Video @ 11:09 "sharper than my T4 ?" - The better lens to compare to the Summarit Leica lens, would be the one on the FAR BETTER than the T4 (f/3.5 Tessar), would be the T3. It has a non-motorized ASPH f/2.8 - In other words, the best bargain of the three mentioned will be the Yashica T3(Best lens is no doubt the Leica Summarit $$$).
I’ve owned one since 2000. With all its faults and weaknesses, the little Minilux has provided my most printed images. Love mine enough to repair when that time comes or buy another.
Loving the bike ride road trip to test that awesome camera out and photos are spot on. You know it's a good video when it prompts an eBay search and price check of the camera featured. For the village statue would it be a shrine?
Thank you! As a camera in general the Minilux is definitely more to my liking. Having a bit of manual control and being able to push/pull film is great, but as an overall edc and price the T4 wins. Both great cameras and deliver high quality images.
Amazing video and results! ❤🔥Minilux is a cool camera - especially when You want to travel and deliver premium quality pictures - but expensive to buy and service in case of failure. P.S. we have so many video clips of us doing things that we can be a real danger to Kardashians series 😅
From Wikipedia: "As the camera ages, the flexible printed circuit connecting the lens aperture control can break, rendering the camera unusable. This is indicated by an "E02" error message displayed on the top-deck LCD.[8] Replacement of this flex cable is possible, but requires extensive disassembly.[9]" Mine broke after a few month, I got a completely new Camera from Leica.
As a collectible, perhaps. As a e of the image being tken.user, not so much. The Minilux has a well known problem concerning breakage of the ribbon cable connecting the aperture to the exposure control system. With use, they break. They are either impossible to repair (parts?), or not worth the cost of repair, a nearly complete disassembly of a camera never design to be disassembled is required. The viewfinder is said to be "pathetic", much too small for viewing and having inaccurate coverage of the image being photoed. Otherwise, it seems to be perfect.
Yea that E02 problem is pretty legendary and almost impossible to fix. Whether it’s a lack of parts or some repair shops don’t even wanna try due to it being a fully electronic point and shoot. The viewfinder is small and I wasn’t a big fan, but other than that I was extremely happy with my time with the camera.
"not worth the cost of repair - never designed to be disassembled" - Huh? - I service them... If yours still works, begin employing the technique of allowing the camera to go to SLEEP on its own. This preserves the Flexible Printed Circuit (Lens stays popped out) Simply touch the release button to Wake-It-Up ! Plus all settings are memorized; they don't change).
I have had the Leica Minilux since July 1995, it is the analogue compact camera with a fixed Lens that have the Lens with the best optical image quality. It has it downsides, fx the very small viewfinder, the most negative is the flimsy autofocus chip which easy can break and cost a lot in repair. I have not used it since 2006, because I will not be a user of chemical products any more, I am a big environmentalist. So since 2007 I have only used digital.

I could see why. The image quality that this small camera gives is great.

Haha That means alot! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you. I completely forgot about that word. Yea, that would be a shrine.
The black Minilux was a limited production version
True. The bogner edition also the regular black edition I believe (I could be wrong). They look cool, but a bit too up there in price for me.
Nice man. The tc-1 is cool too. A little cheaper. But all the time bump situation 😢
Haven’t had the chance to try one, but from the samples that I have seen it sure is. Thank you for watching!
great videos and great shots man, loved the video. how do you think it stacks up against your t4?

After a few months? Sorry about that. The E02 error is sadly a big problem.
"Replacement of this flex cable is possible" - Yes, and I service them...
@@y2ktube I know it can be fixed, but from start in 1995 it should never have been such a cheap solution.

Man, your accent reminds me of home, i.e., you have no accent to me. Yes!!
I get that from time to time. Thank you for watching!
I want to know how much is it?
From what I am aware they go for around 1000 usd.
Nice bike. #lugs
Thanks!
