Then, we’ve all tried resetting and erasing our devices and restoring from a back up yada yada yada , seriously, im getting so sick of hearing this works...it may for some....but those aren’t the same people. The problem we are having is that none of these solutions work and in most cases the “other” grouping just grows in size until it eats up our entire storage....regardless of how many times we erase and restore. Apple has no solution either. Also it should be mentioned that we are all mostly quite computer literate, some very competent. So much so that we can clearly recognize a fault in the system or a bug when it occurs. Its becoming frustrating as every single solution video is identical or just a variation on a theme. I wonder how many of the people making these videos actually research the problem they claim to have a solution for. This issue really needs to be addressed as its affecting thousands maybe more.

If you are witnessing extreme jb (Jigabytes lol) loss then I would definitely suggest to start with a fresh restore instead of a back up and install all apps manually and only sync your contacts.
Other consists 90% of deleted photos and videos. The logarithm recognises those deleted staff as a potential memory to be moved to the iCloud (for money). Therefore as a potential income for Apple and as such will not be removed from your memory storage. However, if you go to the Apple ID (just press your name) => iClouds => apps using iCloud => turn off photos. Voila! Your Other is empty and your memory is freed up. By the way, before I did that I moved my photos/videos to GooglePhotos for free as there’s no possibility to buy extra iCloud storage space (Upgrade it) in my country.

The 4 digit phone password did not work. my itunes password did not work. computer password did not work. what worked??? A random old password that I used ages ago for iTunes and a variety of other ecommerce sites.
