@Droideka133 As far as I know, there was no specific signal for nuclear fallout in the US. I think that they simply used the 'Attack' signal (also called the 'Take Cover' signal). Remember that not many sirens used for CD purposes were three-signal models. Most could only do two signals - 'Alert' and 'Attack'. Three-signal models were introduced primarily for use by VFDs, where the third-signal would be used to call the fire fighters.
they can, by wiring the solenoids together to make them open and close manually in a pulse style in synchronization. Also you could order it special with a pulse option.
More specifically, Fallout expected in an hour, used to let you know to finish everything you haven't after the attack. The black warnings were given by whistle, gongs, bells or special, loud rockets known as maroons. If I'm correct, the Grey Warning was discontinued at some point as noted by the absence of it in Protect and Survive. Nowadays, pulsed signals are common at nuclear plants to denote an emergency.
@Droideka133 That was in the UK, not in the US. No Thunderbolts were ever used in the UK. In the US, Pulse was an alternative to Hi-Lo as a 'third signal', often used as a 'Fire' signal.
pulse is used for multiple things. it can be used for fire call, Medical call, radioactive material leak(e.g fallout), nuclear reactor core meltdown. also why did Ze Double Agent_ reply to her own comment with no that is attack signal?
lilaj34siren: Photo is not of siren recorded. It is either 1000 or 1000T. Externally identical, internally one is dual-choppered for that famous g r r owll!
@russelD9 While most of the UK is still using very primitive Castle Castings sirens, Sentry, ASC and Federal Signal all offer their sirens for other countries. Federal Signal sucks ass nowadays but Sentry is great.
Fun fact this thunderbolt isn't a 1003, and it was removed a couple years ago.
Teacher: Ok class, it’s almost time for the fire dri-
The fire alarm:
Somehow I find that relatable.
Perfect alarm clock sound effect
Yeah for a siren lover lol
Yeah

Someone should use this at their alarm clock lol
I wonder if this is what "Grey Warning" would have sounded like. ☢️
Sounds like my truck baking up
Wow my old channel got a lot of likes keep them coming guys :D
HAHAHA

I wish it was my car alarm lol
What was the pulse used for? WWII? Or some kind of alert? It's really cool so I'm trying to find out.
Warning of fallout, mostly
Nuclear fallout
@@disconnectatfunniez9189 could it also be for a fire call?
@@Coldfire1010 any signal can be used for any warning. Attack can be used as a fire call or pulse can be used as all clear
@@auggatronicRoblox_official oh ok

I wonder if single-tones can do pulse? I know it should at least be possible in theory, but I don't know if it actually gets implemented.
Well, whether the siren is single tone or not, solenoids would be required for it to do pulse, hi-lo, and alternateing wail.
they can: even electronic ones do
Just that the tone has to be made. Search up "ASC Pulse Signal"
Pulse would be used for a Nuclear Disaster, like a power plant. Although I don't think Thunderbolts could do Pulse, just Hi-Lo.
they can, by wiring the solenoids together to make them open and close manually in a pulse style in synchronization. Also you could order it special with a pulse option.
thunderbolts can do pulse...you just had to request it upon installation
1003's can. Regular thunderbolts dont have solenoids
Is it me or this thunderbolt doesn't have solenoids?

Excellent synth. Very impressive.
Perfect sleep muic
This is exactly what I was looking for

@MechaRage If I remember correctly, the pulse signal was used as an alert for fallout.
Do that's what it was for!!
Medical call

@@short_kenobi You guys have carters!?!?!?! I'm moving to the UK immediately!!!!!!!
@joesephi kalashnikov Come to Alaska. We got both.
Attack: enemy attacking Alert: all-clear weather alert. Hi-lo: fire alert. Pulse: fallout warning
no that is attack signal
Pulse is one of the 5 different types of fire signal

Droideka133 or the nuclear power plant next door has f*cked up and you need to get the hell out
It shouldn't with a functional pressure-release valve.

Pulse is used for fallout within an hour. Also used for nuclear reactor meltdown
Nobody knows
@fiesty1000: in san diego they just only have whelen sirens like Whelen WPS 2910, 2905, Vortex 4004, and 4003.

This is also called grey warning for imminent fallout
