Hi Dan! I appreciate that and we look forward to having Brooke join us more! It's so nice to spend family time without a phone or computer screen for the kids to look at. It really humbles me to see our subscriber numbers and viewership grow and I'm just happy that so many people get to spend some valuable time with us out on the trail and talking ebikes. This video really shows how nice it is to get out with family and be able to have a fun time with each other.
Hi Guy! Thanks for stopping by! With the spring and better weather upon us, I'm really looking forward to getting farther away from the house to some new exciting and scenic trails!
Hi Benjamin! This was the first time with Brooke riding an ebike with us and it was a great time...and way more enjoyable for Brooke! Looking forward to getting out to some new scenic trails very soon!!
Hi MrG! This was the first time that Brooke had an ebike while we were out and it was much more enjoyable for us all! 😀 It's very hard nowadays to get that amount of time with your kids without electronics so this is a great way to achieve that! I'm really looking forward to getting out a lot more with her. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi 56Crown Vick! It was really fun to get out with all three of us on our maiden voyage with ebikes. Looking forward to having Brooke get out with us so she can enjoy the trails with us!
How's my Grafton friend doing? It's good to hear from you! I'm looking forward to venturing out farther from our house to ride some new trails that we came across toward Elkins and Parsons. Thanks again for riding along with us! 😀
Maybe I’ll try that but if the Lectric peaks at 950 watts it’s still short of the Rattans peak at over 1200 watts. The Lectric still has a better top speed compared to what the Rattan allows with my computer.
Nice family ride, maybe you should take Brooke to the trail with the tunnel, see if she freaks out or not. John, did you have to change the saddle on the Rattan or is it comfy enough?
Hi Pedro! I'd say that she would be ok in the tunnel that we use close to our house since she's been through it a lot and it's lighted. Now the dark one that Lisa and I went through back in the summer...She would not like that one at all!! But she would probably be fine since I'd be with her. I haven't changed the saddle on the Rattan yet but I probably will. It is a bit more comfortable than the Lectric's stock one but still not great for long rides.
That’s a hard question. The Lectric bikes I have are the original ones with the 4” tires and no front suspension. I really like the 4”tires. The new 2.0 bike has the front suspension and 3” tires and I’ve heard rave reviews for it. The Rattan has 4” tires and front suspension and the battery, being external, is a bit easier to get to. I really like both but I think it comes down to price and power. The Lectric is all you need for flatter ground and a lower price. The Rattan is better for hilly areas but is $300 more. The throttle works a bit differently as well and takes a little more concentration than the Lectric. I’d say the Lectric would be better for first time riders.
Hi Bert! Not yet...I'm looking forward to getting out when we have more time to do those things. Those comparisons are on my list though. 😀 I'm really looking forward to see how the battery life on the Rattan holds up on long rides. The only thing is that it doesn't have a way to check the remaining volts like the Lectric does. So riding it until failure is really the only way to see what the max mileage for me will be.
Hi Glenn! Thanks for the update…when I got my Lectric bike, people were saying it peaked at 7 hundred something watts. I’d say that electric bike review probably had a more scientific way to measure. 982 is a great peak for a 500 watt motor.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife The RAD folks claim that their bikes have a 750 W motor, what they don't tell you that the 750 is max power, not nominal like the Rattan. Misleading if you ask me.
Hi how are you communicating with each other do you have special helmets can you let me know leave me a description as where I can get mine thank you have a good day be safe
Thanks for stopping by Frank!! We use the Sena R1 bike helmets. They have hands free communication that you hear on the video. You can also connect your phone to the helmet with Bluetooth so you can make and receive calls through the helmet. The helmet also has a built-in radio tuner so you can also listen to your local FM radio stations on the helmet. You can find the helmet on Amazon with the following link: amzn.to/357P7HZ. If you follow this link, I will receive a small commission for the sale but that will not add to the price. This helmet is actually on sale right now. 😀
It is great to see the family riding together. Looks like a really good ride.
Great to see you guys out and about together! Getting a lot closer to 1k subscribers!

Go Brooke!! Show those old folks how the young whipper snappers do things! Happy Belated Birthday Kiddo! Have Fun Brother!
You can go into the settings on the lectric and make it more aggressive take of faster for the drag race. And do a rematch

Would you suggest the rattan over the lectric's?

2nd! Have you compared milage and speed with the GPS on either bike yet?

Electric bike review said that lectric has a nominal 500-watt motor and Peak power of 982 watts.

Exactly right and not a good way to do business if you ask me. Very misleading!
