I'm just a DIY type guy and have been using Torque Pro software the past 3 years on an Android with an inexpensive Bluetooth reader. Its been fantastic. All for about $30. Its accurate, no wires, no habitual clicking through settings, etc.
Just bought one and it's all I wanted. something to pull codes and clear codes.

I was thinking about this code reader, I like HF and they have a lot of good stuff if you can figure out what junk to avoid, but I think this reader is just too small and the screen is too. It would probably work ok for some stuff, but I'm glad I decided to shell out $92 for the Innova 5210 from advance auto parts, if they can ever get it to me.
I’d recommend the Ancel VD500 for an at home scanner for a VW owner. It can control the electronic parking brake and reset the oil life monitor
Great video I love the review on the Grearwrench Bolt Biter. Take a look at the ZURICH ZR4 OBD2 Code Reader ($45) it does a good job. I think it will be as good as the CReader VI ($45). I if the one from HF breaks or I find something better I got the 90 days to bring it back. Keep the new vids coming.

Ive been waiting for your video on this lil puppy!! Mine does alot more, like your other one you were using. I have a $120 Actron, but my next one is gonna be in the $2500 range. I want one that can do some programming and isolate different components. Great video!!

I bought the innova 6100 3 months ago it was 120 dollars but it's a good scanner so far it also test battery and alternator I'm going to buy the autel maxi pro this week it's a reset tool it does a lot like reset electric steering and mantince lights and will bleed electric brakes as well

i had been having issues with a miss in a grand marquis, went to a guy who runs a shop and he hooked his expensive snap on computer to it and found nothing... i bought this tool at HB and found the code instantly, bad coil..

I bought this for my Aunt's 2010 Explorer. It was fine one day then the next it wouldn't start. Thought the gas line was froze, but it's thawed, more fuel, and an additive. Nothing still. I must not know what the hell I'm doing with this reader. I despise computer cars

Wow what a cheap scanner. Spend a little more I'd say. Not a good scanner. Even just for codes. That's like using window 95 trying to fix a car. I mean for a home owner its OK to read codes only. Should not be in a shop at all.
Im Reptar it’s not a scanner, it’s an obd2 reader. Scan tools do a LOT more

Bought this today thought it would tell me which cylinder is missing it doesn't so what exactly is this for i know my truck is missing . Just wanted a short cut . This thing is a waste of money. and ,yes i know how to diagnosis the problem whith out it . Just thought this thing would make thing easier.

I just tried this exact reader yesterday, buying a used car. It just said no codes, so hopefully that means good things. Lol.
So the, " erase" button erases all the bad codes in your vehicle? In other words, if u have a code reading in your car just needs cleared to keep it from dinging on your screen to your vehicle, will this do the trick? Ie., i had a check engine light on, a friend said i could take it to autozone and they could put it on a computer and clear it. Is that what this would do????

Justin will the Creader CR3001 tell which cylinder is misfiring? I have an coil misfiring intermediately and not triggering the check engine light. I am trying to figure out which cylinder it is. Only other thing I can think of is to check cylinder temperature.

No. This scan tool is very limited you'll need to buy the next model or two up from the pocket reader. Cheers!

Yuppers! 96 and Newer and believe it or not I've even seen a couple of late model 1995's that also had a OBD2 DLC Connector.

For the guy that gave the CEN-TEC a thumbs down and for all you guys that tested the 60693 you should have done your research a little better.If you would have you would know you were holding a item that was pulled from the shelves 2 weeks after they found out the put the 1800 dollar software in the wrong Scan Tool . It really is a Scanner and diagnostic s.I use it in my race car Honda K20 A motor.I can change things up at different RPMS.Retard timing.There is another scanner that you update it from.It is the $2200 scanner that Harbor Freight sales.with coupons I believe it's 1800.When you up date your CEN-TEC 60693 with that Scanner I have the link .If you have that model you would not believe how many more PIDS.For $79.00 You just got a $1800 scanner.
