Phlip K Dick Robert Silverberg Tim Powers John Brunner Those are some authors who deserve your attention, sci-fi lovers. I wonder after all these years, if they still love sci-fi or, they ended up hating the genre like S. LEM
I`m more into philosophical readings, and many people don`t believe me when i tell them that sci-fi can actually contain a profound and intense meaning. I`m very picky with my readings, so i like authors who are rarely mentioned, like Stanislaw Lem, Ursula K. Le Guin, R.A. Lafferty, J.G. Ballard...
The Seedling Stars James Blish not Bliss. But on the subject of James Blish try his series starting with "A Case Of Conscience" "Dr. Mirabilis" "Black Easter" and "The Day after Judgment" . They are Classic Sci-Fi/Dark Fantasy but reading the full series is well worth the time !
@samspadena Everywhere I look, Sci-fi seems to get grouped together with Fantasy. Every time I go to a book store and look at the "science fiction" section, it is just full of fantasy with a few crappy sci-fi books. It's such a shame because I realy like the genre. Second hand book shops are great for finding good sci-fi though.
@TheThreeWeavers you're right, it isn't SF I hate that bookstores display SF and Fantasy books together; although some books have a mix of both genres they are two very different genres by nature. I appreciate fantasy but SF has always been my favourite genre.
Great new Sci-Fi book out now since July on Amazon.com entitled "The Perfect Pathogen." Love to get your review of it, especially now within the Ebola news of late. Dave
It is so sad that fantasy books are (in my opinion) most damaged by paperback "fashion"...there are plenty of awesome books that I want to my collection, but there is no hardback version of it...
The Founder of PREHISTORIC CHANNEL has recently written his first thriller book. Aptly entitled "THE ICE GORILLA" The book is currently being looked at by movie executives in terms of turning it into a movie. The book is trying to sell 1 million copies to help convince the movie industry that this book should be brought to the big screen. Help make this book into a movie by Checking out THE ICE GORILLA @ Amazon.
He leido mas de 500 libros de Ciencia Ficcion (Science Fiction).....now I'm retired so I only buy the "used" kind....and even these are not cheap (very affordable) anymore.....plus the field is shrinking fast....and bastardized......

Type "hardback princess of mars" in Ebay and you´ll find a couple ranging from $10-15 before shipping

I didn't hear Frank Herbert mentioned.
This video should have been titled Science Fiction and Fantasy Obsessed🔭🐲
Adoro ficção científica. Pena que os livros mais recentes do gênero não sejam tão interessantes

Unbearably irritating music - too loud and totally unnecessary. Love your club though.
