and the mechanical way he throws the ball looks like Unitas. It’s muscle memory by the time you see these highlights but the way they both square their shoulders and step into their throws is very deliberate in its detail. Berry has hands like Cris Carter or like that Justin Jefferson who plays for Minnesota. The timing Unitas and Berry have together makes these passes almost indefensible
