Fun fact, in RS2 nature runes had dipped so far that they had to change the alch price for the very reasons you described. To this day, nats in RS3 alch for 74gp.
they can do a birdhouse type of activity for runecrafting, where you need to install a rune glyph in place of a birdhouse, that costs 40 or 80 of a specific rune to make. The higher the rune glyph the better runecrafting XP after you harvest is. Thus decent runecrafting XP and rune sink.

wanna clarify some stuff. Natures are sold to Ali for 90/ea and bloods are 200/ea. It’s honestly not a terrible passive money maker to put up an offer for thousands of runes at this price or lower. Also you don’t have to world hop or anything to sell to Ali, it stays 90/ea and 200/ea no matter what. So you can shift + right click your runes and make left click to sell 50 at a time and spam. Takes maybe 1-2 minutes to sell GE limit to Ali, and you end up making about 300-400k ea time.
100% after seeing what happened after toa announcement i was prepared for this. Sold off my shadow at 1.4b as soon as i saw the dip. Bought it back + another when i saw it hit 1.25b and start to bounce back up, and ended up selling them at 1.36b again. Easiest 200m i've made in my life.

I can tell you, as an independent high-value item flipper who knows people in the flipping clans, there is a LOT of market manipulation going on for most items over 1 mil. If something dips and then spikes back up, it's probably because it was manipulated. Let's also not forget that many of these items are being botted, so bot bans and new farms impact supply more than any clan.
I won’t lie - I love your videos. I drink a cup of coffee as I watch your videos. Also, could you go back to saying “good morning everybody”? I miss tho days 😂
For nature runes, the shop price (where the price doesn't change with quantity sold, Ali Morisane) the sell price is 90 coins, not 100. With menu entry swapper you can left click sell 50 per click, so mass volumes of selling have become somewhat trivial. I think the main gating factor would be the 18k GE buy limit. Even though selling 18k runes takes perhaps 30 seconds, if you bought at 85 coins (5 coin profit) you could only be making ~90k, while having invested ~1.6m in your buy offer.
This happens every time something huge like this is coming, if you’re smart you sell your entire bank really early and then buy it back when prices are down 30% because everyone is selling their banks for the new items
I've actually been buying blood runes for about 190-195 gp each and selling them to Ali Morison for 200 gp. The price he buys them at also never goes below that.
In fairness, the content you can do with those 2 items can make you a lot of GP, Bought the bowfa at 150mil and fang at 110 mil and it’s made me so much money with the content i can do with them. Unless u buy them n didn't use them at all then it shouldn't matter. On the flip side, if the prices increase by 10,20% now instead of drop, would you have sold them?
@@XtremeDrake Nah, I made good use of them and I don't regret the investment, even corrupted my bowfa within the first couple of days. However, it's always a bit of a stab to the guts when you see your own gear dropping so much
Could you make a video explaining how the GE tax is enough of a sink. My monkey brain just thinks that without an actual item sink, the number of these high value items will get so high as to force the price down...
One of the biggest things to note is people sell in order to also get cash to invest in items early for when a new release is coming out. This is expected from expensive gear. You can't expect much rebound until after the update when people get their profits (or losses) and then once again they will need there gear back. So between now and then you have a decrease in people wanting that gear.
Love your content, best market analysis out there! Just wanted to say, alching items also takes time, otherwise the absolute floor for every item would be its HA value minus nature rune price. But prices do go below that because people discount to save the time it takes casting alchemy. The same goes for nats. As supply tends towards infinite, alchemy value alone isn't going to keep the price of nats above 54, especially when you can already make hundreds of gold per cast on other items. There's both the discount for time saved selling and the premium for exp gained casting that need to be factored into the price.
You’d be surprised people actually sometimes alch items for a loss since it can be hard to find bulk items to alch, esp in f2p. And the main reason items are able to be below the HA price is because of their buy limit more then anything (why you make much less alching battlestaffs vs rune items)
@@Tonypollyoly You're right, there probably are lots of buyers in both f2p and p2p where the exp premium they're willing to pay is far larger. And buy limits definitely induce a significant amount of time overhead leading to a large time discount for those items.

@@externalboss9404 yeah we do. Look at the prices on the GE from everything such as mats, coal/iron/maple logs, to all the platebodies and low level weapons. I think having to arm your crew with gear depending on their lvl would be a good way to get some of the lower lvl gear to a higher price and possibly make it so that there is not only 1 or 2 profitable ways to lvl smithing.
@@tmadlegionsoul3255 Bro its low level gear its suppost to be worthless 💀
@@externalboss9404 smithing rune is lvl 85+. Not low lvl.
Has dragon pickaxe crash just been cause the wildy boss rework and the kalphite queens new drop table? Will it see a bounce back in price ever?
As long there so many bot doin wildy boss it wont gonna happen
@@jasonbautista2948 lol they reworked wildy bosses to remove the safespots "cheese" but made it easier for bots now
It's just testing support dude. Let it rock
Ali Morisane buys nature runes for 90gp, and his price doesn't change with how much stock he has, so just below 90 would be its true floor price.
Could it be due to the fact of recent findings of corruption found within Jagex orchestrated by Mod Trident? Players could be reverting their memberships which may affect the supply and demand.
Relax there Mr.Conspiracy your Oda bootlicking clearly left a bad taste in your mouth
Started with 991m bank value last week, runelite tells me I made about 251m last week. Still my bank value is now 930m because literally everything is going down. Bowfa, fang, bandos, dhcb and so on. Been grinding that 1b but everytime I get close shit like this happens. Busting my ass to lose money 😂 guess it's a Runescape thing
I’m an Ironman I don’t even care about the economy and I still always watch these 😂🤣😂
Ofc fang stops dropping just before it gets to where I felt comfortable buying it.
How do you purchase something from the GE for more than max cash?
have to buy it from another player who has the item you want
So what you're saying is - Grand Exchange is the new Gamestop
I blame Loki for the shadow drop
Don't we also have the other players about to join the main game? Or did that already happen? Been too busy to play for several months now.
G.E tax is a huge factor. The G.E isn't much of a player economy anymore. The tax has caused so many unstable fluctuations.
I bet it was the oda block clip from behe
We just got warm weather for the first time this year 3 days ago in Ontario Canada. Bet it's everyone selling off to go touch grass
This just in, economy in game where like 50% of the player base just tries to play the market fluctuates! Next at 5, most birds can fly!
I loved being shit-talked by a bunch of Redditors crying about Runecraft being too hard to train and making Jamflex add a minigame/skilling outfit that completely crashed the price of runes.....
Hate having been proven right, at least I can use my sang more ig
Me, an ironman, watching videos about a market I will never engage with
I have 720m nats in individual accounts. Waiting to get the price back atleast 180ea which I bought all at 126ea
I love that I bought my full ancestral and sang 2 weeks ago lolol fml
Progress
It's because they went after my mother rucking boy Oda.
I just want to know why Snap seeds keep going up and the value of the herb is plummeting
osrs market is a catalyst and omen for the IRL market cya on the other side folks
the fang is under 30 mil now. The bank just keeps crashing an crashing.
TBH every item except Tumeken Shadow just returned to their nomal price.
What about the ornate maul handle ??? Down 50% in value
Why are blood runes so cheap?? You're able to buy them for LESS than what you can sell them for to Ali in AL kharid
i got my fang for 60 m saw it go up and was happy, took a break from rs and now its 34m :( feels bad man
Imagine buying it at 110m 🥴
@@xHuskyybought it on release for 130m still have it now 😂😂
Has it maybe something to Do with fresh worlds?
