My 13 year old daughter and I loved opening up your advent together each day. Of the five yarn advents I got this year, your's was my daughter's favorite. Originally I wanted to make her a sweater but since I've never knit a sweater and couldn't find the perfect pattern that told me how to use all the minis, I decided to make her a Cozy Comfort throw. (held with undyed yarn.) I am about 3/4 done, and it's just beautiful. I told her it can be her forever keepsake of our memories of opening the advent together. Your sweater is gorgeous!
That’s so sweet! I'm so glad you and your daughter enjoyed the advent and that it was a good experience together. It can definitely be a challenge to find a good pattern for an advent, which is why I decided to adapt one myself. I have been considering making the Radvent Cardigan all year and will probably use another advent to knit that.
@@marilynharlow8720 You are so sweet. I don’t think I’m the gal for that project though as I always have to go in search of videos to remember every time. 😂
What a beautiful sweater from an amazing fiber artist and dyer. I have bought from Candy Shoppe yarns many times and am always beyond satisfied. Thank you for sharing this wonderful make. Didn’t purchase this years advent but would love to have. Next year for sure ….
Deborah this was such an amazing video✨ I loved the deep dive into your advent sweater. I appreciate all your tips and describing your process. I would love to see more videos just like this. Your videos are so inspiring. Happy new year, sweet friend.☺️
Thanks a lot for explaining your process on this sweater. It gives me inspiration. Currently I am knitting with my 2024 advent yarn. It's the Sweet Shop Blanket by Laura Penrose. I am also adding some yarn that I had in stash. Kind regards from Berlin in Germany, Almut
Oh my goodness! What a pretty advent. ;0) I just love the sweater you made with it. You're so creative and I always love seeing what you're up to. I also love the opening of the video....high in fiber. lol Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!! Hugs, Lori
Your sweater turned out lovely, Deborah! The past 2 years, I have been doing a swap with a friend for Advent. Mostly, I have been using it up in some blankets, but I have some mini skeins that could be faded and make a sweater. I do like the style of the one you made. I'm off to search for the pattern! Thanks for sharing!
Your sweater is fantastic. I started a marled mania cardigan last winter and have had to rip the sleeves out. I think the 2 circulars are the answer. thanks!
@@tinakercher8768 They really make it so much more manageable! I had to order mine online though since it’s not a common circumference for most shops to stock.
Hi Deborah, I'm Carla ( new subscriber to your channel. Your sweater is just gorgeous. The colour's you've dyed for your advent are beautiful. Thank you for sharing 😊
I made a raglan striped pullover. Simple stripes? Suvi knits? I know measuring down the back I knit 24”. Neck to bottom so I knit each color 1”. Worked out great.
That’s a great approach, especially if you are not fading the colors. I have more advents to use and will do that without blending one color into the next to make my life easier.
I wasn’t able to get one this year but a couple years back I made a cardigan by Stevan West WTH an advent and a heavier Suri in white. I love it. Love your Caliope too!
Your jumper is so pretty. I really like the colours mix and the neckline is sitting lovely🙂
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind comment.

Your advent and sweater are beautiful. I am weaving in my ends on my Anthology Throw while I watch.
@@melissaemery8686 That’s a great project! My friends knit a gorgeous Anthology Throw this year that I drool over. I hope you are happy with yours.
Love, love it!!!!

The Sweet Shop Blanket has definitely been tempting me! I always wonder if I have enough stamina to finish a knit blanket.
@@candyshoppeyarns Just take your time. You will always be looking forward to start a new colour. Blankets grow slowly and steady. I really love it.
Beautiful!
Thank you!

I’d love to know which cardigan of his you made. Was it the Bubble or the Penguino?
@ it was the garter marler cardigan, all garter stitch.
I really like my adventure. I am planning on making a Tunisian shawl with mine:)
Tunisian crochet is so interesting to watch. I love your project idea!
Love your advent fade! Are your notes all written in ravelry?
I have not added notes there. I am a fan of writing things down in a notebook by hand, though I’ve been terrible at even that the past year.
