2 years ago during my masters many people found me less cool because i wasn't on Instagram. They scroll reels during breaks and i used to read articles on my phone. Somtimes i felt left out but then i started spending time with people who are just like me. This generation is not totally wasted but There are some of gen z like us who have purpose in life and we want to work for our country 🙏🏼💕.

I'm A Gen Z... But i don't use social media apps except RUclips that too with a screen limit of 2 hour a day. I don't have any cool friends but i don't feel lonely at all because i have my parents. I don't smoke, drink. I do read a lot of books. I know what i want to do with my life. I have purpose and goals and im trying to achieve that goals sincerely. As for the relationship i think I'm more into commitment for forever rather than casual relationship. Every generation has their flaws i know many millennials who don't know the purpose of their life, they had bad habits, they do had casual relationships but we just didn't knew it or that just didn't discussed so much due to communication barriers.

People need to realise that not everyone from the previous generation was a saint or warrior. There were also people who smoked, drank, went to brothels and led a lavish yet useless life. We think the previous generations were the greatest because we come across stories of the greatest people, not the slackers. Similarly, in this generation as well, there are people who ruin their life and also there are people who study or work hard every single day to achieve a meaningful life and go down in history or simply feed their family. Not everyone from this generation is spoiled or a social media addict.

Honestly, Gen Z is beyond hopeless. Social media has ruined their lives. Gen Z is more concerned about their internet life than their real life. Also another big issue is "social media influencers". These so called rich, successful ppl promote car, bar, cigar, alcohol, girls, promiscuous lifestyle/hookup culture and heavily criticizes conventional jobs like what the previous generations have done. All those online courses will never change your lives. KIDS of today don't wanna put in the work but earn money & become millionaire overnight. Gen Z is down bad with attention, fake lifestyle, maintaining a facade that makes them look "cool"...but in the end nothing that makes their life productive. Lets not talk about Gen Alpha, they are still in the testing phase, they shouldn't have come out! *Also fck Twitter & Instagram☺*

I quit all social media last year. It took me 1 year to recover, but finally, there is no more depression and anxiety. I started reading books instead of using social media. Now I am happy and working for my future.❤

And Mass Bunks has made this even easier , Most of College mates are now selfish and could do anything to get their competition down .
The long lethargic 6-8 hr college schedule is such a pain in ass
If I talk about myself i leave for college at 8 am reach college at 10 am because my college is 25 km away and use public transport .
Then i have classes from 10:30 to 5:30 then i leave from there and reach home at 7:45 . I am very exhausted and tired then also I help my mother with chores and be a taxi driver for my mom as she fears to ride a 2 wheeler and i just roam with my mom.
Even after this schedule the college professors are lazy to teach .😶😶😶😶😶😶

You know why youth is distracted to social media, it's because it makes them happy, makes them smile. They are not allowed to follow their passion and interests, work upon them, if they are allowed they wouldn't get time to be distracted. I am a Gen Z (2003 born) but obviously I want to connect with past generation, being a Mass Comm, my work has been linked to computers. My childhood has been either with computer games and playing at friends house or enjoying at dance class, I played outdoor less due to a problem, later I started sports after my best friend shifted to another place. Social Media I started using post covid to make new friends or connect with old ones who are long distance but I want to travel and explore a lot and love being outdoors now and connect with small kids as mujhe bachche pasand hain par I hope yeh bachche aage jaakar acchi life jiyen or childhood enjoy karein.
I am a GenZ jo apne traditions se judi hoon, committed relations mein maanti hoon or apne filmmaking goals par focused hoon and I have a aim in life.

First thing there is a term known as generation gap. Genz spends time on social media because it is accessible to them, if social media was invented in 1900s the generation before us would have using it.
Second the other terms like depression, anxiety are human psychology and are different for every other person that why its not like everyone is depressed.
the last point mentioned in this video about toxic relationships, and drugs is correct because i have seen kids age of 14-15 smoking so I guess its a valid point
I personally thing people mature as they age and try to forget the mistakes they made at teenage.
To the people who say "what will happen to this generation" , i think you should not worry about this generation because every generation knows how to take care of themselves, this is how humanity works.

I'm not bragging, Sometimes you look at some people and feel "Oh my parents raised me well"
And I'm proud to be born in my country, Had I been born elsewhere, I wouldn't be doing any of the things mentioned above

Whatever you are doing brother do it with complete faith and positivity , don't think it is a waste ,you will get to learn many things and if you think it will work you can talk to your parents,we should not always think that parents doesn't care about our passion but instead try to talk to them and if results are not favourable still don't get demotivated soon always think whatever you will do it will affect you in a positive manner and if you are on right track nothing will harm you, although ups and downs will come because that is a part of life as Krishna told Arjuna Nishkam karm kro and yes give some time to yourself, do self analysis ask yourself what you want to do and why ?Hope you find it helpful and sorry for giving advice without asking.All the best brother

They really don't put effort on studies and they just fake about starting business etc. I also belong to this gen z generation and I consume social media 15 minutes only. I know the problem that our education system is bad but I don't blame it. Because we have many examples of great persons came out from this education system and became great in life. It is not about system it's about the people who teach you. If you have good teachers , then they will show you the purpose. Apart from these we gen z have many resources to sudy but still we avoid and blame the system and it's operaters. When you are aware then take decision and get out of it by working hard. I am from Gen-Z(2007). My father is a businessman.I am also joining his business permanently next year! I also have a long term plan of next 10 years that will help me to become at least a millionaire! Also i don’t smoke,drink or any ather kind of activity that seems cringe!❤

Nice 👍🏻, I usually see depression in women of my mother's age and it's common in newer generations too but newer generation has a really low threshold for it. I think millennials are the happiest generation. We studied when there was the time to study and now doing our jobs peacefully.

Try zen space ,it helps.(if your phone has it)
It locks your phone and it won't open any thing except the camera and you can use the phone after the timer is out.
Try by using this for about 6-9 hours every day you'll get one habit fixed.
If you study from phone get the printouts of whatever you read ( more beneficial - less strain on eyes and neck).
