    Best race in the world, great content, not the same as many Isle of man race video, love the hanging around bit waiting for the race to start, cancelled, and all that way, at least the weather got good for you to enjoy a little madness. Get after it. The tent and the wind are always a hassle. I camp at the Hampton. Get after it.

    The rider name tags are a brilliant idea Bruce, they should do something like that in the tt coverage next year, we all know the main riders but with livery & sponsors changing every year at the tt I can't keep up with who's who by a flash of colour on TV 🤙

    So good to see honest comments about how products really perform. Looking on RUclips there is a plethora of fabulous reviews on that tent which just goes to show how skewed our online world is. I am fortunate to be an ambassador for an Australian company that makes high end outdoor gear and happily I am able to recommend their gear with a clear conscience. But well done for being honest.

      Thanks Geoff, yeah it does piss me off these days as there are so many ‘influencers’ out there giving their verdict on things - and they plainly either don’t have a clue or haven’t actually properly tested the thing they’re reviewing! 🤣🤦‍♂️

    I had the same tent in Scotland earlier in the year and had exactly the same problem. Lone Rider were very very good about it and excepted the tents return and refunded me the cost they could not have been fairer. Other products I have bought from Lone Rider have been very good. Keep up the good work, a few more of your famous extreme tours would be great, take care.

    Bruce, lm sure those who design camping equipment have never been camping! We only use the cheapest basic 2 man double skin dome tents then put a painters tissue paper thin drop sheet between the fly and inner mesh to make the tent 100% waterproof don't roll it past the apex unless it's raining or want a sauna, use some thrown away tent poles couple of guy ropes make yourself an awning for the sunny days. Cheers and Happy Camping Johnny gadget Melbourne Australia

    Great little series this. Just looking back at the photos I took during TT week. And there's your bike parked next to a old Kawasaki two triple in the back of the ginger hall car park in a grass field. I spent the day in the tent next door with Steve Parish. Was an amazing day. This video brought back all those great memories. TT week really is something else. I can see why now people go back every year.
    Ride safe sir, good luck with your channel and motorcycling exploits

    Big tents ain’t designed for wind, their low profile adventure tent is pretty much rock solid.
    Shout out to Dom, 2022 is not a year of many happy memories, the chainsaw incident, the crash at the IOM and the sad loss of a great mate.
    Dom always seemed like a very happy go lucky funny bloke on Chasing the racing, hope he doesn’t lose too much of his zest for life.
    Sorry to get on the subject Bruce but I hope the lap does happen for you one day.

      Cheers Declan - I’ve had mixed feedback about the tent actually, had quite a lot of people message me to say they’ve had the poles break on them too, but also had people say they’ve had no issues at all 🤷‍♂️
      In the interests of fairness, it’s brilliant to be able to stand up in the tent and have all that room - however it either leaked and/or collapsed on me 3 time out of about 5/6 so I wouldn’t spend my own money on one personally 🤷‍♂️👍

    What do you think of the schedule changes for next year? Bit premature given that most people will already have booked accommodation and travel?

    • @teapotone
      @teapotone  2 года назад +1

      Hmmm yeah, I see why they did it, means more people on the island for longer, therefore more cash generated for the islanders etc, but in turn that then means to experience the whole TT race week, you have to stay there longer and it’s a bigger expense for you as a fan 🤷‍♂️
      I’m not sure really if it’s a better deal or not, weather can and will still have an impact so delays will still happen, plus as a fan I don’t really want any more breaks in between the races, I like that it all happens in race week and things get shifted around to accommodate weather and anything that happens.
      It’s change - it won’t be popular to a lot of people, but we’ll still go and watch the racing and love it 🤷‍♂️😉👍

    Made a comment about these tents on a review made by the company themselves, the amount of "it's the best tent ever" I said love to see you put it up when it's wet n windy, I waiting for more ripping great review on a gimmick 🤣.

    • @teapotone
      @teapotone  2 года назад +1

      I was gutted to be honest, really liked having that extra space to stand up inside the tent, or even just sit in a chair and chill out the rain.
      But it’s leaked 3 out of 5 times I’ve used it and collapsed twice, so that’s that.
      I’ve had a LOT of people DM me and say they’ve had the same thing with theirs too sadly
      Shame, as I like the pannier bags I have and have heard great reports on the smaller adventure tent they do

      Many other channels aren’t full time RUclipsrs. Many other channels do different style content, more bike review focussed and so get far higher views and therefore bigger ad revenue.
      I can not survive financially on RUclips revenue alone so have to incorporate multiple income streams in order to pay bills - Patreon makes up over half my income and the kindness, generosity and support I receive from those folk in the Clan is so great, the very least I can do is give some appreciation back in the vids
