Exactly! Thank you, you are one of the few people, to say that pixel 4a has no competition! Even in terms of memory configuration 6/128 - what competition is there for the same price? A couple of Xiaomi and Samsung phones and that's it. Their only advantages being screen size (is that even an advantage nowadays?) and battery life. If you want the best camera, the best android experience, the best compact smartphone, one of the best valued memory configurations (it uses UFS 2.1 memory, btw) or if you are annoyed by notches and teardrop cameras, multiple useless cameras and the fingerprint scanner NOT at the back - Pixel 4a is the best option!! This smartphone literally is a dream perfect smartphone for me and my use cases!
I call multiple cameras features , water resistance , bigger batteries , sd card , all things that can be found on some other similar priced devices , even googles own pixel 4 costs not more and has the 855 in it , but hey , as long as you are happy with it mate .

I've seen a bunch of reviews and no one ever mentions people upgrading from a 2-3-year-old budget phones. We are upgrading from the Moto G6. I expect the overall performance jump to be significant.
If you get the pixel 4a and upgrade from a pixel 3a, you will immediately feel the difference in performance. I went from the p3a to p4a and there is a night and day difference.
Now that oneplus' oxygen os is also moving away from a stock feel, it makes the pixel series so much more attractive. Now if pixel can continuously get the price right, they're golden
Probably the best design of 2020, so minimal and camera ability at Night. Its a dream phone but completely out of budget. Let em tell you i am a Lava a82 user from past 5 year. dead life.
I think that THIS is a tech enthusiast phone. Consider all the roms, all the developer attention/attraction it will have. AOSP days are going to be great. And google stock will be legendary. NEXUS MASTER RACE IS BACK. In fact they should consider changing back the name. This will gain even much more hip around the phone.
I'm new here and I love the cinematography and aspect ratio, the video as a whole was great. My one addition would be to have some clean, simple, enticing B roll shot like 0:09 or 1:29 or 1:33 or 2:02 or 5:05 for the thumbnail with some text in a nice font (like the one for the specs in the video) Other than that it was a great vid
Watched many 4a reviews and surprised nobody mentioned its similarity to the 5x both in terms of form factor, feel, camera etc you name it. This to me feels like the next phone in line carrying on from Nexus. Looking forward to upgrading to the 4a from my current xz premium.
Used iPhones for years and tired of over saturated pics. I love how it takes pictures that resemble what your actually photographing. Astrophotography is mind blowing.
Now a days phone are being launched with a big size . Many people find this design very bad . Many people want a small size phone at first priority so that they can handle it easily in one hand. Second priority is phone should come wiith no bazels side punch hole camera, super amoled display, 5x optical zoom camera . Under about 30000 .
Just got mine and love it. I have no problem splurging on building a new gaming PC or a living room theater setup or whatever, but there is no reality where I pay $1000 for a phone full of gimmicks I never use. Heck, if there were an even cheaper version of the 4a without the front facing camera I would have gotten that one because I never use that either. The 4a does exactly what I need it to with snappy performance at what I would consider a reasonable price for a phone. Google really nailed it with this one.
I have used google nexus(4) phone ($299) and some flagships phones before.I never had any issues with google phone and didn't find a huge difference between nexus and flagship phones. Currently, I am using LG g7 which is nice , but my next phone certainly be a pixel phone. I don't want to spend $1000 for a phone which I mostly use for 2-3 years.
You hit the nail on the head... I bought this from My Best Buy in Jersey... Unlocked to transfer my SIM from my 2020 Razr ...(yea... Don't ask why I got that phone🤦🏾♂️ lol).... Best decision ever.. And I'm on day 3

I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus and planning on switching OS so would u recommend me to the 4a? I would use it for 3 years max and then i may switch. So will i notice any performance lag? I was tempted by the 3a, even more so by the 4a. I just can't get past having a rear mounted Fingerprint Sensor. For me, being able to open a phone to the Home Screen, without having to pick it up every single time I want to check something is a must. I can do that with my dirt cheap Sony L3. That said, everything else about it looks great.
I got my Pixel 4A today (through verizon) Literally pay like next to nothing for it on top of my phone bill. Think its like an extra $17 a month? Absolutely love the phone so far. Feel like its a much needed improvement from my Pixel 2 XL.

galaxy A71. its under 400 bucks araound here (europe) and is better in every aspect except the main cam, but not far behind even there. better display, better battery, expendable storage, dual sim, same soc, better UI (for me, stock android is too limited and was never meant to be a final skin) and ultra wide cam - i need that ultra wide!

Perfectly detailed review. Great job. A query though. I use my phone only for social media, camera and Netflix/Prime. I am not into gaming or video shooting at all. Would you recommend it if I am to keep it for 2 years or so?
Definitely! Social media usage in 4A would be like in most other Android smartphones but with the 4A you do get impressive camera and for your streaming consumption, OLED screen with Netflix HDR capability! And 2 years is more than enough, Google will support 4A all the way until 2023 so even an extra year wouldn't hurt.

It's definitely good. I've only been using mine for a day. I'm coming from a Galaxy S20...just getting tired of Samsung really. This phone is just not good enough for me to switch to it. I am returning mine and then going with the Pixel 5. I will say this though, the camera on this is definitely on par and often better than my S20 and is better than the iPhone 11 which my wife has. For $350. If anybody needs a solid cheap phone, get this one. If you can spend a few hundred extra I'd say wait until the 5.
What was it you disliked most? I upgraded from my OG Pixel back in April to a OnePlus 7t, and even though it's approved for Verizon, I've had issues. I know it would have felt like an upgrade from my OG Pixel, but now I'm worried I'll be disappointed coming back from the 7t.
Now a days the companies are mentioning processors ram etc that's what is essential for gamers Other than that Instagram and WhatsApp and Facebook doesn't require that much performance Only thing I m worried about is battery So it would be helpful if you could mention battery performance in next video
Talking about battery wouldn’t make sense because everyone do usage is different. All I can say is it the battery life is really good and will last you an entire day
My only issue is the oled screens, they all use pwm and murder my eyes. I get headaches and motion sickness from them. I have to sit out on all these awesome devices.

I am having issues with mine, map for some reason, from default to satellite view. I changed it back to default but as soon as I close it it comes back. Also my Google assistant stopped pinging when it was ready, I tried to fix both but no luck. Can anyone help?
The size is amazing. We need more compact sized phones. My only wish is that it should have had a SD765G. I will buy it nonetheless.

Excellent review the only thing I disagree with is the video recording. If you record video at 1080p 60 frames it's smooth as soap and it looks great

I am having issues with mine, map for some reason, from default to satellite view. I changed it back to default but as soon as I close it it comes back. Also my Google assistant stopped pinging when it was ready, I tried to fix both but no luck. Can anyone help?
