Weird question I know you probably won't answer but do you know if there's any nearby pharmacies in lake Louise I'm going to be working over there soon and I can't seem to find any good information on online
I just subscribed. I've always dreamed on visiting Alberta and this video added to my desire to be there already. Hope I can visit this year or next summer. Thanks for the video it was wonderful!
Thank for the advice. As you mentioned the Fairmont Hotel several times, I want to recommend the HI hostels at Lake Louise and Banff. Save tons of money and meet interesting people.
I wish! I live down on the prairie in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where there is a severe shortage of mountains, trees and ocean. The Rockies and west coast are clearly the most beautiful regions of Canada, not to be missed by visitors.
In other regions of the world it can often be assumed that fresh running water, where there is no human development to dump sewage upstream, is safe to drink. However in the Canadian rockies, animals can be carrying giardia, which can be passed to humans. This includes all animals, even those found exclusively at higher elevations (pikas, marmots, ptarmigans), and even water that appears clean and running can have fecal contamination from these animals. I'd be more interested to know where you got the idea that drinking the water was safe? Nether Parks Canada nor Travel Alberta recommend drinking water from mountain streams, in fact both warn against it.
Thank you for this episode! You uploaded this video just in time! I'll be flying to Canada on Thursday to make a road trip through Alberta! Definitely one of the most beautiful places on earth in my opinion.. I'm looking forward to seeing the new episodes of your European adventures!!
When I was there we were across the lake from a large waterfall that was fed by a glacier and we got to see a chunk of the glacier break off and fall into the lake. It was definitely something that I’m gonna have to go see again
Awesome vlog just stayed in the fairmont there and vlogged my time! Loved all these tips , trailhead cafe in lake Louise town does great sandwiches that are a bit cheaper 👍
As a Canadian I feel terrible that they gouge tourists by charging $14 for sandwiches. That's probably at least 40% more than it would be anywhere else. I ended up buying a tea at Moraine Lake and I think it cost me around $5 when the very most it would cost anywhere else in Alberta is $2.50 so ya taking your own food to those places is good advice. You could easily stop at a grocery store in Canmore or even Banff and pick up some food to take for way cheaper!
matt...another excellent video film...your always on point with this type of expididtion .. *( more than your clubbing videos, good to ..., bit this is pure wonderment. ..)...
Reformatt Show Yeah. I'd consider visiting. Of course I'll be listening to all the advice you've given in this video lol. I'm from the US and I haven't traveled out of the country since I was very young. I went to Cambodia back then... Unfortunately I don't really remember much of my visit. I'd like to revisit it one day. Love your videos by the way.
Depending on where you are from, Central Alberta's longest day of the year is pushing 17 hours of daylight. I think sunrise is around 5AM and sunset is after 10PM. They don;t call it Sunny Alberta for nothing :)
Wauw, dat is een lange tijd. Waar in Nederland kom je vandaan? kun je me andere plekken aanraden in Canada? Ik vind Ontario niet zo heel veel aan..al woon ik er zelf lol.
Reformatt Show I am from Pennsylvania US and am planning a trip for the 1st 2 weeks of June 2019. Are the tourist volume levels tolerable & the weather agreeable ?

+Fred Martin I totally concur
Beautiful lake.thanks for useful comments.
WOW thanks for the upload! The view is stunning!
Giardia is a possibility in the Canadian Rockies, even at higher elevations. Please don't refill your water from mountain streams.
Evange may I ask why
I have always been told they are safe to drink from
In other regions of the world it can often be assumed that fresh running water, where there is no human development to dump sewage upstream, is safe to drink. However in the Canadian rockies, animals can be carrying giardia, which can be passed to humans.
