I think you should have taken Land Cruiser (Samson) as it can carry more storage, is more sophisticated than the Tacoma; 360 degree camera and turn assist and and a wider track which helps in snowy conditions. Moreover it’s also more comfortable !
@@maitreytelang2312 The only problem is that the Cruiser doesn't have inside living space. That is by far the most important thing on a trip like this. Rich and Ash are small, so the Tacoma is pretty comfy for them ;)
As a former soldier who traveled the world and has 12 combat deployments, this is an amazing use of my time! What an adventure!I love to see that you two are so in love-there’s nothing like having your best friend as your spouse.Keep up the great work!Looking forward to the next installment with the Great White North!
Man every time I see overlanding video to Alaska it reminds me of the time where in 2014 I left Fort Wainwright to Chicago in a BMW not knowing that I was getting a small taste of overlanding. I’m can’t wait to get a truck or something to start my adventures.
You wouldn’t regret doing a trip to the Yukon & Alaska. I went up north last summer, it was incredible. Planning a trip back for next summer. Hopefully another winter one someday too.
The edit that tells the story is brilliant, ill be watching for the enjoyment and to learn more about editing and story telling with video. Cant wait for the next one.
Thanks Richard & Ashley and Overland crew for another great episode! Looking forward to next weeks. Too bad about the weather on the Icefields Pkwy its such an incredible drive and the scenery in unreal.... when you can see more than 5ft in front of you.
Amazing job. The rout looked amazing with beautiful jungles and animals. Natural sites they visited look wonderful, specially the hot water spring with snow around it was looking incredible
Boy, oh boy freezing temperatures. And the hot springs... Looks a scene from a movie. So awesome!!! Love it. Can't wait for next episode. You guys are awesome. Great editing by the way.
Fantastic! Today, it was 93°F (34°C), here in Tampa, Florida, so I stayed comfortably warm watching your trip through the beautiful, frozen wonderland of AB and BC. I would love to camp and hike Banff NP, one day. But if I go, I might never leave...
AMAZING!! There is something about the intro when Clay says “For our first ever Solo Series” and the circle Arrow in the Solo logo creates the “O” that really pumps me up for adventure!! I am active duty Military stationed In Korea (with no vehicle) and every week look forward to XO vids for that sense of exploration adventure that I want to do. There is no doubt @desktoglory was a great choice for this first Solo adventure. This series so far seems to really touch what an average adventurer (not that Ashley or Richard are average adventurers lol) can do....but delivered with the professional movie like quality and entertainment of an XO product! The Giordano’s amazing filming and storytelling with the Clay narrative is the perfect combination!! The episode really seems to relate to the average person (me!) that could just leave the house and explore with minimal preplanning and discover in abundance! Great work!!!
Loving this so far. When it said the water temp of those hotsprings was only 4 degrees C. I was thinking those guys are hardcore! Had to double check and sure enough its meant to be 40/42Degrees C which is roasting! Looks amazing
26:27 - 4°C is definitely not a hot spring I think you got a conversion wrong! Absolutely the best overlanding content out there. Keep up the hard work and youll be in the millions of subs in no time.
As always, what a heart warming show! Such an epic journey these two have embarked on! I cant wait to see the Solo Series keep growing! Great job XO team!
I knew right away when the border crossing was brought up there would be an issue. As a Canadian that goes to the states often I feel that pain every single time. You'd think it would be easy to go back to your home country, but it never is. Coming back home to Canada is a nightmare.
I've shipped my FJ from the U.S to Panama (back in 2014) and the exporting process was very smooth. However, importing the car into Panama was a bit of a hassle because the agents charged me the luxury vehicle import tax (23% being a 2010 vehicle). On November 2019, my wife and I shipped the FJ from Panama back to Florida (still had to pay more fees in Panama to export and lots of paperwork that only certified agents can do). In FL the importing process was nice and easy. Driving into Canada on December 21st, 2019, through the Buffalo border was also a very smooth process. Canadian officers were nice enough to even give me advise on where and how to register the FJ in Canada. So I think it all comes down to how moody the officer was feeling that day. Anyway, it is part of any overlanding adventure. Great they sorted it out.
Nice to see you guys here! Yes, one border crossing was a no-go immediately. The next border wasn't an issue, they just needed to sort out the right paperwork for us.
Great video haven’t finished it but loving it so far but did anyone notice at the 26:28 time stamp the water temp was said to be 4*C and 108*F just thought that was a funny observation
The snow at the hot springs made it look like you were in a magical snow world. I like that you aren’t planned for every minute and allow for variables. I want to have flexibility in case I come across something that interests me that I can stop and enjoy. I can hardly wait for the next video. Loving it snow much snow far. 😎😁
Loving this! It may be the motivation I need to edit and upload my footage heading solo on my KTM to Tuk last year. I hate to critique but Clay... please... Arc tic!
Please tell me than they have videos of the previus parts, i would love to see their videos from south and central America !! btw, so exited for this new series :D
Had a quick doubletake at the temperature of the water "4 C" OUCH that would be cold, that can't be correct! Then I saw "108F" oh, right, missed a zero. lol
Thank you for joining everyone! We hope this continues to inspire your adventures!

an expedition to the arctic ocean is my retirement gift to myself!!! Thanks to @expeditionoverland for giving us the mentorship thru these videos!!
Thats amazing! What a great adventure that will be for you!

I think this is one of your best videos yet!
Thanks Samuel!!!!
So very good, that 30 minutes flew by!
Thanks Matt, we appreciate it!
Thank you Expedition Overland and Richard and Ahsley. As always we are inspired. Eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
Only six more days to go... Episode 3 is a fun one!
Wow beautiful!!! Thank you. Filled with chills when i saw the Buffalo
Us too! The caribou did it as well!
This is the series I’ve been waiting for from you guys since Pan America!!!
Thanks for all of your support! We appreciate it!
Excellent Clay & X-O Team!!
Thanks so much!
The hot springs were fantastical!
Indeed. However, they made a typo. 4°C is 39°F. The water temperature was actually 42°C, or 108°F.
Hooray! Expedition Overland back on an overland expedition. Sure it will be worth waiting for! 👍👍
AMAZING !!!! JUST AMAZING !!! Congratulations !!! Thank YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!! ... no words ... really ... just AMAZING !!!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Love them both. Can't wait for the next episode.

OK, that is really freakin' cool. What a trip, what sights they saw.
Now, more than ever, I want to road trip to Alaska and the Yukon.
Well done.
Just wait ‘til Ep 3 👌🏻
And watch their legendary Alaska/Yukon series. To say it was awesome is an understatement.
You wouldn’t regret doing a trip to the Yukon & Alaska. I went up north last summer, it was incredible. Planning a trip back for next summer. Hopefully another winter one someday too.

Saw it. Loved it. Wished I had the money and time to do it.
The edit that tells the story is brilliant, ill be watching for the enjoyment and to learn more about editing and story telling with video. Cant wait for the next one.
Very cool. Glad to have the adventures back on the web to view. Keeps us motivated to keep traveling too!
Thank you!!
Great series. The editing and voice overs are crisp, fresh, and an inspiration to all us adventurers,
Watch it from the very start! Years ago Clay Croft had begun this
Such good memories from up north. The Rockies are a special kind of beautiful in the winter!
28:07 The last thing I ever expected to see in an XOverland video was an Opie & Anthony WOW sticker...and in the Yukon, no less! 😃
😍love it, and bring an extra bulb for next trip, there’s a broken passenger tail light!
Love that my province was featured on this episode! I’ve found issues with border crossings happen fairly often at the Alberta/Montana border
BEAUTIFUL ! BUUUUUURRRRRR IT'S FREEZING OUTSIDE ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED !
Thanks Richard & Ashley and Overland crew for another great episode! Looking forward to next weeks. Too bad about the weather on the Icefields Pkwy its such an incredible drive and the scenery in unreal.... when you can see more than 5ft in front of you.

Awesome trip, I love the hot springs in the winter.
Amazing job. The rout looked amazing with beautiful jungles and animals. Natural sites they visited look wonderful, specially the hot water spring with snow around it was looking incredible
Awesome to see Richard and Ashley come through my back yard - Alberta - and up into Northern BC... winter driving in the north always an adventure...
Both episodes have been so good so far. So stoked on this one, definitely can’t wait for the next episode.
Ep 3 is a fun one!
Really cool to watch, specially when we’re closed on this pandemic crises and we’re not allowed to travel... thanks
Drove this exact route last September with my buddy on the way to Alaska, they're hitting all the same stops. Brings back many great memories ...
Amazing!! I can't wait to the next chapter !
Thanks for watching!
Boy, oh boy freezing temperatures. And the hot springs...
Looks a scene from a movie. So awesome!!! Love it. Can't wait for next episode. You guys are awesome. Great editing by the way.
I've held off watching this all day it was worth the wait, the journey looks amazing can't wait for the next episode
Thanks! The next episode is pretty fun!
Great show!
terrific editing like usual. can't wait to see the rest of the story unfold.
What a beautiful, inspiring and refreshing episode. Perfect for this time at home. Nice work guys! Looking forward to the next ones!

This is dope! Super inspiring and entertaining. Looking forward to the next one!
We were REALLY worried about making a boring episode. Thanks so much!
Elevation place! I used to work there! I miss Canmore.
I used to live in exshaw, the Hamlet where they got the shots of the big Horn sheep!
Loving this so far. When it said the water temp of those hotsprings was only 4 degrees C. I was thinking those guys are hardcore! Had to double check and sure enough its meant to be 40/42Degrees C which is roasting! Looks amazing
"Snug as a bug in a rug!"
Another winner from the XO crew, thanks guys! Looking forward to some So1o gear soon. I usually travel solo so it resonates with me!
26:27 - 4°C is definitely not a hot spring I think you got a conversion wrong!

Awesome video ✌

This looks hardcore! My family and I had planned this trip last year, but then... covid. Maybe someday! Absolutely love the habitat system too.
Awesome series so far cant wait for what's to come!!!!
Thanks for following along!
Guys, your series is amazing. Hover the amount of add is ridiculous and takes out the fun of watching it.

Thanks!
Very cool! I did Ushuaia to Tuktoyaktuk on my motorcycle! But not in the winter.
looks like you guys enjoys a nice bowl of Bun on your first stop for food in Canada.
i cannot imagine how cold it is
Fantastic trip, great video and sound
This is some of your best work imho
Thanks so much!

Haha yes! Can't wait to finally come over for a visit!
So dang good!
Thank you! Was fun putting together a series with just two people traveling and filming. 👌🏻
That was good I enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for watching!

Let's do this
Good video, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Awesome places. Although some conversions from F° to C° were not accurate, I had to double check them frequently
I wish we had the trunda and Tacoma in Australia 😢
Wilbur ya but your lucky you get hilux and 79s
You do know that the Tacoma is a re-badged Hilux?
Wilbur I wish we had a road long enough to drive it on in the UK! 😂😂
inthefarqueue nah it’s not it’s bigger and we only we a 2.8 litre diesel in our hiluxs
Yep would have to drag my 26ft camper for this trip..

@@ExpeditionOverland thanks for the info, have a nice wekend !
DAY 7 LIARD RIVER, BC TEMP -10F is actually -23C NOT -12C. HECK THAT IS COLD. BUT LOVE WATCHING THIS FROM THE NORTHERN TERRITORY IN DARWIN AUSTRALIA.
Awesome video, one mistake in Hot Springs temp its 42C and not 4C ;)))
Let's see another trip like the PanAmerican 👀
Had a quick doubletake at the temperature of the water "4 C" OUCH that would be cold, that can't be correct! Then I saw "108F" oh, right, missed a zero. lol
I thought that too.
Should be 42 degrees C.
Oops!
When I drove to Alaska last year Diesel was CAD$1.29/liter, I would have loved to have seen $.93/liter. It was $1.69/liter in Inuvik.
When we got to Inuvik gas was $1.70 as well, but by the time we left it had dropped to $1.45!
