What’s your point? Corporations buying up property and renting at exorbitant prices wouldn’t be happening if asylum seekers weren’t here. Section 8 is available to non asylum seekers. Let’s not pretend government isn’t aiding its citizens with welfare, housing vouchers and daycare assistance.

They don't have to worry because we the taxpayers are paying for all their needs. These Democrats cities have rolled out the red carpet for them.
      How sad...😢
Proverbs 14:34, we read, “ 2:34 Righteous exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
This is what happens when nations CANCEL Almighty GOD, and it will only get worse.
The moral and Godly principles and foundations of morality, family, accountability and fear of GOD have been calculatedly stripped from our homes, society and schools and replaced with complete lunacy.
So, we have generations today who know not GOD!. Don't fear GOD, parents, teachers, police and anyone else. Rather, evil, immorality and degradation is the new norm.
In Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 8, Verse 11 -
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
      Isaiah 5:20 --
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
The LORD Jesus declared over 2,000 years ago this!!!
Matthew 24:7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Luke 17:26-30 "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed."
      Luke 21:25-28
"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
      Isaiah 55:6
"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:"
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
      Proverbs 21:30
"There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD."
      Psalms 9:17
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."
      Proverbs 14:12 -
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.
      Matthew 11:15
"He who has ears, let him hear."
Psalm 14:1 - The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God
Proverbs 29:1 - He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Corporate for profit investors to make as much as possible, cutting maintenance and turning buildings into slums and selling out after maximum profit. Better housing in high crime areas, but not many willing to rent due to crime. Time FOR landlords to join forces to fight crime in such areas that would significantly broaden the rental market. This means hiring security guards and culling out problem tenants. IT CAN BE DONE, BUT THEY MUST DO IT FOR THEMSELVES. Stop waiting for the city to help, its not coming.
Renters too must start thinking outside of the box to band together to start co-opts. Quite reasonably people want to rent in the limited housing available in low crime areas, which gives greedy landlords such power to gauge, nickle and dime them in fees. A coalition of renters with landlords in these high crime areas can break the cycle, with guards, and cameras, and keeping the hood rats out.

Rent moratoriums have consequences. Who would have guessed that not being able to evict bad tenants for 3 years or collect rent from them would cause landlords to drive up rent costs to recoup massive losses.
Don’t get me started with insurance increases because of the spike in property crimes from “defunding the police” and not prosecuting crimes.
Finally property taxes are going up dramatically in many areas including Chicago due to the plummeting value of the dollar from printing so many of them driving up the values of properties.
The past 3 years were an exercise in what not to do from a public policy perspective. Hope you had fun, because now the bill is due.

Chicago isn't an exception. NYC and Chicago suffer tremendous costs of housing asylum seekers.
The city cuts expenses in vulnerable places to get billions for Asylum Seekers.
The cost of housing migrants in NYC is extraordinary - "We are past the breaking point" - NYC projects a $12 billion migrant bill.
Detailed single bill: $383 per night, including food, housing, and medical care (all for free for migrants), said Mayor Adams on August the 9th.
To manage those expenses, Adams says the city plans to trim services such as library hours, meals for senior citizens, re-entry programming for Rikers Island prisoners, and free, full-day care for three-year-olds.

If the highest rent increase was in Lincoln Park at 10.6% and the median rent increase for a one bedroom apartment is 10.3%, this means either all areas in Chicago are approximately at 10% (rent increases) or the use of the median is inaccurate. That is, if 10.6% is the highest, per neighborhood, than this means that most neighborhoods are significantly less than 10.6%. This means that the median/average rent increase should also be significantly less than 10.6%. This means either the analysis of the data is flawed or the rent increases in Chicago are so uniformly distributed that the median rent increase is the highest rent increase percentage. The earlier is far more likely.

Most people don't see the problem . The U.S. Dollar is worth less now than it was last week , that means prices for everything have to increase , what it also means is that you should be getting raises in you wages to match but large corporations don't want that . Financial Experts agree that a single person with a H.S. Diploma working at an average job that does not require higher education should be spending no more than 30% of their take-home wages on rent and utilities . Look back to the 1950s a family with 2 children could afford a home , a car , and 1-2 weeks vacation every year and in most cases the father was the only one working , ( a single 40 hour per week job ) and the family did just fine . SO THE REAL PROBLEM IS WAGES . Now I know there will be some people that say well if wages go up prices will have to go up again , WRONG . Large corporations have profit margains they want to increase year over year for their Stock Holders , but when a company like Walley world , (you know who I mean) is showing 150 Million more in profits this year than last year it's only because of slave wages . Nation wide , when the cost of living goes up by 30% there is already room for wages to go up by at least 30% .

@@eattherich9215 that's what the average rent is now. And remember this is market rate rent. Not the NYCHA or section 8. Try looking for an apartment right now and you'll see what I'm talking about. You might be able to rent a room in some nasty chopped up illegal apartment but if you want something legit it's crazy right now.

I believe it's high taxes in the City of Chicago because everyone complains about the new developments, building higher/high-rises in their neighborhoods or area, preventing the city from generating more money from the increase in units. So since everyone votes against it to their alderman, they raise the taxes on your property/existing priorities, which is obviously in short supply, to make up for it. The City of Chicago is not just increasing taxes for no reason, they have to generate funds somehow. Building taller, new housing & new development is the best way to lower taxes.

They're building new developments every week in Phoenix, where I live, why do you think everyone is moving here. Also, job creation is booming here which in turn creates new housing. Warehouses are popping up everywhere. Chicago needs to get back it's warehousing roots, and in cities within close proximity to the city. Build more warehouses, attract more people which in turns builds more housing which invevibltly lowers taxes.

And rent regulation will not phase national management companies and are unfair to small local landlords.

These cities are crying they need workers but they have no affordable housing to offer. One city is offering immigrants to come work in the city with a $15,000 offer to move there. Its just gotten so messed up.
