In fact, it is not a full-fledged DLSS4 that will be available on 5000 series cards, the Transformer model is more focused on improving image quality, especially when moving, because of this there is a slight drop in fps. About the tests of the new graphics cards (rtx 5000), they will be after the release, nvidia did not send me them for the test, so I'm waiting for them to appear in the store, as soon as they appear I will make a maximal fast and fair tests. (I'll tell you a secret, the rtx 5090 will be out of stock in most countries upon release, with the 5080 the situation is a bit better.)
This is also without the new reflex update that will be baked into the drivers. That will make the input latency of the new model much better from what was demonstrated.
We will never get away from Frame Generation anymore. With DLSS 4, it runs smoothly and will likely get better over the years. I am not saying whether this is positive or negative; it is simply the new reality.
Can you make a comparison between DLSS 3 quality mode and DLSS 4 performance mode? I'd like to know if the new performance mode can come close to old quality mode.
@@perry4589 Maybe it differs from game to game as well. In some games it really makes no difference and sometimes even worse. Assuming DLSS will always reduce the VRAM usage is a bad take just because "it runs on lower res". That's usually not the case. 🤧🥲

I tried CBP with new transformer Dlss4 on my RTX 4080S in Q mode+max detail,, full rt and i was shocked. Insane quality and performance (QHD). No need to upgrade GPU.

It looks better than FSR 2/3-Quality mode. I actually noticed that they need to do some work on the transformer model. I’ve done a few tests and when you turn on the transformer model things start to look a little fuzzy or in certain shadows versus the old model I think they need to work on that. For reference I’m on an RTX 4090
average framerate seems a bit lower with the transformer model, but it seems like the frametime is a lot smoother with much higher 1% lows compared to the cnn model. and with the significantly improved visuals, seems like a net improvement overall at the expense of 4-5 fps on average.
