    Ha visto el 'Mole Show' concierto con Penn Jilette en Copenhagen, Dinamarca, en Junio 1983...the Copenhagen show in June '83 was the first time out of so far five shows with Rez that I've experienced. It's been a mix of good and bad really.
    Only one guy is left today, since Hardy Fox died in 2018. And they were never really a band - it was always these two guys, and some session musicians that slowly changed over time.

      Too many people came and went, but they were never the foursome people still like to think they are... ruclips.net/video/vonj9nVu4XE/видео.html
      Noone misses the pointy nose of the always Randy Homer Flynn III, whose daughter probably has a Czech mum, since Jana is one of the most common names there - I had a Czechoslovakian friend - Jana - who died from cancer here in Sweden, and whose daughter also was named Jana. He surely survives with all the expensive merch he carries around (or does he owe John?). A couple of years ago, he tried to sell 5 fridges full of merch for $100,000 each, and he sold one - but didn't get paid. Maybe it's become his life mission to reimburse John (if he's stll alive)?
      But wasn't it Jay Clem (of Delta Nudes 1969) who payed for the world's first home VCR, one of several models of Sony U-Matic from 1969 (that weighed 60 kg/lb132, and only played one-hour b/w tapes), sold from Sept. 1971 in the US for $1-2,000? Plus camera and what not.
      I saw the latest, low budget incarnation of Rez in Christiania, Copenhagen earlier this year, and the trio played as many songs as possible in 75 mins, just like The Ramones 30 years ago. It was soulless, pointless crap, the tees were $100 and it was my sixth an final show in 40 years.
      There's a lot of stories with people coming and going, like Palmer and Barry Eiland (both dead), Pamela Zeibak/Wieking, Nolan Cook, Philip Perkins, Rhoda, Suzy, Phil (Philip Charles "Snakefinger") Lithman...they're too many to be mentioned, but most of the early ones are mentioned here: www.discogs.com/artist/803728-Delta-Nudes
      This is getting too long. Watch radio program director Bill Reinhardt's home videos uploaded by Rossa Rooney instead! He discovered them in 1972 and played their 'Santa Dog' at home in Portland, Oregon - and maybe Bill Groening, 15-16 at the time, could here them at home in Eugene. And maybe he named Homer Jay Simpson after Homer and Jay? ruclips.net/video/jWvRA1QjDLE/видео.html
      /J.
      PS. My friend helped arrange 'The King And Eye' Show here in southern Sweden some 30+ years ago. Rez had asked for "typical, Swedish food", so they chose reindeer steak. It's yummy, but reindeer is just as common down here as in Copenhagen, across the bridge (and through the tunnel). Only Home ate. Hardy maybe had a date...

    Viendo el documental "Teoría de la Oscuridad" llegué a la conclusión de que The Residentes, desde un punto de vista conceptual o ideológico, si se quiere, estaban haciendo Música Industrial, en el sentido promulgado por Genesis P Orridge, de crear música apartándose de lo que se considera correctamente aceptado en materia compositiva, y segundo, expresando sus ideas sin ser necesariamente músicos diestros o con una formación académica. No sé si fue esta actitud músical de The Residents fue entre otras, una fuente de inspiración para los Throbbing Gristle para desarrollar lo que ellos llamaron Música Industrial. Pero bueno, supongo que no es suficiente con ser experimental y tener una aproximación de no músico a la composición para considerarse un músico industrial en toda regla, entonces me cuestiono si en realidad lo que entendía Genesis como música Industrial era más bien una actitud sobre como acercarse a la música que una técnica compositiva o estilo en si mismo, como por ejemplo uso de ruidos como recurso sonoro, así como instrumentos electrónicos y apelación a temas considerados como tabus en las composiciones, a parte de lo irónico que bandas similares como Cabaret Voltaire rehusaran que se les catalogara como industriales. En fin, toda una confusión.

    • @Universe021
      @Universe021 2 года назад +1

      Cabaret Voltaire ya en el 73 hacían musica Industrial, fue la banda pionera en el estilo, La musica Industrial y Experimental son hermanas, ya por el 77 o 78 Throbbing Gristlen llaman a ese estilo como "Industrial" .. cuando empezó Cabaret Voltaire a hacer musica no era muy aceptado ya que era novedoso para la época y el publico que iba a verlos no entendían que pasaba ya que escuchaban ruidos, samplers de voces, voces con efectos etc. años después ya salen grupos como Throbbing Gristle, Monte Cazzaza, etc.
