    Fantastic, thank you!! Just wondering, with the acetone method, is the ink permanent, i.e. if I change my mind about a design can I change it? I understand the ink is invisible if burnt over, but if not, is there a way to get rid of it?
    Thanks!!

      Hi, thanks for your comment. I don't know, I haven't tried it, maybe if you sand it down. You can try it on a sample to see if it is feasible.

    That is some awesome tips! I was wondering about the acetone method. Is it safe to burn over ink? Is the ink visible over the finished picture? If so how do you remove it?

    • @KizartStudio
      @KizartStudio  4 года назад +2

      You should wear a mask because of the smoke, this method is good for letters and line drawings and the ink is not visible when burning over.

      Hi, I haven't tried it. I do not own a thermal printer. If you have a thermal printer, try it and see if it works. And write an additional method in the comments :)

    Nice hacks! Here´s another one: Copy your design (maybe reduced to outlines) on your home office ink-jet printer (adapted right size) on
    simple overhead foil! Use brownish, wooden-like colortones for the print, so it will merge invisivble with you pyro then. Now carefully transfer to the right position of your wood, let it come down, don't move it anymore. Hold secure, or tape the edges for larger motives, and use some kind of plasic spatula or plastic (old credit-) card to transfer the sketch by "brushing over" with medium pressure, section by section. Now have your sketch on the wood! ...Foil can be cleaned afterwards and used several times. Have fun ;)

    Instead of a wood burner, can you just take an old Iron?

      Technically you can, it's the same principle, I just don't know how long it will last.

    • @KizartStudio
      @KizartStudio  3 года назад

      It needs to have acetone in its ingredients. Usually, nail polish remover is without acetone, 'cus it not so good for the nails.

    So what am I doing wrong? I used the Acetone method, and it was just not transferring everything only the really dark spots of my print. Does the type of acetone matter? I’m using industrial pure acetone. With normal paper and a laser printer. Maybe not enough acetone? Help.. 😂

    • @KizartStudio

      Take a piece of wood, preferably a smooth surface, (sanded).
      Soak a cloth in acetone and try different amounts of acetone, it is not good when it is too much or when it is too little. Press a little harder, rub and see the result.

    About the acetone method, does it work on terracotta? Or just wood?

    • @KizartStudio
      @KizartStudio  3 года назад

      I'm not sure, but this method is applicable to polymer clay. Try it and see if it works.

    • @KizartStudio
      @KizartStudio  3 года назад +1

      You must use a laser printer. Inkjet printer ink may bleed too much.

      Hey Daisy Duke. You know it’s actually one less character to type “your” instead of “yall’s”?
      Congratulations anyway on getting at least one of the two apostrophes in that “not a word”.
      Y’all have a great day now, y’hear!
